Dave the owner was very helpful. He took me thru my optionsi detail. He informed me of the new laws and how the air conditioners were changing. We decided to go with a new unit and he was very through in setting up times and expetations. HIs guys were professional and cleaned up after them self. Dave submitted the paperwork for my rebates and warranty. I would reccomend to anyone.

The workers were very good. The owner and the workers were here to work efficiently. They were friendly and showed me what they were doing so that I felt comfortable with what they were doing. Everything is wonderful. The system works very well. Our efficiency rating has moved from 80 percent to 97 percent. I've recommended them to neighbors.

It took a couple of visits, because the parts needed were hard to obtain, but ALCAP was responsive, timely, and worked hard to get the problem solved. They were courteous and checked back in to make sure everything was working.

Our house is nearly 20 years old and we are not really happy with the heating efficiency and very unhappy with the AC costs and effectiveness. We had heard about a federal tax credit program that was due to expire at the end of this year. We figured we probably we going to have to replace both our heat & AC within the next year or two anyway so taking advantage of the tax credit to help pay for it was worth checking out. We called Dave at Alcap, Inc., that we have happily used before, to get more information. Dave not only explained how to take advantage of the federal tax credit, but also how to take advantage of a regular rebate from BGE, a possible federal "Stimulus" rebate through BGE and manufacturers? rebates on both the heating and Air Conditioning units--in addition to a reasonable cost estimate. He also explained our expected annual utility savings by switching to High Efficiency units from the aging present units. These credits and rebates would give us back about 40% of our cost--in addition to the significant monthly utility bill savings, primarily in AC. Based on our previous experiences, we already had total trust in the integrity and workmanship of the Alcap, Inc. crew so the whole deal seemed like a winner. We scheduled the work to start the next week with the new units to be delivered by the manufacturer directly to our house before that. When Dave & crew arrived and started work, they noticed that the big AC unit had been damaged in transit and something else was missing. Although they were able to work on the heating unit, I appreciated the fact that they did not try to install the damaged equipment. It took a couple of days for the manufacturer to ship the new & missing units from a distant warehouse and for Dave's crew to finish the install. I did not downgrade my rating of Alcap, Inc for the delay because it was not their fault. However, now we are very pleased with the results--having had the need to use both the heat and AC since it was installed. Additionally, both Dave and York, the manufacturer, helped us file the appropriate paperwork for the BGE and York rebates--as well as information I will need for the tax credit when I file next year. In fact, I am today already depositing the York rebate check--just in time to help pay to replace our roof which suddenly developed major leaks a week ago, but that is another story.

Dave from Alcap was always responsive. He was diligent in figuring out the problem, even when the folks at Trane didn't seem to be able to do so. He came out to the house several times to check and make sure the repair was working and followed up with phone calls. He was courteous, professional, and always kept us informed of the status.

Our gas furnace did not light and therefore did not heat--and the weather was very chilly. We were able to take the edge off with our electric oven. Well into the evening we called and left a message on their voice mail. The next day the owner returned our call, made a tentative diagnosis and scheduled a repairman for the following day. When he came the next morning, he quickly and efficiently made the expected repair. We were delighted to have heat again!

THIS COMPANY WAS TIMELY IN THEIR SERVICE RESPONSE AND THE DIAGNOSIS OF THE PROBLEM. THEY WERE IN TUNE TO THE CONSEQUENCES OF NO HEAT WITH TWO KIDS AT HOME.
