Details, details, details. From the pre-inspection through completion, Power HRG was prompt, courteous, and professional. The living room was actually cleaner when they left than when they arrived! Living in an older home creates a lot of challenges when you take on any remodeling effort. Fortunately, Joe and his team were ready for all of them! They listened to every concern I brought up and did not leave until they were sure that all of my concerns were addressed. The end result is beautiful, as well as much more energy efficient. I definitely plan to work with them again - starting with replacing an old sliding door. Over time, they will be replacing all of my windows and doors, as well as the siding on the back of the house. I look forward to working with them again.

My interaction with them was not great. I could not get in contact with them and coordinate correctly. Their method is kind of strange. You have to call them back, and you cannot talk to anybody. You call back and forth with them for several times. It seemed like I talk to a different person every time, and they were not aware of the person that I talked to last time. They were not really interested. I think they are the people that do the appointments, and get paid on a per appointment basis so they do not worry that you are setting up with somebody else already. That was a little strange. I setup something and they want you to call back and confirm. One day, I talked to somebody and asked how it works. It was 2:30, and we set an appointment at 4:00. When I got there, they did not show up. Subsequent to that, I found out that they had called me while I was driving home, but I was already in the car at that time. It was a mess. I was not too impressed with the whole process.

I scheduled an estimate with these guys at a home show for window replacement. The sales rep at the home show was very friendly as was the rep that came to do my estimate. However, I was not aware that the estimate would take 3 hours of my time and include buy now or pay 30% more sales tactic at the end and that price was over 25% higher than even Renewal By Andersen gave me. The calculation of the estimate itself took a lot of time in itself and after it was clear that I was not making a decision that night, the rep was sad and slowly packed his things while trying to make last ditch efforts to point out negatives of other window companies. It's too bad because it seems like they have a decent product but the whole experience is ruined by the pressure sales pitch.

Sales rep showed up 24 minutes late for a visit I planned on taking no more than 60 minutes. Typical young, optimistic, happy sales smile and handshake accompanied a barrage of reasons the company doesn't tell customers when they're running late: 1) tells me that the pre-sales guy yesterday should have told us that the appt time was really just a 30 minute window; one person thrown under the bus 2) tells me that the company doesn't give the salesperson the phone numbers for the appointments they're going to; one company thrown under the bus 3) tells me that "the cable company" gives a 2 or 3 hour window for appointments; now comparing his company's customer service habits to that of an industry which is generally considered the worst service in America's landscape (BTW-our cable company is excellent and always calls when they're late) 4) tells me he only found out about our appointment an hour and 15 minutes before he was supposed to be here, and tells me where he was when he got that information; throwing his company under the bus again 5) I told him that in my business, I've been going to people's homes for 26 years, I've been calling or texting with an ETA anytime I'm running late since cell phones came into use; he interrupted me twice when while I was trying to tell him this to tell me that he didn't have my phone number (he already told me this-see above) 6) he tells me that if he called his home office/dispatcher and told them that he was running 20 minutes late to an appointment, all they would do is tell him that the customer already knows he could be up to 30 minutes late 7) he tells me that because his company is so far from where our house is, that's another reason I can't expect the company to keep actual appointments, but 30 minute windows 7) I told him that my not wanting to have an estimate done was because his company 1) had policies in place to keep its workers from directly contacting the customer 2) they were too far away 3) they considered 30 minutes late "on time", and 4) the employees didn't support each other....all the while he was interrupting me to tell me how I'd gotten it all wrong. 8) A subsequent phone call to the headquarters office started off with a man telling my wife that he "is a supervisor" after she asked to speak to a supervisor, and bring very reluctant to give her his first name (we didn't even ask for a last name), then after a 13 minute hold, offered to put us through to the salesperson's (who had just left our house looking at the house smirking and shaking his head because I told him wedidn't want an estimate) supervisor, and then we only got the supervisor's voice mail Somebody-please-tell my cable company to go into the roofing business.

The company said they would be there between 8;00 and 10:00 and they showed up in that time frame. I had 17 windows replaced. These guys had these windows replaced in 8 hours and they did a beautiful job. I was kind of hesitant signing with these guys because they said they didn't advertise. Did a little research and went ahead with it. These guys were awesome. They exceeded my expectations. There were cheaper contractors around but I was glad I went with this company. The boss was named Chris and he had 2 people helping him.

Their professionalism is great. It seems as if their construction crew knows what they are doing, checking for damages first before they wrap the house and put on the vinyl siding with insulation. There is a lot of noise, but they are not really damaging anything around the property.

Last week we had a salesman came to our house to give us an estimate for a new roof. Not only did it take over 2 hours to get any mention of cost, but when he finally did gave us a number it was so outrageously expensive that we immediately said no. For 20 minutes then he proceeded to reduce the price by a third...which seems a bit suspicious...each reduction was preceded by us saying no. Not only was this a bit strange but in order to get this "reduced"/ over priced estimate (still) we had to lock in immediately-something about a first visit discount.. Not only did he keep reducing the price but during his 2 hour debacle, he needed to use our bathroom, then he needed water, then he needed to plug in his computer. He also started talking about changing the structure of our roof, even though I kept insisting that all of that was fine and that all we needed was a roof.

A friendly, courteous Power rep appeared at my door offering a free estimate on replacement windows. I agreed, since the work had needed to be done for many years, and a sales rep showed up punctually at the appointed time a few days later. This young man was energetic, courteous, and very knowledgable, but the "estimate" turned into a 3-hour illustrated session on the company's history and policies, the interior anatomy of various types of windows (complete with visual aids and demonstrations), and a PowerPoint comparison of Power's prices with those of several other national brands. It was a bit overwhelming, but the rep's appealing personality, eagerness to please, and obvious confidence in his company and product eased the pain. He offered me several types of discounts and I ended up getting financing for new windows and gutters. Power custom makes their windows, so careful measurements were taken of each window. A few days before work began, a project chief came by to double check measurements and details of the products I purchased. Power reps contacted me by phone regarding each step in the process and reminders of each appointment. All work was done in one day. The crew chief was punctual, courteous, and informative, and his crew worked quickly, finishing on the inside first and cleaning up after themselves. At midday a manager from Power arranged by phone to drop in to oversee progress and talk to me about any questions I had. He gave me a tutorial on how the new windows worked and answered all my questions about financing details. He was extremely pleasant and reassuring. Thirteen new windows plus new gutters and downspouts were installed within about 8 hours, with no mess left behind. I usually avoid working with large, national companies, and I certainly could have gotten less expensive windows. But I'm confident that I got a high-quality product at a price comparable to other companies. Power offers a no-questions, lifetime warranty on its products, and no penalty for early payoff of financing. All of my interactions with Power's reps and workmen were positive. In fact, I enjoyed interacting with their people, despite my anxiety about the expense of the project. I especially appreciated their punctuality and efficiency. They are indeed excellent salesmen, but I never felt I was being manipulated. I already see a difference in heat retention with the new windows.

High pressure sale tactics however, I contracted with them with a $500.00 discount.

Excellent. Received visit from salesman, who provided excellent demonstration of their product and available pricing/payment options. Best pricing/payment is available only on day of their visit. Only criticism is being given the day of presentation to take advantage of their best pricing/payment option. Was our first estimate for windows, so would have felt less pressure if they'd afforded 2-3 days on estimate in order to compare pricing/quality with other companies. Not sure how to evaluate price since we didn't get opportunity to shop around, hence the "B" for that area above. Only able to afford half the windows at this time, but company said discounted price/low interest financing/low monthly payment option will apply when we're ready to install remainder of windows. Coming from Baltimore, they told me they wouldn't be able to arrive until late morning due to traffic, and to plan on two-day job. They competed removal and installation of all windows on first day and applied interior caulking. Completed insulation, exterior caulking and wrapping on second day. Workers were very professional and friendly, and appeared very proficient at their trade. All areas were cleaned and debris removed each day. Was informed that Quality Inspector would be coming by and expect call for appointment confirmation, but never heard back nor saw inspector. Some minor issues will require attention (screen that doesn't close properly), but, overall, we are most pleased with our custom windows, and can already notice significant improvement in inside/outside barrier.

They scheduled the service immediately after we committed to do the work. The staff was done in a couple hours. Very professional and concerned about customer satisfaction.

Power not only met, but far exceeded our expectations. Everyone on the team was extremely professional. The sales presentation was thorough without being overbearing and the installation crew was outstanding. The crew arrived ontime and got to work right away. The guys were efficient and cleaned up as they worked. When the crew left for the day there was no evidence that they had been there at all. In fact they put drop cloths down throughout the house. If you need your windows done call them you won't be dissapointed. My wife and I have already started discussing what project we'll have Power do next.
