There fine. They do pretty much everything right. It took a couple of hours. They are great machine and they know what they are doing. I've been using them for a long long time.

They fixed the car earlier than expected, and for less money than we anticipated, the repairs were done very quickly, and they remembered our names when we picked up the car.

Prompt, responsive, professional, and extremely pleasant. Made appointment on a Sunday online and they responded via email (after hours). Dropped off vehicle Monday morning. Manager was in constant contact with me during repair process. Informed me they had to order a part (which I expected). Vehicle was finished to next day. Service manager was professional, pleasant, and funny! Mechanic was informative and showed me the exact problem and what was fixed/replaced. Great service from great people!

While having a flat tire patched at another place, I received a quote for brakes that was $200 less expensive than the estimate I got when I took my car to Hollenshade's. However, I have been using Hollenshade's for nearly 25 years, and $200 is absolutely worth knowing that they'll do a quality job with quality materials. I am not a car fanatic, but I won't let anyone else do anything more than change a tire, no matter what the cost. These guys are honest, and they do a fantastic job! I refer everybody there.

Excellent service. They spent almost an hour trying to clean up/salvage my rusted calipers to save me money, but they were too far gone on my eleven-year-old vehicle. Appreciated the effort. Definite recommend. Note: Because of their Angie's rating and prime location between Parkville/Towson, this is a very busy shop. Probably best to drop off your vehicle if you can.

The best place I've gone to is Hollenshade's. I would give them an A for everything. They're really good. They're pretty honest, straightforward and they're competent and they have good prices.

These guys are amazing. They will not up-sell or oversell you on repairs. A friend had an oil leak that the dealer said needed to be repaired for up to $2000. I told her to go to Hollenshades. They found her a ~$50 fix that got her through an inspection and kept her car running just fine. They also are prompt with repairs (I had a dead battery once, a broken shifter cable once, and a broken front end piece). They fixed all of the issues on the same day I brought them the car. These guys are the real deal. If they say you need the repair, you do. This place is like going to your dad for auto care. They will take care of you and keep you safe on the road, but not gouge you in the process.

Great. I acoed them to check my front brakes too and they were honest about the front brakes having plenty of pad remaining. The rear brakes had been grnding for a few weeks and I knew I was looking at new rotors.

They have a very good reputation. They are not cheap but they do pretty good work. It was as scheduled, they finally bring it in and it was done just when they said it would be done; same day. They were expensive but they did it right. I didn't deal much with the staff, the guy I brought the truck in, gave it to the guy, gave him the keys, find the problem and that was it. When it was done I went there, paid and picked it up then left. So I can't say I dealt with any of the mechanics or anyone else; it's like one person. He was professional.

I am knowledgeable of automotive engines, transmissions and ancillary systems. I generally know what maintenance and/or repair needs to be done on my vehicle. I have had work done at Hollenshades for about 10 years. They are always straightforward and honest. They explain what they believe needs to be done and what does not need to be done. Their analysis matches my own,the work is done properly and the price quoted up front is appropriate. As a result I have come to trust them implicitly. In this particular repair they replaced exactly what was needed in a very timely manner. Exactly as I expected from this first class garage.

It went well. I’ve been using them for a while. They don’t tell you something needs to be fixed unless it needs to be fixed. For instance, the dealers said there was a problem with the brakes that they were going to replace. Hollenshade's looked at them and said they don’t need to be replaced. The price for doing the repair is base on the number of hours but if it takes them less time, they will actually charge you what suits them. They won’t charge you more if it takes them more time. I never had any issues with any repairs that they’ve done. They appear to be honest and reasonably priced. They do the work that they say they are going to do. They are professional. You usually don’t need to make an appointment. It’s good to call ahead of time. They would often say to bring the car.

I think they are upfront, they do repairs correctly, and they don't try to get you to do repairs that don't need to be done. They quote booked price as all car shops do but then if it takes them less time, they charge you less. I will use them again. In fact, I hope my husband is going to take my car in there for routine service.

I was very pleased as always. I have been taking my cars to Hollenshades for around 10 years. They are professional, polite and efficient. They make every effort to get your car in and out in a day. They have always communicated any repairs needed before performing them. I would highly recommend them for any auto repair needs.

All of the men at Hollenshade's are very friendly each and every time we go. They have also been right on with their estimates of time until we can pick up the car and they are very conveniently located in our neighborhood. Both my husband and I take our cars to Hollenshades for oil changes and they are reasonable in price compared to our dealership. We've taken cars to them for new brakes and other routine maintenance on both cars. They have always been very helpful to me in answering my questions and are so sweet to my children. We will always go to Hollenshade's over any other choice!

They diagnosed an oil leak in a brand of car that often requires specialized tools. When I made the appointment they were up front about only being able to offer limited services on this brand, but the dealer had missed this leak so I asked them to find it. Find it they did, but they had to add a fluorescent dye to the oil to do so. Involved a return trip after running the dye a few days, and unfortunately theydid not have the specialized tools to fix it. But two visit, two elevations on the lift, finding the leak all for <$15, and they were delightfully courteous and very clear in their communications. Since then I have traded in the Mini on a Chevy and will bring my cars for (non warranty covered) services which I cannot do myself in the future. They've been in business a long time and don't need to advertise; I can certainly understand why this is so.

. again i purchased rear wiper blades . i will return when brakes and rotors are needed. other customers in the shop that day were very satisfied they worked with people in terms of meeting their needs. i drive a subaru forester and their prices were much lower for repair work.i found them because of all the favorable comment on angie"s list

These guys were top notch. Fast, friendly, courteous and I believe they were completely honest. We found them through recommendation by several neighbors and had an excellent experience. This will definitely be our go-to place for all of our car needs.

Went smoothly. Total process took about 1 hour. They disposed of my old tires too. Also recommended that I not wait as long in between rotations of wheels.

Hollenshade's Auto Service I have been using them for thirty years. I was there within the last ten days. They are very honest, it's a family owned business. They take pride in what they do. They are extremely knowledgeable. The other stuff will keep on replacing stuff until they get to the one that is bad and you pay for all of it. They will only replace what is wrong with the car. Their price is reasonable. I wouldn't say they are low, I wouldn't say they are high either. They are reasonable for what they do. You are going to pay what ever an expert is worth and these guys really know their stuff. They have been there forever. You could ride by their garage in the area the place is always packed with cars. Plus he had to buy a lot down the street to store cars in because he didn't have the room. He does a lot of work. Everybody, grandfather, son, grandson, everybody goes to him.

The repair was made within the timeframe promised.
