Joe and his coworker did the work and did an excellent job. To interconnect the smoke detectors he had to fish through the walls and also through the attic. He made only three wholes to connect five smoke detectors and connect the smoke detectors to an existing smoke detector in the basement. So there smokes on three different levels that he had to connect. To do that with only three holes, two of which were quite small was a major feat. They did an excellent job.

They removed my old attic fan and installed the new one with no problems and showed me how to adjust the thermostat control if needed. There were two minor issues that stopped me from giving them an "A". The first is that they did not have a ladder on the truck that was tall enough to "safely" get up into my attic. It's just a standard 8" ceiling access but they only had a short step ladder. I already had a 6" A-frame ladder nearby so it wasn't an issue and I'm sure they would have made it up there using there own if they had too (just not safely). The other issue was that I discovered several decent sized shingle pieces laying in my yard when I mowed a few days later. They removed the shingles to install the new vent hood on the roof so, clean-up could have been better.

It was a good experience. They were about an hour and a half later than expected, but we were the last appointment of the day and they did call and tell us about the delay. On site, they covered everything and cleaned up nicely. They were courteous and professional. They stayed until the work was done, not leaving until after 7pm. We are very pleased with the results.

They installed a new light switch and ceiling fan and the work was done fast and of high quality. They cleaned up the area afterwards and also did a demo of the functions on the ceiling fan. Would highly recommend the company and would use again for future electrical work.

We were very pleased with the estimator (Warren) and the office personnel at JKJ, and even more impressed with the electrician they sent to complete our project, Jason. Jason was courteous, careful and extremely creative. The rework that was required in our home was enormous, yet Jason found creative ways to accomplish the project, with minimal disruption and damage. While we have nothing but high praise for Jason and most of the helpers that participated on the project, we did have problems with one of the helpers. After discussing our concerns, that particular helper was removed from the job site. All in all we were very pleased not only with the administration aspects of the job, but certainly with quality of work and the outcome.

They came right on time, checked out and fixed the outlet at the pond, then came in and just as efficiently checked out the indoor switch and found and fixed the problem in the fixture.
Because of my work schedule they would not have been able to come for several weeks, but they went out of their way to squeeze me in first thing in the morning, so I wouldn't have to wait so long.
I will definitely use them again, the next time I have a problem or need!

I called on Tuesday. Made the appointment for Thursday a.m. They arrived on time. I showed them where I wanted the work done. They completed the work promptly and accomplished a walk light system repair. This is the second time I have use JKJ. I will use them again for any additional electrical work.

Our attic fan went on the fritz and we called JKJ to install because we saw that they had a special on attic fans. The workman arrived within the time frame stated, was polite and professional, wore footies in the house and completed the work within a reasonable amount of time. There were no surprises in the final bill which has not always been the case with some contractors. We were very satisfied with the work and it is nice to have an attic fan that works especially in this exceedingly hot weather.

Let me start by saying that the service the electrican provided was excellent. I have no complaints. Where the company let me down was in the front office. I had called to schedule an appointment and they said they would call me back with the day and time. They never did. Therefore I scheduled a different electrician. But somehow the work order was sent out and the electrician came in the morning. I then had to cancel my appointment with the other company. JKJ would have received top marks had the communication and planning been carried out better. Their prices were a little bit more (about 25 an hour) than the other company i had contacted.

"While this was a free estimate, not a service call, JKJ personnel still maintained the same courtesy to the client. This includes promptness based on the information we had. When we talked with the member, who made the appointment, she asked us to call her husband before we came so he could meet us there. Our Project Manager, Warren, called several times and did not reach the member. The member did return our 4th call. Warren told him he thought he could be there within 30 minutes based on distance and expected traffic patterns. In Washington DC, traffic is always unpredictable. This was one of those times. There was road work in route and Warren told the member he would be another 15 minutes due to stalled traffic. Only then did Warren know that the member had been waiting from the beginning of the two hour window we had given the member. Because she had instructed us to call so he could meet us, we did as she said. Our times are scheduled fairly tightly so we would have preferred to know he was waiting at the home, rather than waiting for a call from us. We're very sorry for his inconvenience. This was clearly a case of missed communication."

I called on Tuesday and had I been available, they could have come out to see me that day. I scheduled for the next morning and Paul showed up within the first 30 minutes of the arrival window provided (you taking notes, RCN Cable?). He was very professional and friendly. I gave him the walk-through and told him everything that needed to be done. He finished in less time and below the estimate based on my description of the work over the phone (which was already the cheapest estimate I had received). He even double checked the box to make sure it was correctly labeled since the pencil had worn off on some of the fuse labels. Overall, I was very impressed and will be using JKJ for all my electrical work in the future.

I phoned early that morning, spoke with Paul. He was able to schedule a time the very same day to complete my task of electricity for an attic fan and light. Joe and Conth were fabulous, speedy, friendly and should I have future needs, I hope they send these two. It was all done in less than a hour and the price quoted, to my surprise was much lower. They knew what they were doing, and went about doing it to my satisfaction. Great experience.

They were very pleasant during the scheduling and were flexible enough to change the installation date at the last minute to accommodate a change in my schedule. The installer was friendly, worked quickly, and cleaned up when he was done. The fans both work perfectly. My only complaint is that the installer was quite late in arriving and I didn't get any kind of call from the company to alert me so I wasn't sure if he was coming or not. But once he arrived, the work was great.

I contacted Angie?s List for an electrician to create a new circuit from my breaker box to serve a newly-installed cabinet. I delivered a to-scale drawing of the job to each, and in addition to the on-site contactor in our gated senior community. Our on-site contactor estimated three hours for this job at a rate he believed to be the lowest possible. (However, I have known his electricians to be haphazard and slow.)
I selected JKJ Electricians from Angie?s List. The youngish electrician they sent was so fascinating that I watched his entire installation. He set to work immediately, swiftly and confidently completing each separate move even as he reached into his parts bag or tool kit for the item he knew would be needed next. He completed the entire job in about half the time estimated by our on-site contractor. JKJ?s worker displayed a skill one rarely sees these days, for a cost slightly less than the ?bargain rate? quoted by our on-site contractor. JKJ was the right choice, and I will call them again for future electrical work. I rate them ?excellent? (A) in all categories.

Initially the room had no ceiling light (only outlets). They sent two individuals who were very friendly, professional and pretty quick (they got it all done in 1.5 hours). They called prior to arriving to give me an approximate time which was what I had been given over the phone when I called for the service. They also installed a dimmer in the room (it will be a nursery). Overall great experience (used the Angie's list 10% discount)

I would not rate them highly. The guy that came out was not friendly. There was a 10% Angie's List discount, which he did not give me so I had to call the office later and then get it. The office was fine, I just felt that the work was not done as well as it could have been. One of the electric boxes he put in kind of crooked and my husband had to fix it himself. I was not happy with the electrician and I will never use them again. The price, I thought, was fair. I didn't give them a chance to fix it because I didn't want to deal with them anymore.

"Of course, we're very sorry the member was not pleased, for any reason. There was a week between she received the estimate for the work and when the work was performed. The following statement appeared on the estimate: " Although utmost care will be taken JKJ will not be responsible for any drywall damage due to routing of wires." Our men are electricians, not dry wallers. It would not be to our customer's advantage to have them attempt the repairs. The electricians on the member's job does most of our service calls so many of the A ratings you see are his. It's unlike him to not be very courteous and usually goes out of his way to be helpful and is very careful to clean up well."

My experience with JKJ was very positive from getting the estimate to doing the work. I got an appointment for an estimate in a reasonable amount of time. Jason Larson, the estimator, gave me an behourly and a job rate. I mistakenly elected to use the hourly rate because the circuit was to be mounted to the surface of the wall and I did not think it would take two hours to do the work. I was wrong. It took more than two hours. The electrician who did the work did a very good job and was very competent. The work took longer than predicted because the wiring had to go through wall studs.

Everything went well. I looked up Angie's list and decided on JKJ Electric. I called the listed number and by chance the owner answered the phone. He was not able to schedule an appointment for me on the phone but his assistant called me back within 5 minutes and sent an electrician to my home within 1 hour. The electrician was quick to find the problem (malfunctioned outlets in the kitchen) and he replaced them all within an hour. The whole group (the owner, his assitant, and the electrician) handled my job very well and professional. I don't know the current market price for electrician work so I cannot comment on the price but I am OK with what they charged me for the service they provided. I will use this company again.
