These are the best windows money can buy, and outstanding service! The estimate was the final price, the follow-up measurements were quick and on time, and the installers arrived when expected, and were absolutely superb. They were fast, safe, professional, and very neat and clean, too. The best thing is the warranty. We had a small problem with one window after install, and it’s already been addressed. Then, when a crew was here to install gutters, they cracked one of the windows. No problem - that’s covered by the warranty! While the price is a little higher than your average installer, the product is top shelf, the service can’t be beat, and you will have complete peace of mind with their warranty. It’s worth every penny!

Power Home Remodeling was very personable and reasonable in their consultation. Options were presented, and while they will advise you on recommended projects, they are very reasonable in what is a need vs what is a project for down the road. If you don't want to pursue a project, they won't push you out of your comfort zone. Our fascia was rotting, even letting in critters into the attic. This fascia needed replaced, as did the gutters as they had to come off for the repair (and they were old and falling off, too). Unfortunately, it was missed in the project review that the crown molding under the fascia would need to be removed to make room for the new fascia and gutters. Power Home Remodeling was very understanding that this was a surprise, and as they don't like to surprise their customers, they capped the newly exposed wood free of charge. Their work was very professional and payment is not expected until after the job is done. We could not be happier with the quality of the work and will certainly reach out to Power Home Remodeling if and when more work is required as we periodically update our home away from rotting wood to modern siding.

Everything was covered under warranty, so there were no charges involved. Servicemen arrived right on time, looked everything over to make sure of what they needed to do, and fixed things to my complete satisfaction.

Excellent! They got them all installed in one day. The did a fantastic job in sealing the windows on the inside and the outside against water damage. The windows are excellent quality. The windows AND the sealing work have a lifetime warranty. The workmen were professional and left the house as clean as when they arrived. They come when they say they are going to come. They ensure that you are satisfied with the work before they leave. I would definitely recommend them.

Product is excellent, installation excellent. However, they replaced the old metal window frames with wood frames and I have 2 issues: I told the sales rep I wanted 6" sills as in the old frames, they put in 2" sills, so I have ~20 plants to find new real estate for; the frames are primed but not painted, so now I have another major project to do. This was not explained to me, I presumed they came factory-painted. Better communication with the client is needed.

Power home did a door to door, after meeting with their rep for siding, we liked the superior quality of their vinyl siding with a foam backing. Our current siding had issues of water penetration and algae growth and frankly was cheap as the previous owner took advantage of drive by sales after a hail storm. On their QA inspection post install? They found further water penetration through the roof and provided me proof of that so we went high end with a GAF roofing system. End result? Yeah it cost quite a bit more than my comfort zone. But you get what you pay for. We are more comfortable, and since this occurred during winter? I noted my heat pump did not cycle as often. And we got our electric company assessment for energy use for a totally electric home? Excellent. Impact of the better siding and better roof.

We had our siding done this past summer. Initially, we had a great experience with the salesman, he was kind and understanding of our hesitance to start an expensive project, but he worked with us and financing and we came to a deal. Once the project started though, it was one mess after another. They tore apart some of our deck and did not replace it until after we called several times. They left nails all over to the point that we ran over nails twice AFTER we asked them to clean them up. We’ve had to call twice in the last 6 months to ask them to come fix pieces of siding that need to be put back into place. Despite the issues we had with the siding, we went ahead before the project was even complete and booked them to replace the exterior door. Again, they gave us what we felt like was a good deal compared to home improvement stores, and we liked the looks of our options. When the installation day came the contractor began work on a door dating back to 1929 without proper lead containment. The door had tested positive for lead paint by the company, and it took 3 phone calls to the company to get the contractor to properly contain the lead. Unfortunately, there was a language barrier so we couldn’t ask the contractor to stop working and clearly communicate the issue. By the time a project manager came out to properly contain the area, the project was nearly complete. The project manager and the contractor did stay and clean the immediate area around the door, however the damage was done. The lead dust was found throughout my house, in the HVAC filter and in my children’s playroom. Power has never tried to apologize for or make amends for this major breach. We paid for independent lead testing outside of their tests, and they have not reimbursed us, nor offered us any financial compensation for their major mistake. I will never work with this company again, and while my siding and door are beautiful, I can not recommend this company. We paid over $30,000 for these projects combined, and feel like a company of this size should have had a better response.

product presentation went very well, measurements were taken and work was done on day that it was supposed to. however I was promised extensions on my downspouts which I never got. I also noticed some damage to my siding that wasn't there before the work was done. a quality assurance manager came out to check the work and I told him about the extensions and showed him the siding and he tried to contact both the original salesperson and the man who did the measurements. he said neither could be reached. I did a quick fix on the siding but I would like MY EXTENSIONS.

Extremely Satisfied with work completed. Everyone we dealt with in the company was extremely friendly, outgoing, professional and efficient. I would highly recommend this company. From start to finish, they walked you through every step of the process and ensured you were satisfied and comfortable with what was being done. Everything was explained in detail. It was a very smooth process. Quality workmanship, quality materials and outstanding employees. It was an absolute pleasure to work with them. I really can't say enough good things about the company. We will definitely have them back to complete our remaining projects.

We’ve been very pleased with our experience with window replacements done by Power Home Remodeling. A month ago, we met with a Power salesman who inventoried the windows in our house and gave us an estimate of the cost of replacing all the windows. The cost was considerably more than we were prepared to spend, especially since our existing windows (wood frames, 18-year-old house) seemed to be mostly adequate for now. Initially, we made it very clear that we were not prepared to purchase any sort of replacement windows and were interested only in getting a cost estimate for future planning purposes. As the presentation wore on (and on and on – total of more than 4 hours, though this also included questions on our part and reading and signing documents), we became impressed with the quality of the Power window (durable vinyl frame, no painting, easier to open and clean, better energy efficiency, etc.) and the pricing options that were available if we made a purchase that day. We normally steer clear of such pricing deals, but this one included a lock-in of favorable pricing for at least 5 years. Since we were planning to replace a number of windows in that time frame anyway, that proved to be an important feature of their terms. We signed on for the minimum number of windows they would sell us (4 large double-hung windows for the ground floor front). Within a day or two, Power sent a pre-installation inspector to confirm the salesman’s window measurements and explain the installation process, then scheduled an installation date. The installation was done one week after we signed the agreement. The installers were on time and very efficient in removing the old windows and installing the new ones. The installers did a good job with sealing the windows, and they left the house clean and tidy. During the process, we noticed that there were some scuff marks on the frames of two of the full-window screens (fairly minor and only visible close up). Power insisted on replacing them despite these small defects, and that is scheduled to happen soon. With that small exception, the windows were in perfect shape. A quality control inspector came three days later to verify that the work met their standards. Power did an excellent job of communicating the status of our project and confirming appointments. We’ve seen a number of pretty bad complaints about them on the Better Business Bureau web site and just as many strongly positive ones on the Consumer Affairs site. All we can add is that our experience has been nothing but good and we would recommend them highly to anyone considering window replacement. Keep in mind that you don’t have to make the huge investment of replacing all your windows; Power is happy to do as few as 4 windows without obligating you to do anything else at a later time. We’ve already decided to replace the other 5 windows on the front of our house. When we’re ready to do more, we plan to call Power.

I wasn't just oversold on having my two windows and sliding door replaced—this was a total bait and switch. The sales pitch sounded good and made sense as to why I would want to pay more for their products and services. However, a majority of the promises were simply not true. I was told these would be premium, top of the line, custom windows and door. The sample model I was shown was very nice. One of the really nice things was the seamless corners on the window frames, and I was shown how the frame between the two panes of glass was plastic instead of metal, because metal and glass expand and retract at different rates and this design flaw is what causes fog or condensation in between in glass. I was promised everything would be a custom fit, and was specifically told there would be no shimming, as other contractors might do to make a standard product fit. The windows and door that were installed were builder grade. They were not the premium products I was sold—no seamless corners and metal framing between the panes of glass. There were also blemishes in the finish on the outside of the door, to which the install guys applied colored caulk over. It looks totally unprofessional. Also, the door did not fit my opening, even after they built it out. There was more than an inch of light around the frame before they filled it with spray foam. The trim they put back on the inside had to be twice as wide as before to cover the amount of space between the door frame and the wall. I would have been better off spending the most I could at either Lowe's or Home Depot. I would have received better quality and still saved money! I could live with what I got if I cut corners to try and get a deal, but I'm seriously left wondering for what did I pay extra? I tried reaching back out to Power for a resolution, but it's been a week, and I have yet to get a response. I'm now left to disputing the credit card charge and dealing with their financing company. Luckily there's a local consumer protection agency in my county where I can file a complaint.

service was done in 2 stages since we decided to add 2 windows to the job. first install was done late on 8/19 the crew was extremely professional and did a very thorough job with the porch door and especially replacing the rotten frame around the old porch door. We love the new porch door since no longer is there a gap and the door is very secure. the windows are also easy to use. the second install is being done today, the crew again is very professional and courteous. they arrived very punctual early in the morning as requested.

Warning: They employ the frustrating high pressure "first visit" sales approach. They will take up hours of your time, claim to not be high pressure, but when their estimate comes in at 2 to 3 times the cost of others, it's obvious why they try so hard to get you to sign a contract on the spot. They spend a lot of time telling you that if you use any other company your life will be ruined. The idea that they can offer a price $6k lower on their first visit is absolutely utterly absurd. Provide a reasonable estimate and no one needs to come back out to finalize the deal. Period. They claim to be "mid-range" in price but if you do your research, you'll see that they want to charge more than even the highest area averages. They may do good work and use good products (I can't really say) but the high pressure sales tactics combined with extremely high price left me with a very bad taste after losing an entire Saturday afternoon. Felt very similar to frustrating sales experiences we had with Thompson Creek and Long Windows.
Response from Power Home Remodeling
"Thank you for taking the time to review your experience with Power. Our goal is to provide long term value to our customer for their investment in a premium product and service, not necessarily to offer the cheapest options available. We acknowledge that our in-home estimates may last longer than homeowners might initially expect. It is never our intention to overstay our welcome in a customer's home. Setting expectations for the installation process is paramount for a seamless remodeling experience. Sometimes this takes longer than anticipated. Having performed over one million installations in our time, we’ve noticed that homeowners are more pleased with their decision to invest more to receive a premium product and installation, and our 96% customer satisfaction rating speaks to that. If you have any further questions or concerns, please reach out to Customer Care Department at [email protected] or 888-736-6335, option 4 at the prompt. We’ll make sure to do everything we can to satisfy your expectations and deliver the type of service you expect and deserve."
