My wife and I purchased a patio table and 6 chairs in late April 2013. We paid in full at that time with the understanding that some additional chairs needed to arrive the following Wednesday. After waiting a week my wife called the store to inquire the status of our order. We were informed that the table and chairs were now back ordered until the first week in June. The saleswoman informs my wife that we could take the floor model and chairs if we want. We went to the store and looked at the floor model. At that time we ask about just receiving a refund. We are then told that they do not do refunds but we can get a store credit. We decided to wait and see if they can actually deliver this furniture. The last week in May I call the store again to check on the status. The saleswoman informs me it is "truck day" and that she cannot take my call now. Someone will call me back. No one calls me back. I call on Friday of the first week in June, when the furniture is supposed to arrive. I am informed that it was supposed to come in. They "hope" it will come in next week. I call Friday next week. Still no furniture. Once again, they "hope" it will come in next week. I have no hope I will ever see this furniture. So what are the problems? First, no one from the Rockville store has ever called us to inform us they have missed their delivery date. To date they have missed 3 dates. Second, how can a store charge you for in full for a back-ordered product and then claim you can only give store credit? We have ordered furniture from a variety of places and have only been charged when the item is ready to ship or has actually shipped. My recommendation is not to shop at this store. The prices are high, the customer service is sub-par, and their policies are very anti-consumer.
