Description of Work: Replaced 24 windows and the front door. Windows are high quality, look good, and work perfectly. Work area was left cleaner than they found it. Air conditioner works far less than it did with the old leaky windows and door. The workers, foreman and sales people were friendly and pleasant. Price kept going down as we discussed the project but I think it works like that with all window companies.

Description of Work: Salespeople lied, and when caught at it justified it as necessary to build their business. Estimator was obnoxious, abrasive and attempted to be intimidating - I was picking up my telephone to call the County Police to have him removed from my house when he finally left.

Description of Work: The contractors were very professional....I loved the materials used...Like Financing availablity ....Found they were a bit expensive but it the project is going to be fimanced for 5 yrs and contractors are used, you are going to pay more than average...

Description of Work: New roofing system, gutters, aluminum capping on windows

Description of Work: Installed a new roof, including plywood underneath, all new soffits and fascia, and gutters. Work was completed on time and very efficiently. Each day crew left everything was cleaned up. More expensive however we liked the guarantees that no mold, moss would grow on roof (we live in woods) and the long transferable warranty. They went to a lot of effort to explain all materials and steps along the way.

Description of Work: This is the 4th project Power has done on my home. They've now done roofing, gutters/trim, entry doors and windows on my home. Everyone I've been in touch with throughout the process is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The installers are true craftsman. Couldn't be happier with the work and would absolutely recommend if you value the quality of work performed on your home.

Description of Work: The salesman, whose name was Mike Rough, was a half hour late. He came to give us an estimate on a front door but insisted we needed a new roof instead. He was so focused on selling us a new roof (our roof is rather large) that he never even gave us an estimate for the front door! After we told him "No" to the roof, he refused to leave our house and stayed from 8 pm to 2 am-- 6 hours! I wanted him out of our house and repeatedly said that we had to work the next day. I found his refusal to leave rude. | |After this visit, Mike, unannounced and unexpected, showed up at our house another day because he "was in the neighborhood." I thought that was creepy but realized the guy was really desperate for a sale. Oddly enough, and much to my dismay, my husband felt sorry for the salesman and ended up buying a less expensive item from him. I myself would never do business with Power Homes because I think their prices are extremely inflated, their sales practices are shady, and their salesman was expedient and also disrespectful of our time. | |The one silver lining to all of this: we realized we were going to need a new roof at some point. Therefore, we had a reputable roofing company install a new one that was comparable to the one Power Homes tried to sell us, but we paid $20,000 for it--a huge savings over Power's quote!

Description of Work: Roofing and guttering. |Contracted work was efficient; performance was good; products appear strong. |My concern has been removal of roofing left nails in yard and driveway during the construction, despite the magnetic sweeping done by crews. After the work was done, we got several nails in shoes and in two in tires. We have picked up visible nails and the company has been responsive and returned several times to repeat the magnetic sweeping. Suggest better way to gather nails during roof removal, perhaps spreading plastic sheets around the house and working area. | |

Description of Work: The products seem to be of good quality, but we had trouble with aesthetics. Since the demo window looked a bit claddy for our current home architecture, we added some language to the contract signed apprx 3am (long sale session & one of those get the deal today pressure deals), that says we get the chance to see the types of windows with the framing BEFORE ripping out our existing windows. The sales guy also assured us that he'd have pictures of similar installations supposedly "in our area". We saw examples on their website - all of which blended well with homes that had siding all-around (and if you have existing simpler casing/frame design) - but did not mesh at all with our detailed design. A manager finally agreed to cancel the contract since they could not produce photos w/our architecture styling. Our HOA would not have approved this either. It was also strange that many more salesmen tried selling in our same neighborhood & to us even though the window styles don't match well with the general neighborhood's architecture style. We tried to inform these salesmen, but word did not reach the approp. product management. We're confident that the type of windows they use would work well for certain styles of homes. It'd be interesting if they build up their inventory to expand styles.

Description of Work: Do not allow Power in your home to give you an estimate--they will never leave! This was the second time I had them out to my house for an estimate on a roof. The first time was a year and a half earlier and the salesman would not leave. He was in our home for over 4 hours and was extremely pushy. Every time they solicited service at my door I told them I was not interested. I allowed them back in my home after I was assured by 2 associates that they had made several changes in how they do business and since we were already familiar with the product, they didn't need to spend nearly as much time with us. I was hesitant, but decided to give them a second chance. What a huge mistake. Not only did the salesman stay for 4+ hours again, but he too was pushy. Then there was the price. Haha--it was ridiculous. The quote they gave us was for about $33,000, which included gutters. After they left, we got 2 other quotes from roofing companies which were both roughly around $7,000-$8,000 and also included gutters as well. Power uses gimmicks to try to persuade you into overpaying for their products. They are a joke and a rip off and they never leave! (Of course, there are other details I could provide, but the overall message is to steer clear of this deceitful company!)
