I made an appointment with the owner. They came out the next day and cleaned out my gutters.

Service was prompt, friendly and complete. No high pressure sales at all. I did not feel that I was being "talked into" anything - quite the contrary. Also, the cleanup was outstanding. I highly recommend. All by itself this job has made it worth my while to join Angie's List.

We had a great experience with Nick River Gutters. I called, and Nick returned my call immediately. He was able to give me an estimate over the phone, and he scheduled our gutter cleaning immediately. Nick was able to squeeze us in the next day, and his crew did a great job. He sent us digital phots of the gutters before and after they were cleaned. And, I was so impressed that none of my flowers were damaged. I will definitely use them again. He also offered a great price.

I struggled with the rating. Overall the experience was excellent, once we got into their system and got started. When I initially called it had just rained extensively causing widespread issues due to water damage. I'm sure they were flooded (excuse the pun) with calls. Even though I left a message, my call was not returned. I called again, this time getting a person. An appointment was set up for an estimate. The estimate was left that had a couple of numbers on it but no actual price for the job. I called the office and talked to the receptionist. who said she would leave a message for Mr. Rivers. After a week, I called again. Again another message was left and I finally received my estimate by email. After that it was smooth sailing and the job was done. My husband had a question and asked that Mr. Rivers call him. The call was returned promptly and the work was scheduled and completed on time. The gutter job looks great. The crew was fast, efficient and cleaned up completely. The next day we even received photos showing the work done, because without a ladder, we can't see the installed leaf guard system. Oh, and the work was done for less than the estimate since guards were not installed in areas where they were not necessary. Saving money and great work made for an excellent experience. If you call and you have to call back a couple of times, hang in there, you will be rewarded!

I contacted Nick after receiving a prior estimate from a large do-it-all company who gave me, what I considered, an outrageously high estimate (four times what Nick charged for the same work). Nick sent someone out as well as himself later although they did not schedule the estimate with me so I never saw them but I own a small rancher with two straight sections of gutters so it is easy to estimate. Nick came out right after Hurricane Irene and was able to get the work done prior to tropical storm Lee. Took very little time to complete the work and he sent me pictures afterwards. One problem I was initially having was some water would run down between the gutter and fascia due to no drip edge. The next day after installation, the rain started from tropical storm Lee and I was still getting some water between the two (not as much as before) and Nick came out the same day I emailed him, IN THE RAIN, and fixed the problem. He and another worker were on my roof when I came home from work while it was raining. He explained what happened and was adding some flashing which fixed the problem and I had no problems all throughout tropical storm Lee. He even save me money by recommending a 5and quot; gutter over the 6and quot; gutter that I thought I needed which reduced the price. Thanks Nick!!

I cannot praise them enough.. Laura is the lovely person who took my call. I have a high pitched roof and they did a superb job. Even emailed me before and after pictures.I have called Laura already and asked her to call me in about 3 months so we can do it again.(house surrounded by many trees)

First off - a person answered my call! I described that I had a gutter pulling away from the house and needed it rplaced. Nick was in the area and came by that afternoon. He examined the gutter, telling me it needed to be attached better- more brackets. I did not need it replaced. He was able to correct the problem then and checked and cleaned all gutters for me. This was before all the rain What Great timing!. Excellent work! Worh every penny.

After Nick's inspection, he insisted on making a minor repair at no charge. In addition, I discussed ongoing leaks in my basement, and he made several suggestions as to what should be done to eliminate the problem. I had a contractor act on his suggestions, and an ongoing problem of many years duration was finally resolved. What impresses me the most about Nick, is his attention to detail and his general knowledge about gutters, downspouts and drainage. He is a craftsman in an age when few exist. The work of his company is vastly superior to that of the other three companies that I have tried previously. By furnishing photos to his client, Nick provides evidence that work has been performed properly. I am relieved that I finally have found a gutter maintenance contractor worthy of trust.

The technicians arrived in spite of the rain. They cleaned the gutters and fixed the down spouts that had been assembled incorrectly from a previous repair. They secured the gutters to the house. They were very pleasant. They took before and after pictures of my gutters and I had those pictures by the end of t he day. Great work guy's.

On 9/7/11 during heavy rains, my front gutter overflowed. I called the office to complain that perhaps this gutter was not cleaned on 8/25. Mr. Rivers sent digital photos showing all were cleaned and that hurricane Irene had blown through in the interim mostly likely depositing debris. Then, totally gratuitously and free of charge as a good will gesture, Mr. Rivers himself returned to my home on 9/8/11 and again cleaned the problem gutter. At this time, Mr. Rivers pointed out that the flow holes in my new gutters installed last year were only 2and quot; diameter, too small and inadequate for the existing larger 5and quot; downspouts. He strongly suggested I have those who installed the gutters, to correct this problem. I will recommend his services and call him again. We most definitely need to commend honest contractors such as Nick Rivers.

The person who takes the service calls is very pleasant. I was very pleased with how quickly my job was scheduled after I called them. The before/after pictures were very helpful. Jason listened and responded to my concerns about "waterfalls" going over the gutters. He attached metal "flashing" to those areas which should eliminate the waterfalls. I really appreciated the extra effort he took to solve the problem! They did a great job.

We noticed water overflowing over the gutter every time it rains so we figured it probably need a good cleaning. Calling Nick Rivers Gutters office and Thursday and able to set up an appointment for the following Monday. They were very polite over the phone and asked for an email address so that they can provide before/after picture. I wasn't able to be home that morning, but that's wasn't a problem. The crew came out for the cleaning and email me a picture afterward. We just did some landscaping over the weekend and can clearly see it in the picture (indicating they did stop by the house to complete the work). We just had a very heavy rain this past weekend and happy to report that no gutter overflow this time.

Nick rivers gutter service did an impeccable job cleaning our gutters on our two story home. We called on a Monday-the job was done that Wednesday and payment can be done by credit card. He even sent photos of every gutter before and after to show the spotless clean work. Highly recommended!

They did a great job and gave me feedback on my gutters without pressuring me to use them to do other work. I really appreciated their input and suggestions. I will definitely use them again.

It was great dealing with Nick. He gave me a quick estimate and actually advised me against additional work that I thought may be necessary. His solution to my problem was more economical and was completed quick and clean. The outcome looked great and is very functional. I would highly recommend them to everyone.

Gutters were sparkling clean when they finished which was a real job considering the small forest growing out of them. They promote their "before and after pictures" service. I was indifferent about the pictures until I saw the pictures. Oy, were my gutters a disaster. Best of all - no mess. They cleaned up the gutter gunk also. I did not have to be at home for them to do the work. With the coupon from Angies list, it was a great deal!

There is not much to tell. I emailed them on a Friday and they showed up as promised the next Wednesday. Their man did an excellent job at a fair price, left a bag of what had turned into compost from the gutter, and photographed the gutters before and after the job. He even relocated the screen from over the downspout that had been moved at some point. He also gave me a free estimate for some really reasonable gutter caps that they sell. I could probably have had the job done at a slightly lower price, but with this level of service, it's worth spending a few extra dollars. I would highly recommend Nick Rivers and his crew to anyone.

They did everything they said they would. They cleaned the gutter so they look like new, they did some minor repairs, and everything is now working great. The original estimate said $2596 to replace the gutters and downspouts, and they did the total repair/cleaning job for $285. How much more honest could they be? Unbelievable. I wish I could do my job as competently!

They came out quickly after being called for the repairs. They took before and after photos so that I could see what work they had done and cleaned up after themselves so that I did not have to deal with it. Overall, I was very happy with their service and plan on using them again next year for gutter cleaning. There was also a coupon available to use.

This was a fantastic experience. Nick gave me an estimate over the phone of $200.00 because of the difficulty he expected to encounter with my type of gutter. The job was scheduled within two days. The men arrived and started working right away. They told me there were no clogs on the front gutter and showed me exactly where the clogs were on the rear. They cleaned out the gutters, removed debris from my roof, and even cleaned three skylights and the 20 foot gutter on my shed -- not in my original scope of work. They cleaned off the dried on pollen that was clinging to the gutters. And, while they were working, Nick arrived, observed that the gutters were not the difficult type he envisioned, and reduced my fee by $75.00! And he gave me good advice on maintenance of my gutters. Can you imagine that! I wouldn't have known that they weren't the difficult gutters he envisioned and would have paid the full $200.00 estimate. Thank you, Nick! And thank you, Angie's List.

He was very prompt. He responded very quickly and finished all the work in one week. The good thing is that he took pictures so that we could see before and after how it looks. I would rate him high overall. His price was better than other people we contacted. I would use him again in the future.
