Description of Work: Definitely some issues around service at Beckleys and not sure if I would recommend to others. Went in to purchase a Grand Design Imagine and everything was going well until about a week before the sale was final. I put a down payment on a Thursday and purchased slide toppers for the new rv. I asked if everything would be ready for a next Friday delivery and was told yes. I received an email on Wednesday from sales that the 9:30 pickup on Friday was still on. I emailed on Thursday asking if everything checked out during the inspection but didn’t get a reply. Took the day off from work and drove up there Friday. As soon as I met the sales rep to finish the sale I was informed the slide toppers wouldn’t be in until next Tuesday. Wasted a trip and no communication from the staff nor any real concern in their part for my wasted day and wasted PTO/Gas. Did a final walkthrough on the rv and noticed the pantry door was warped and had a scratch at the top as well as damage to the door header boards into the bedroom. I requested they be replaced under the manufactures warranty. They said they could just move the hinges to correct it, which they did, and guess what...the door is still warped. I then engaged with the sales manager Gary after no real solutions. His reply was “there isn’t a perfect camper on this lot since human hands build them”. I asked him if the door was warped or straight and his reply was “it’s wavy”. Gary’s attitude wasn’t something you would expect from a large sale or what Beckleys prides themselves in, especially when it’s something covered under warranty and costs Beckleys nothing to repair. It wasn’t until I was able to talk to Michelle, the PDI manager that things started to fall into place with correcting the issues from the manufacturer. Michelle was a delight to work with and actually seems to care about issues and making things right. I understand things are busy and people can overlook details but when you point something out that is wrong and needs fixed, you should want to fix it through the builders warranty process. Also, you need to properly communicate when things won’t be ready rather than just trying to lock in your next sale to boost your numbers.

Not well since they refuse to do any warranty work for RVs not purchased there if it is a make and model they do not carry, even if the manufacturer is willing to pay.
Description of Work: I needed warranty work done on a motor home. They carry that manufacturer although not that make or model. They apparently have a policy that they will not work on any RVs, for warranty work, for those not purchased there. The manufacturer was more than willing to pay for the work and I had that, in writing, and let Beckley's know that. They would not bend. All I needed was for the satellite dish to be repaired, which is the same for any make and model.

It is the only place that I think is really qualified. The price is fair and competitive. They have the professionalism from the staff if there is a problem. I feel like if I am paying a little more, than I should get these other things. You get what you pay for, with the other guys, you are going to pay less, but you get less. If I want a part, and I go to their part store, the guy will be super knowledgeable, and the guy will listen to my story and will be able to problem solve for me. They are willing to spend time with me, willing to give me options, and they are willing to extend themselves for me.
Description of Work: I use Beckley's Camping Ctr for renting RVs.

We met a salesman there named Shawn who was very friendly. He was patient and showed our family many different types of campers. One in particular we were interested in was a trade in. 2005 Coachman I will admit we were newbies to campers but Shawn mentioned the price was 79K repeatedly and we thought he was looking out for us as new customers. What anyone at Beckley's failed to mention and we discovered that day while doing some research was Beckleys posted the SAME camper was on Ebay days before and the bidding capped at for $22,100 the day we found it, and had a Buy it Now FULL Price of only $49K. Now I understand prices can vary but I was mad that without negotiations it was 30K less through Ebay and bidding could have saved me thousands more. And no one ... Shawn or the Manger mentioned it was listed for less online when giving us the on lot price of $79K So if you decide to visit Beckleys - Do your homework and walk away until you can check out to see if they offered the same item on Craigslist or Ebay. After sending an email the next day confronting them about our discovery they pulled the listing off Ebay and said they would have offered me a price under $79K. Yikes !!! For us it was unpleasant enough that we never went back to even give them a second chance..

We bought our RV at Beckley's and brought it back for warranty service, add a generator and wash/wax. The buying experience was OK only. They gave us a price for a trade in but when we brought it in, they low-balled us with the trade in price and gave us much less that we initially negotiated. Next time I will bring in the unit prior to a purchase and get it all in writing. Buying at their parts store is interesting, the sales people try to sell you everything, part of their new RV owners program, After you go through the unit and before signing the papers, you get taken around by a sales person in the store who tries to sell you everything regardless that you have been camping for 20 years and have most of the equipment. You just have to say no to these fellows. The new unit was great but after we took possession, found the whole kitchen counter scratched up and other problems. We noticed some of the problems during the walk-through but not the counter. We guess, based upon the time the unit sat at Beckley's before we bought it, it went to many shows or had many people walking through it. We had to have the rug steam cleaned since so many people probably walked through it. The finish and fit problems were taken care of by Beckley's but we missed quite a bit of damage to report and will let it go. (if they read this, they can contact me to fix these things, we will put in an update) The warranty service took longer, was more involved than Beckley's and I thought but was performed very well. The generator installation was very good, and the wash/wax also very good. I think they use a synthetic wax or shine. It did not last one month at Myrtle Beach. Overall we were very satisfied, any problems that showed up were handled very efficiently and quickly. They are popular so getting an appointment quick is sometimes hard. We are bringing the unit back for some more work, and will use them for any work in the future.
