M&B Contracting

I hired to M&B to move in a new refrigerator and relocate the old one. They were friendly, though did not seem to be the most prepared. We did have moving shoulder straps that they were able to use and made things a lot smoother. Unfortunately, they still ended up scratching the new refrigerator in several places. They did have to backtrack as one of the original routes we suggested ended up not working. This wasn't the worst scenario because they quoted me at a very low rate with no mention of a minimum. However, at the end of the job, they charged over double what we were expecting. They neglected to mention that their hourly rate was for each of the two people that came, plus they rounded up the 40 minutes to 1 hour. This puts it more in range with the quotes I had gotten from other places. I don't have a problem paying this rate, but they really needed to be more up front instead of springing this on us and putting us on the spot. When combined with the work quality though, we wished we went with a different company.
