On the positive side, the person answering the phone was polite and the crew arrived promptly for their appointment on the scheduled day. They cleaned up the area before they left with no debris left behind. Also I was impressed that took payment by check and did the work before they even received the check. I gave them an A for Quality and Overall based more on trust and their track record than having actually seen the results. They were due A's for Price, Puctuality, Responsiveness, and Professionalism. I will use them again at least one more time because I'd like to have a company that I can trust to clean my gutters 3 times a year and send me pictures to provide a look the state of the my gutters when they finish. Also, I think it says something about them that they did the work before they received my check.

The guys arrived and were extremely professional. They took before and after pictures and identified/took pictures of the fact I had shingles missing. It was a pleasure using this company.

I was scheduled to have the gutters cleaned 11/26, but early Sunday morning (11/24), I noticed a large piece of siding had been torn off due to heavy wind the night before and an even larger section was getting ready to come down. Nick had reinforced another section of siding a few years ago that's still holding up to this day. Worried about exposure to heavy rain forecasted, I emailed him at 7:00 Sunday morning asking if he could help. Less than half an hour later Nick was up on a ladder, had already nailed the piece of siding back up and then reinforced the section getting ready to come down. Why is this worth a review? It was well below freezing that morning and with no fanfare, he just showed up and took care of it. He also never asked for payment and only accepted half of what I offered to pay for this emergency. The gutters were cleaned today and as usual, that was done professionally and on schedule. I'm pretty sure no one else would have shown up on a freezing Sunday morning right before Thanksgiving, much less completed the work at that cost. That is priceless and the reason I will only use Nick Rivers Gutters as long as they're in business.

Smooth, very smooth. No need to hang around - work was all exterior. The workers arrived when the company said they would. My spam filter caught the link to the photos, so I did not see them at first.

cleaned gutters .third level is over 30 feet above ground so we couldnt reach them and were suspicious that other companies we had used before (when we werent home) did not actually do the work. The fact that this company uses photos to show the work that was completed was why we called them in the first place. They hammered in some of the gutters that had come loose. Their honesty about condition of gutters and facia board without pressuring us to immediately replace is why we will continue to use them. Very pleased with the integrity of this business.

I loved that they sent before and after pictures. It was like they could prove they actually cleaned your gutters. This is a nice perk especially if you aren't going to be home. I would like the cost to be a little less since it took them a total of 15 minutes....

I have been using Nick Rivers for a while now, so it may be and quot;easierand quot; for me as a known customer, but a gutter cleaning goes as follows: I email or call them. If I get a person, we set a date together. If I get sent to voicemail, I leave a message about possible dates for a cleaning and a phone number. They call me back and either leave a message with a date or let me know when to call and we arrange a date. That day comes and I arrive home to clean gutters, an invoice in my door, some bags in the garbage, and an email in my inbox with before and after pictures. I send a check from my online bill pay and all is done! I suspect I could get a less and quot;expensiveand quot; service if I shopped around, followed the deals, or clipped coupons... but Nick Rivers is reliable and convenient, so I keep calling them instead.

He showed up on time on the rescheduled date (his secretary gave us the wrong day at first and then rescheduled). He did a great job cleaning the gutters and then sent us pictures of our gutters, the cleaning process, and the finished product. We will definitely use him again!

I'm a first time customer that found Nick Rivers Gutters via Angies List. I called them on Monday to obtain pricing and I decided to schedule an appointment for Wednesday. They arrived at my house first thing in the morning and performed the services as advertised. Nick and his staff were very friendly and professional throughout the process. Before and after photos were delivered to my email before the end of the day. Nick also advised me of some minor issues going on with my roof which I was previously aware of. He took pictures of the issue which were included with my before/after photos, and took a few minutes of his time to make a minor adjustment to buy me some time at no extra charge. While he told me he could do the work on his own and offered a quote on this work, he advised that I take my time and shop around with other contractors. His honest, candid, but friendly way of doing business is very appreciated and I am happy to report that I will recommend him to friends and use his services again in the future.

I chose this company because of their policy of sending before and after photos - otherwise, its hard to know whether anything was done. I'm sure that the gutters got cleaned, because the service provider spent a lot of time here, and wet leaves had been removed from the gutter, but I never received the photos. The provider did do a great job of cleaning up afterwards. I didn't rate the quality because without the photos, this was hard to assess.

I called and left a message for the company on Friday 7/5/13. I received a call back that same day. I spoke with their receptionist and received a quote to clean 2 gutters of $95.00. The earliest day they could provide service was 7/11/13. So we scheduled it for that date and was told that they would be here today at any point throughout the day. I just called @ 4pm because at this point no one had shown up. come to find out from the same receptionists spoke to the week prior; that she had cancelled my appointment without notice. The next available date was Tuesday of next week which at this point is unacceptable considering that it should have happened today. You would at least thing that they would have tried and made it happen within the next 2 days for lack of performance and follow through. I thought that with all the good reviews that this company would be a welcomed experience. Seems that the are very unorganized and may need some continued coaching of their office staff.

They were very responsive, reasonably priced, on time and did a great job.

We picked the hottest day of the year for the installation. Nick and his crew worked in extreme heat to do a super job removing the old gutters which were screwed on in places, nailed on in others and just difficult in general to remove. The installation was of course done in a very professional manner during the hottest part of the day and looks great!! He used more hangers than were necessary to give the gutters more strength. I would recommend Nick Rivers Gutters very highly.

Upon arrival the two person crew had time to try to sell me gutter covers but not time to walk around my house with me to note any issues or ask any questions about cleaning the gutters. So they had to knock and interrupt me getting my kids ready for school several times to ask one question each time (including asking how to turn on the hose reel that they had brought with them). When I returned after taking my kids to school, I found my hoses left unrolled in my yard (not how they found them), rusty nails on my front and back porch (apparently from the gutters), debris in my yard and at the bottom of the downspout, but not a bag of debris for my inspection. When I e-mailed my concerns, prior to posting this review, I was told that crew had started working for them only a few days before because of personnel issues (which could happen to anyone), that they had 36 houses to service that day because of storms forecast for later that week, and that the quality issues were my responsibility because I have solar panels on the roof and a shade sail over my back porch (which I removed within two minutes of being asked to do so). I responded to suggest they raise their prices in order to more effectively hire, retain, and train their staff. A few days later while mowing my lawn I found another pile of debris (with substantial materials left on the roof by the solar installers which apparently caused the blockage) dumped at the edge of the woods behind my home. I was furious, and e-mailed to request a 50% refund of the $175 fee. A week went by with no response, so I e-mailed again. Two more days, no response, so I called and left an angry voice mail. Here is there response: and quot;We received your email and voice message regarding the service we provided for you. We will not be bullied or blackmailed into giving you a refund or a partial refund. We performed a service for you and we have photos showing the gutters were cleaned. Your voice mail said that unless you get a refund you were going to post a bad review on Angie’s List. You requested $87.50 (half the job) and you would walk away or you would post this all over Angie's List. We consider this to be blackmail which is against the law. If you want to post a bad review on Angie’s list that is your choice and we will not pay you to “not” post a bad review. You will not be receiving a refund from us. Thank you Nick Rivers Guttersand quot; They did a great job getting the gutters clean. I did everything else, including showing them how to turn on their hose. I attempted to resolve my legitimate concerns without publicizing those concerns. Apparently this firm considers that against the law. It's your house. Do what you decide is best.
