I do apologize that you feel this way about Chuck. I will say it is unusual to get this type of feed back about him as a professional. He is generally very easy going and loves talking about trees. The report did come back to me, that your main thing you wanted was not to trim your trees right now, but put a swing up in a tree. Chuck did explain to you that he would not do this due to the condition of the trees, which there is a note here that there is possible rot at the top of the trees as well. As a professional he did explain to you that he would not hang the swing due to the liability of possibly putting children at risk with the trees in the shape they were in. Our job as a licensed professional is to recommend what is best for the future safety and health of your trees. I do find your words harsh and I am sure that Chuck's intention was not insinuate you were stupid, but was trying to educate you. When you called to set the estimate appointment - I do believe you misled us because you had an appointment for an estimate to trim the trees, not telling us that you only wanted the swing hung now and possible trimming in the Spring. I would not have set this appointment if that was known due to our minimum charge for service this time of year. We would not just hang a swing because it would be too costly for you and we would have referred you to someone who could have done just that for you (which I am thankful we did not refer someone knowing that the trees are not safe for the swing). I feel this review is not fair and unjustified and should be removed from our page. We have been serving the area for over 30 years and although we may not be perfect, we do take pride in doing our best to give the best possible service to our customers. Thank you for your review. This is very helpful for us, so we can correct these minor communication issues we are having in the field. I do know as soon as I got the phone call in the office, I communicated with the crew and had it straightened out immediately. The stump crew usually is a few days behind on grinding from any removal, is why that 4th stump had a 2 day turnaround time. Chuck did do the 4th stump as a professional courtesy, since all of the other stumps inside the fence were getting ground. I did not get a report of yard damage and if I would have known, we certainly would have sent someone right out to assess. This is the 1st I am hearing about this. I am sorry that we have not made you a satisfied customer, although it is always our intent to give the best service possible. Thank you for your review. I remember this time of year vividly. This was the week the tornado hit the area and I was on vacation. We came back to our home based office and there were 8 large Oak trees fallen, 1 on our truck, 1 on the house, several in the back yard. We had no phone lines, no power and no water. So yes, getting messages and contacting people was a bit difficult, which I am sure was explained at the time. Chuck is very honest with his customers and I believe there was a mis-understanding of what work was quoted and what was expected to be done, therefor he tried to communicate this to be honest. I understand that you were not happy with the outcome, but for us being a small based company, it was better for us not to get involved in the job and take a loss for work that was expected to be done, that we did not quote. I do apologize for the inconvenience and do hope you were able to find a contractor that could do the work you wanted for the pricing you desired.Service Provider Response

This information is not completely accurate. When (deleted member name) called she did say she had purchased a big deal coupon. She stated that she had some trimming and a stump to be ground. She was under the impression that everything would be included because she bought a coupon. I explained that we had to do a proposal to see what would be covered up to $400.00. We went, did the proposal that included the trimming and stump, which she signed - agreeing to do the trimming only. (deleted member name) had called a few times asking when the work would be done. Chuck did send a crew on a day he had an family emergency that required him to be out of town, which was bad on his part, wanting to have (deleted member name) service completed. The trimming was completed, then the crew chief mis-understood the paperwork and sent a crew back to do the stump. (deleted member name) called when they were in progress, which Chuck ask what she wanted him to do - complete the stump grinding or stop in the middle. (deleted member name) asked that they continue to complete the stump and told Chuck that she would pay for the stump grinding if Chuck would remove the stump grindings to ground level, which Chuck did at no charge. We admit that the mistake was done on grinding the stump - but her statement is not completely accurate. We did nothing fraudulent and are not happy with being accused of this. We would not have completed the stump work in progress if she did not tell us to continue it. We are not in the business to "steal" from customers. A mis-communicaton did occur between Chuck and crew - and that is all we are guilty of. I will never understand why all of the 100's of other satisfied customers do not send in the great comments of our services, but when an honest mis-understanding occurs - that person is always quick to let the World know. This is unfair to the contractor and makes us not want to offer these great deals to customers in the future - which is sad for the people who would greatly appreciate getting good quality work at a discounted fee.Service Provider Response
