I arrived at Wrenchmasters and was getting set to catch a bus to the subway as I just figured they would need to keep the car.
I was asked if I could hold on as one car was on the was out the door mine was pulled in and hook up to a to a reader.
Long story short a belt tensioner and tightening and cleaning the connectors and I was on the way. These folk repair where any more most shop replace parts until they get it right. They should be mentioned on Car Talk.

They are always very timely, they do a good job and they don't overcharge. They are usually very cheap. They fit me in to their schedule and I called them and they got me in the next day. It is a small mom and pop shop.

I have been a customer of Wrench Master and Tom for almost 10 years. I'm averse to dealerships so I've brought them every car we've owned in that time.
Lately, I've noticed his service charges and quot;escalatingand quot;. I just paid $96 in labor to change a thermostat as well as $36 in parts.
If it took an hour to change the thermostat he would have been working pretty slow. I can't afford an hourly labor rate of $100 and will be seeking another garage to maintain our two cars.

Took the car to get a second opinion and Tom laughed at what the previous car mechanic told us. He didn’t charge us a penny. We were originally told that we needed to replace the alternator and he told us there was nothing wrong with it in the 1st place and it was just the battery. We appreciate his honesty.

Tom and John spent a lot of time with the car and took time to point out issues that need to be watched, be assured they get to do the watching. For 20 years and some this has been the GO TO shop for repair and advice. I followed them from Arlington to Rockville they respect and loyalty is earned. Do yourself and your car the honor, value and honesty live here!

I have since bought new cars with dealer warranties, so I take my vehicles there. I've had excellent experiences with them, however.

I was recommended to use Wrench Masters and would definitely recommend them to anyone. They have extensive experience working on Volvos, and they are honest and punctual in their estimates and repairs.

After paying almost $800 for the last service on my Volvo and over $1,000 for the last service on my Kia at dealerships, I used Angie's List to search for independent shops and came upon Wrenchmasters. Not only did they do quality work for two-thirds less than the dealers, but there is one story that exemplifies their service. After checking out a check engine light on my Kia and clearing the code from the system, the light came back on. Wrenchmasters brought the car back in, checked the same mysterious code, did additional testing, and replaced an emissions hose. They called to tell me that they had done everything that they could think of, but since they weren't 100 percent sure that their fix would work, they refused to take any payment. The light hasn't come on since, both cars are working perfectly, and I intend to bring all of my work to them in the future.

My experience with them has been excellent. They do good work. They charge lesser than the others. They are quite clear in explaining what they are doing.

I was in and out of that place and I didn't even have to make an appointment. They took my car in, showed me what was wrong and fixed it in less than an hour. I even drive 45 minutes because of their excellent service and they provide the cheapest solutions for used parts.
