My orthodontist recommended Dr. Callahan to me, and it was the best recommendation I have ever had.  At the first appointment, she had a consultation with me while a staff member took notes:  Why was I looking for another dentist?  Did I have any special needs...  Now, I have been going to her for several years and would never go anywhere else.  First, she is professional.  She keeps up with the literature, knows all the latest developments in dentistry, and takes her job seriously.  She has the latest, fastest, pain-free equipment.  Then, her dental hygienist is very highly qualified and skillful.  She tells me where I need to brush better, what kinds of floss or toothpaste or small brushes to use... Nothing gets by them.  If there is a problem, they find it.  And also this.  They are good communicators.  When I needed a crown, they took a long time to ascertain the correct color.  If I need an x-ray, they are sensitive to my wish to postpone it if I have had other recent x-rays.  I am slowly switching my whole family over to her office.

Dr Callahan has been my dentist for a few years now and I think she is wonderful. I actually found her on Angie's list and have been extremely happy with her. For years I looked for a dentist that was competent and trust-worthy, and finally I found Dr Callahan. She has taken great care of me and my family. I have had a history of dental problems and finally I have a dentist I can count on. She is very professional but also compassionate. I strongly recommend her.

Office was great.  Efficient, friendly.  Dr. Callahan met privately with me to review history then exam.  Very professional and knowledgeable.  I returned for follow up

I'm a long term patient - like 18 years. Dr. Callahan is a very good dentist and a nice person, too. I have been very satisfied with her practice. Great staff, excellent environment, nothing not to like. I would definitely recommend her.

Care is always thorough and professional.  I never feel rushed if I have any concerns to discuss.

Outstanding job! Dr. Callahan was very professional, and explained the potential outcomes to me. She was concerned the existing damage to the tooth may require more than a replacement filling, such as a crown or root canal. So far, the replacement filling alone has been successful, and I'm following up shortly. I am very impressed with Dr. Callahan and her entire team (in addition to the quality of the work)!

Dr. Callahan runs a very nice office - I started seeing her in 1996 and have stayed with her even after moving 25 miles away.  Great touch, thorough, good hygienists.  She's very professional, watches for problems while they're still minor, and communicates well.  I can't think of any reason to change to someone else.  Top notch dentist.

She is the best. I’ve been going to her for over 10 years. She is my only dentist and it will remain that way.

Dr Callahan and Dr Thomas did excellent work in replacing the filling and fixing the damaged tooth.  They also fixed another old filling that was cracked.  The doctors and their staff were very professional, friendly, and punctual.  They numbed the area well and did a great job with the new filling.  I would highly recommend them.

I never had any major problems with her. I had to switch because she stopped taking insurance. She was a  splendid person.

Dr. Callahan is an excellent doctor. She is very personable and really demonstrates a strong knowledge of dentistry. It is a very inviting atmosphere. The staff is very caring and pleasant.

My family and I relocated to Rockville in the past year and I learned about Dr. Callahan on Angie's list.   This was my first visit to the dentist.   The entire experience was outstanding.   From checking in with the front desk, to the actual cleaning and talking with Dr. Callahan. I found everyone to be friendly and professional.  I can easily recommend Dr. Callahan's practice for anyone.

Dr. Callahan was the third dentist who provided dental care for me over my 3 year residency in the DC Metro area.  The first two were basically competent.  But one dentist seemed bewildered by the complexity of my dental needs and the second was overly eager to sell products such as electric toothbrushes and his waiting room air quality was compromised by a plug-in deodorizer which provoked asthma attacks.  He also repeatedly advised procedures which were not aligned with the recommendations of my current oral surgeon.
Dr. Callahan handled my complex problems professionally and thoroughly. She consulted frequently with my oral surgeon about problem resolution and best practices.  Her assistant was always concerned for my comfort and was gently thorough.  As a bonus, the assistant has a warm and friendly personality.
There was always a concern that anything that didn't feel exactly right should be tweaked.  There was never pressure to have unnecessary X-rays or to buy extraneous products.
She was not in my insurance network but I chose to go there anyway which says a lot in itself.
I saw the other dentist in this practice, Dr. Thompson, I believe, once when I was having problems.  She was also very competent and professional.

I have been a patient of Dr. Thomas' for about a year now. She is thorough with her exams, explains in detail short and long term recommendations, gentle and personable.
From the minute you walk in the office you are greeted with a smile and a hello. The receptionist as well as the assistants are all very friendly. The office is very clean and high tech.
I am so grateful to have found Dr. Thomas and would recommend her to even the most "dentist phobe" friend.

I had a dental exam by Dr. Callahan and some follow-updental work by Dr. Thomas.  Both were very good.  They were punctual and skilled.  They have modern equipment and they used a new kind of filling that is not metal.  It is a white plastic or ceramic that is supposed to bond to the tooth.  This dental practice does not file my insurance claims for me, but that's okay.  I can do it myself.
