I started getting quotes on inspecting & replacing my sump pump weeks ago. It was running but didnt seem to be draining. Got a couple estimates from bigger names and took a chance for one more from Mar-Tin Plumbing & Drain, LLC. I'm glad I did. He arrived early and was responsive to all my calls and messages. He looked at the sump pump and knew immediately it wasn't emptying correctly and quoted a very reasonable price for a new pump and installation. He had all the materials in his truck and got to work immediately within 10 minutes. While replacing the pump he brought up that the drain pipe just ran randomly into the ground with no clear endpoint with no idea how far or where it was emptying. I was going to mention to this him but he brought it up first. He said he would check it (as it wasn't really supposed to be like that) and given the age of the house its possible the sump pump failing and not working efficiently arose because the drain terminating like that could lead to blockage. Suffice to say he was correct and showed me how the drain was obstructed and the flow of water was being reversed. He explained to me in detail why I should have the drain piping redone but didn't push. He quoted me a separate quote on him redoing the drain pipe so it drained correctly and farther away from the house. It was also a very reasonable price compared to what others had given me for the same issue. He said if I didnt want to do it today to think on it and call him and he would come back out. No pressure. I decided save myself the trouble and asked him to do the additional work. All in all it took him about a little under 3 hours and he was fast efficient and communicated before, during, and after everything was completed. He even explained how the various drains in the basement and exterior stairwell worked together and informed me that I should clean out all the debris that had gathered before the amount of rain this weekend and also gave advice on what type of flooring we should redo our basement with. Excellent work and customer service, I'm glad to have found a local plumbing company I can support that offers such quality work.

This was the worst experience I have ever had with a plumber. After five hours and consultation with another plumbing company by this plumber, he gave up. The kitchen drain was still blocked, cabinets were splattered with black gunk, one of my toilets had been removed for no reason, my bathroom was a mess with black splatters everywhere, a bolt cover was missing, amateur recaulking of toilet (I could do better), etc., etc. He then told me to call Roto-rooter whose technician identified the problem in a few minutes and cleared the clog. BTW, the clog was exactly where I had previously suggested it was. I am still cleaning up today.

We had a clog in the pipes that were in the wall (so we couldnâ t do anything ourselves) and Tin had all the equipment to finish the job quickly and thoroughly. The process was easy and he made sure I checked everything before leaving.

He arrived promptly, explained the process well and performed the service swiftly. There was a hiccup in the delivery of the service and he explained how it could be rectified. I would definitely consider hiring him in the future.

It is a Saturday, Tin response my request quickly. He did a great job to replace my over 10 years old sum pump. Now I do not need to worry my sum pump stop working and flooding my basement. Thanks Tin!

Hliang said he would give me free estimate to unclog my kitchen drain. After he came to my home he quoted $375. When I asked how much I have to pay if he is unable to fix it he initially said $75 but when I did not accept he said $15. He was unable to fix it after working for about 2 hours. He snaked only 20 feet. He told me I had to replace a big pipe in the basement for another $300. He became agitated when I asked him how he knows that will fix the problem. I did not agree and said I will pay him only the $15. He did not even agree to do the job for $500. I paid him $75 because I felt bad paying him only $15. He told me to call me back tomorrow morning to replace the pipe. 2 other plumbers I later called gave me an estimate of $195. Durance plumbing came to my home and snaked 35 feet which fixed the problem. He worked for about an hour. There was no need to replace the pipe. It was only $195! Either Hliang is an incompetent plumber or tried to scam me. I will never use his services again.
