Worldwide Waterproofing & Foundation Repair

Company was very professional.  It did not give us the lowest estimate.  We selected them because of the crew's experience and we were not disappointed.  They broke up the perimeter of the floor in the room where the pump went in.  They used jackhammers.  It was disconcerting to hear them in use in the basement of the house.  They then installed the piping to channel the water to the pump, which was placed in a corner of the room. They then re-concreted the area that they broke up.  They used all kinds of plastic sheeting to protect the  basement and prevent the dust from the breakup of the floor from getting all over the house.  They returned a couple of days later to hook up the water pipes from the utility sink  and the washer and dryer.  They returned when we complained that the utility sink was not properly hooked up.  I was very happy indeed with all their work and with their attention to my requests.  I highly recommend them. 
The only reason I gave any "B"s and not all "A's is because we have not had enough rain to really test the system.

I called Worldwide last week for an estimate. I had 2 others companies in prior. I did not like feeling like I was being "SOLD" something. The other company gave me one price and then lowered it if I could arrange my schedule for the next business day. I did not appreciate it at all. When Wayne with Worldwide came in , he was up front and honest. He gave me one great price and allowed me ample time to arrange my schedule. The crew was great!!! A nice group of young gentlement who clearly have been doing this type of work for some time. They all worked so well together which is pretty unusual. Wayne stopped out and spent a few hours while they were here just making sure all items that we discussed and had in contract were addressed. They even found a few cracks in my wall when the drywall was removed and did not charge me anything extra. I feel like I made a good decision getting other estimates and choosing from the BEST!! My basement is cleaner now then when they started. They even took the time to hose off my street and entire paved driveway from some of the mud that was taken out of my basement floor. I am truly impressed overall !

Everything was done professionally from the salesman, structural engineer and the team that performed the work. The work was started on the agreed time and the county inspection was on time. Once completed the team cleaned up and reseeded the yard leaving the yard as they found it. The team was respectful and very pleasant to deal with.

We have a 1970's block home that has taken in water during heavy rains for so many years . After complete exhaustion from bailing water at 3 am,we decided it was time to have a professional evaluate our problem. We received quotes from 3 Angie's List rated contractors. Worldwide was the only contractor that was able to look at our home and determine there was not footing present. After we received this price that seemed high, even though we really liked them we decided to get a second opinion. No other contractors even brought up the fact about the footing. Once we mentioned it they ball parked the job over 20,000.00. We then called Worldwide back who came back with a Structural Engineer and a crew to do a test excavation of our floor without us even being under contract. It was in fact found that a footer was no present so underpinning work would be needed. Our contract was drawn up and work was started right away. The rep was so informative and the crew was superb. We were given a very reasonable price and the job went perfect. Even the inspection offices from the County complimented on the perfection and neatness of the work that was done. We have only had one or two mild rains but so far there is no sign of any seepage or dampness in our home. The crew cleaned up so well you cant even tell they were here to begin with. The company issued a Tech out each day to check progress, answer questions we may have had and take photos. We were SO impressed with the quality and timeliness of this whole project. We even had their concrete division put in a new sidewalk after the basement work was completed. The whole experience with world wide was TOP NOTCH! We would highly recommend using this firm and will be happy to refer them to people in need of the same work. Thanks again to the Worldwide Staff!!!

It was a very positive experience.

My one problem was that they were supposed to have some sort of exhaust system for me and they didn't so I had concrete dust all over my house. They were really nice and they were willing to come in on the weekends so I did not have to take off work.

A crack in our cement basement wall was discovered during a pre-sale home inspection. I needed to get this fixed very quickly and called Worldwide Waterproofing on a weekend. They answered promptly (another 'A-rated' company didn't answer), came out within just a few days and had this problem fixed very quickly. They were very professional and courteous. It is difficult for me to give a reliable critique about the price because I didn't have time to comparison shop, but I would definitely use them again.

From contract to construction took almost a month due to unusually wet weather.  Once construction began, the job was done in a matter of days.   However, it took several weeks and many phone calls to fix problems with the railings and drainage, but the problems were fixed and I am totally happy with the results.

Awesome company.  After a heavy downpour caused my egress window to fill up like a fish bowl, I called these guys and feared the worst.  In a tough economy, I fully expected them to attempt to sell me some type of overkill solution.  Ken Seidelman met me at my house after normal business hours, opened with a compliment of my home (always a nice start), and then thoroughly inspected the window.  He told me not to panic and suggested an easy do-it-yourself solution.  He even recommended some tree trimming and gutter upgrades (2 services his company does not do - so he wouldn't make a dime).  I was pleasantly surprised with his honesty and integrity.  I will be taking his advice - he obviously knew his stuff!  Hopefully I will never need his services again, but I would not hesitate to use them if I do!  A+++++

We had a rental property that flooded during a heavy rain. This promoted us to call several waterproofing firms to look at our home. After several estimates, Worldwide not being the bottom price we decided based on professionalism, knowledge and their outstanding BBB record that we would use Worldwide for the repairs. We had an outstanding experience. Since we had basement tenants, they went above and beyond to cover all belongings, use a hepa machine for the control of dust and walked us through the entire job. Since the basement was finished they had to pull back carpeting and covered it so it would be damaged by the new cement being laid. After the job was done and the concrete dried, we had minor clean up and you could not tell this basement had been torn up with all the digging that had occurred. The owner of Worldwide was out for both days while the work was being performed. We are very happy customers and would proudly use Worldwide Waterproofing again in the future.

Overall my experience with this contractor was mixed. My wife and I had a good experience with the person who conducted the free estimate but we had problems when the contractor came on sight to complete the repair. Worldwide was responsive in completing the free estimate for the work. Someone came to our home the Monday after Thanksgiving at 7:30 p.m. The gentleman was professional and provided a clear description of the problem and potential solutions (while simultaneously trying to up-sell us on obtaining a new drainage system for the basement). The gentlemen provided us with an estimate for the repair; however, there was a complete lack of transparency with respect to how the estimate was generated. To this day I am unclear what was for parts, labor, etc. or whether we paid a fair price. Unfortunately we were under time constraints and did not have the time to shop around. The day of the repair did not go smoothly. The contractor arrived 2-3 hours late and I was lied to by a customer service representative on the phone. When I called a half hour after the appointment time I was told the contractor was caught in traffic and that he would be at my house in another hour or so. When I called back an hour and half later I talked to another representative who told me the contractor had just left another work site and would arrive in 20 minutes. The contractor eventually arrived about 30 minutes after that call. Additionally, while the repair itself seems to have gone well the contractor did not allocate enough time to finish the job and subsequently required a second visit. Overall, I think the quality of work from this group is satisfactory but the professionalism left something to be desired.

They explained to us what was happening and told us what they were going to do. They took the time to let us know what they were doing. They did a good job and we haven't had any leaks since. It took about 4 or 5 days for the job to be completed and they did a good job cleaning up.

Horror Story. The Drain was installed very well and fairly quickly, no real complaints on the work. The problem was that they broke our basement window since they needed to use it to pour material in as we did not have an access door. Then we had intentionally put some valuable items in our kitchen pantry before the work started since we knew we would be in and out and they would be there from sun up to sun down. One moment our brand new video camera was there and the next it was gone. I called the company to complain about both and did not get a call back about either the window or the camera. I could understand them not responding to the video camera, since I had no proof but I know some one took it during the time they worked at our house. The window was never addressed either. I wrote a letter to the salesman about both issues and left it with him that if he did not respond that this means that this is just how they do business and supplement their income. No response ever.

THE COMPANY WAS UNPROFESSIONAL. I TALKED TO TWO DIFFERENT INDIVIDUALS AND THE SECOND PERSON WAS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND IMMATURE. MY WATER WAS LEFT OFF OVER THE ENTIRE WEEKEND AND I WAS VERY UNHAPPY WITH THE SERVICE. THEY DID COMPLETE THE WATERPROOFING.
