We used this company for several large projects. While we were not unsatisfied with the work overall, there were major issues. These included timeliness/attendance (huge issue), communication, charges for work not completed, violation of agreement, materials ordering (not delivery/supply chain issues) incorrect measurements taken (by the contractor) that resulted in massive delays & demands for payment prior to completion of work. We found that the biggest issue was the contractor's inability to own any mistakes or even admit to any errors. This extended from everything to timelines, materials ordering, Spec issues for installation of kitchen appliances during kitchen remodel. He repeatedly stated that we supplied him with the wrong specs when my appliances were delivered and didn't fit the cabinets- even though I immediately printed him the email that I sent him 3 months prior (so he could order the cabinets) with the correct specs and showed him that I had sent the correct ones - he still refused to admit he somehow got them mixed up with another client (I suspect), and the result was that I had custom cabinets that he was literally cutting in my kitchen, trying to make them fit the around the refrigerator - because he ordered the cabinets according to another clients appliances. (this was eventually satisfactorily, resolved by his cutting th cabinets and, but still with no admission that he had made a huge error. We had a similar issue with our master bathroom remodel. What was supposed to take 20 days ended up taking 86 days. He charged us for a custom shower panel in March because he said it had to be paid for to order it. They started work on the bathroom June 6, and then in the middle of July he told me he went to order the custom panel and learned that the one I selected wasn't made anymore. My suspicion is that when I paid for it in March it was probably still able to be ordered but for some reason he took payment in March & didn't order it until almost 30 days after he started a bathroom that was supposed to take 20 days. Then he stated that the new panel would take 30 days, & exactly 30 days later - told us that it came in, but was cracked and had to be reordered. Another 30 days. When it finally arrived, he had measured incorrectly, & it was about 2 inches too long for the shower pan. Again, he blamed someone else, noting that the glass distributor didn't tell him about the trim on the panel. This resulted in his having to remove the trim around the shower pan and 'building it out to fit the panel). When he replaced the trim that he charged us $175 for that we later found out cost about $35, it was all damaged, scratched & instead of just replacing it with a new piece of trim he told me to fix it with a sharpie. After we paid him almost $40,000 to have him renovate this bathroom (that figure is almost entirely labor cost. We ordered all of the fixtures ourselves at his suggestion - which we found was his way out is having to ever fix anything as he repeatedly says he doesn't address probs with 'owner supplied materials' This apparently applies even when he damaged 5k worth of shower fixtures from Kohler. . There were things he said would be included in the contract vs extra charges, to things he said he would not charge for, and then did, and ridiculously- to even why he couldn't seem to work a full week. Or a full day for that matter. It got to the point where he was recycling excuses he had used prior and forgotten about I assume. The excuses offered were often ridiculous, & quite frankly insulting. We are still finding things that were broken, damaged or installed incorrectly that we were not notified about at the time, but that the contractor attempted to fix & camouflage without letting us know, & then proceeded to move on to other projects. This has been extremely annoying. Unfortunately- despite being mostly satisfied with the work on 4 of 5 projects (the final and most expensive was an absolute nightmare) - we would not be able to recommend this company in good faith.

Pendleton Contractors has been in business sense 1991 and has never had a negative review with anyone , ever. All work from the original agreements are 100% complete and upon vigorous inspections of all have been paid in full. All agreed upon extras are 100% complete and upon vigorous inspections have been paid in full. Demands for early payments were never made. Payments were made as per agreements. With all extras also came extra time which was added to all original agreements. There were a great deal of extras added to every project, so with that came a great deal of delays due to homeowner selection changes and homeowner supplied materials. There are to many unfounded false accusations that have no barring in truth that we're not going to respond to them all. Under normal circumstances Pendleton Contractors is more then willing to address any and all issues that may arise from our work. Due to the aggressiveness of the homeowner we cant be associated with any return work. We're truly sorry they feel the way they due about all the work we did. We feel that there projects turned out amazing and we were hoping to use them as show case pieces and use them for referrals. That obviously isn't going to be the case.

Mike and crew did a great job. The work was completed as per the proposal, on time and on budget. Mike did a grat job explaining the details of the work and met expectations. Prior to leaving each day everything was cleaned. The quality of work was superb. I have used Pendleton Construction previously and have already scheduled another job.
Description of Work: Drywall repair and painting. Cabinet repair.
