Description of Work: I needed a quote for waterproofing my parents' Cape Cod basement before putting it on the market.

Description of Work: The inspector, Rob Chicherio had previously come out twice to provide me with his review and opinion of my situation. He was very informative. During very hard rains there had been seepage of water into a few areas along the front of the crawlspace. There was never any "sales pressure" at all. I decided to proceed with the work. The crew excavated along the interior walls of my crawlspace, ran drains to each end of the house and had them end into 2 sump pumps that feed outside to my back yard.

Description of Work: The existing paneling was removed from the basement walls. Carpet was taken out. Plastic wrap was hung to cover items which I had moved to the center of the basement. A trench (150 ft long and about 20 inches wide) was dug in the concrete basement floor next to the walls. A drain pipe was placed in the trench then covered with gravel and finally cement. Two sump pumps were installed and connected to the system. Weep holes were drilled in the bottom cinder blocks. Four window well taps were installed. Debris was removed through the window wells. Floors in the living area upstairs that would be walked on were covered with cloth tarps. All debris was removed and the area was cleaned up. Finally they sprayed an EPA approved mold biocide/anti-microbial solution over the entire basement. The job took 4 days to complete.

Description of Work: My basement began having small streams of water coming thru the wall in two or three places. My attempt to patch them myself was not satisfactory and I decided I needed someone to help me. I went online and found two names I thought could help--both from Angie's List. I also found a news item about All Aspects Waterproofing that had very high compliments for their workmanship. I called the first firm and had a very polite and professional rep come and talk with me. He was very interested in giving me detail info on how water comes into basements and detailed info on the construction of houses. It became too much of a lecture and he was not happy to have an interactive conversation. I wanted a more informal explanation of what was occurring and let me decide the extent of science that I wanted to know. The outcome was taking measurements showing samples of materials to be used how long the job would be etc. In all a very complete estimate except the cost. I never heard from him again. All Aspects rep came out and the exchange of information was thorough and all the details were given to my satisfaction. I have no idea whether the estimate was too high or average but once the job began it seemed reasonable-- perhaps. It does prove the need to talk to several firms but quite frankly one never really knows whether the job is being oversold or correctly done. But I believe this company was highly satisfactory in getting right to work, keeping the area clean having very pleasant people to talk to and to provide any further explanations I needed and resolving issues to my satisfaction. All in all I would highly recommend them for this kind of service. We agreed to some adjustment to the fee charged when getting a county permit. If there is one thing I would have liked is to have had the bill show more breakdown of charges. I had asked if there was a senior discount and/or an Angie List discount. No, to the senior but yes to Angie List but it did not appear on my final bill. I personally prefer not to have to negotiate discounts but the times when it is offered to me or added to an estimate is Very Appreciated. An additional estimate to do all the rest of the walls was given for over $2000.00. The warranty is transferable to a buyer of my house. I cleaned my basement for a four foot path work area was available. This seemed to appreciated by the workmen. A French drain was created inside my basement on all exterior walls. This involved creating a trench a foot or so deep putting in a pipe, gravel and covering with cement. A large plastic container was embedded which houses the pump. Two window wells had pipes installed to handle the water from there. The pipe to expell the water from the pump was neatly constructed and negotiated as the best solution. Someone will be returning to replace a very heavy sink and to hook it up. The walls that have the drain has a waffle-like plastic material affixed and plastic sheeting is glued in places up to the ceiling. My basement will remained unfinished so this sheeting will prove satisfactory in doing its job even though the walls are not drywalled.

Description of Work: Jeffery came over to check out my drainage concern. I was amazed by his knowledge as well as his concern. Looks like we had more of an issue than what we thought we had. Thanks to Jeff we will not be taken advantage by the other estimates we had previously received. Highest estimates we had received was 7,000 for a problem that would not be corrected unless the city was involved. I would use this company again. Seems like there are honest people in the world after all.

Description of Work: All Aspect Waterproofing is a really solid company to work with. I liked who I talked to schedule the call. The senior inspector Jeff Basham who came out to meet with us is just great to work with. He went over the entire basement area, determined what the problem was, and then we sat down and discussed what the problem was and what is what not (ie water coming from above versus water from below).... We ended up with an interior French drain. It took two days of work. The team of four that they sent out was very hard working. They came at 8 am and they worked the whole day tirelessly. The head foreman Lionel is excellent. He knows his stuff and was happy to explain what they were doing. And did I say already they worked tirelessly? We got a visit from a senior inspector during the work in process and it was just an additional layer of professionalism that I enjoyed. We got information about how the job was progressing, whether we might need a dehumidifier; running a dedicated sump pump line, what kind of interior flooring might suit best - the small details that are important. Naturally the biggest decision is that you go with the right company for the job and they assess the problem correctly. I feel we did that. We had a couple of other bids - from other companies. All Aspects was just slightly higher but we went with it because of the way Jeff Basham defined the scope of work, went through guarantees. He also was great in answering questions by phone - before the job started and allaying any concerns I had over the job.

Description of Work: All Aspects Waterproofing gave us a really good estimate. They came out and did a thorough inspection of the property. They had a book of pictures and drawings to sort of explain what the issues were and what they were going to do to fix it. At the end of it, they gave us a written estimate with a detailed report on what exactly they were going to do. We were looking to have drainage to prevent the basement from flooding.

Description of Work: We called this company (after finding them on Angie List) when we found that our attempted repairs/caulking/regrading did not keep water from entering our basement from one area in the concrete wall of our basement. A very knowledgeable gentleman (Zeeker) came and spent a great deal of time explaining our options, as well as explaining how we could try to correct the problem on our own. He was very helpful and even looked at our sump pump.

Description of Work: Re-reconnected a sump pump battery system and added a necessary valve to our existing sump pump drain pipe. He also performed an inspection of our crawl-space for mold and water damage.

Description of Work: Estimate only. Robert visited my house to provide an estimate on fixing several leaking areas of my basement ceiling. All Aspects Waterproofing was not able to provide an estimate because they only do below-grade waterproofing work, while my ceiling leaks were due to above-grade issues.
