The plumber was very professional, explained everything. I would definitely use this plumber in the future. He left a very favorable impression.
As a first time Angie's list user I was a bit skeptical of the site and whether it would yield a decent experience. Several neighbors had shared horror stories of outrageous costs by calling up someone on just a google search. My last provider, Culligan, was ok, but not as local as I might like so I thought it was time for a second opinion.
Doug came out from Liberty Pure and it was like inviting your neighbor into your home. He was professional, super clean, courteous and just about every adjective you'd want in a service provider coming into your home. My Big Blue filter had begun leaking for the first time in 5 years and my water PH seemed high. Doug ID'd the problem pretty quickly as a faulty O ring that had been stretched and lost seal. As I know next to nothing about plumbing, he could have told me anything and I'd believe him. Instead a fix of less than a dollar was all it took. As for his quotes on the rest....can you believe he told me doing nothing might be the best bet? WHO SAYS THAT?? THANKS DOUG!! His quotes for options were about 20% or more less than some of the others but he said it might not be worth it as we were on the border of needing and not/needing a softener.
The company scheduled a water test for bacteria at my request as I had not done one in a while but was careful to add that it was independent so that they would not skew the results.
If you need a plumber or water treatment pro, call these guys! They have made me a customer for life and I'll be using them for all my maintenance needs from now on. They are complete professionals who respect the customer and do the right thing.
The gentleman was very professional and right on time.
He explained what needed to be done and completed the replacement.
I found this provider through "The deal of the day"...so glad I did!
I showed them the heater and one of them hooked a hose to it and took the other end to the outside.
The other person in the meantime asked me to take him around the house for inspection of plumbing.
This inspection didn't take more than 5-10 minutes!!. All he did was put a hand near the supply hoses, turned on the faucets and the comprehensive plumbing inspection is done- whoa. Is that really comprehensive Angie?????
In the meantime the other person comes and states he's all done with job. I am thinking ...huh.. that was pretty fast.
Last time i drained my water heater, it took me over an hour to drain and he did in 10minutes or so.
So i check the water heater and boy the tank is FULL. I walk outside and there is no water- 50 gallons of water just disappeared in 10 minutes!!
So i asked told them this is not a drain and flush. Then he said that we just open the safety valve/ or some pressure valves- let the air out and some water and its done. Because as per him if the heater is drained completely and flushed, it can damage from inside and cause a leak.
I am wondering, if that's the case why would the manufacturer give you step by step instructions to drain the heater in their manual.
And i told him that the manufacturer recommends that the water be drained every 6 months, per the manual.
Obviously that was a tongue-tied moment and he asked me to sign a waiver that if anything goes wrong, its not their fault.
i signed it reluctantly- but really- you charge for a service and then if you screw my water heater, i can't blame you!!! Wow thats a win-win. And for me its a total loss!!
I am really disappointed in this- when some people think they can take others for a ride.
And why would this waiver NOT be a part of the disclosure when the coupon is being bought? Thats clearly misrepresentation to the customer.
I pay for the coupon online- The guy comes for a sham comprehensive inspection and when i ask him to do what he is supposed to be really doing, he takes out this paper of waiver. I understand he wants to protect himself, but then this should be in big bold letters at the time of purchase. This is clearly misrepresentation.
also half the things were not done- like testing water pressure- but how?? He didn't have a gauge!! So by looking we can tell how much is the pressure.
I would ask all my fellow customers to beware of this company and if you have been scammed, please report it.
I would ask Angie's list to be more careful of associating with such ppl- its not only their reputation but Angie'S list also loses credibility.
I would want a full refund give to me.
PER THE DEAL THIS IS WHAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE DONE AND ABOVE IS WHAT WAS ACTUALLY DONE-

"1.3 hours spent with this customer, drained and flushed WH initally during plumbing inspection then again with customer watching (he felt it went too quickly). We invested about 20 minuets chasing a "knocking noise" in wall, and prepared an estimate to install 4-5 faucets (yes this is not included). varified all supply lines faucets and drains were not leaking (visually and yes we reached up and made sure no moisture). GPS tracking indicated on site for 1.4 hours? delighted to refund this customer in full as he is not fully satisfied with service."
We are so happy that we choose to take advantage of this "Angie's Big Deal"....we feel confident that our plumbing inspection helped us to understand what we may need to do in the future and that currently everything is up and running!
Upon checking Angies List and contacting Liberty Pure Solutions, Inc, Mike and Doug arrived promptly and replaced the well system with a new water pressure tank with stainless steel fittings, pressure control, pressure valve and pressure meter.
Being new to well water and water softner I had no idea about the water softner beside putting salt in the one container. Mike and Doug explained the process of the water softner, inspected the unit, test the water and serviced the water softner finding that it has almost no neutralizer.
I highly recommend and will use Liberty Pure Solutions Inc. again.
with chemical and water, serviced our existing pulsate pump and checked out our existing softener and made sure they
were filled to the proper level, checked water to make sure system doing its job. Removed old R/O under sink and
installed new R/O in basement which is great (more room under sink!). This system has a small pump which distributes
water through multiple filters and can't believe the increased water pressure (our other R/O was a "trickle"). I am a
strong believer in R/O filtered drinking water. It's the only way to go for safe drinking water! The faucet for the sink
was installed and had to redo a portion of our copper pipe (unexpected but no extra charge). Thankful to get rid of
"drippy" faucet! They will be back to check on system to make sure it is functioning correctly.
Experience with all personnel was good from owner, Doug, to office personnel, to plumbers who did the work. They
will be servicing our equipment in the future as necessary,
