Misunderstanding between Blue Dot and Baltimore County on the inspection.The unit was not installed according to Baltimore county code. Inspection has failed twice. Unit needs to be 3 feet from connection box. They have come out a couple times since the inspection has failed but the issue has not be resolved. It was clearly explained by Baltimore county what needed to be done. I always initiate the calls with them regarding this issue. I did not feel as if they are taking my situation seriously and I would not work them again. I was not advised I was being charged $75 to pay Baltimore County to inspect the Air Condition install. Promised by Jeff, supposedly, a manager a Rep would be at my house in 20 minutes on 12/17/19, no one showed. Jeff acted confused wanted to take a photo so he could figure out what needed to be done to move an Air Conditioning unit 3 ft from connector. Company trades under Blue Dot HVAC. Richard was very friendly and helpful with accommodating the codes for the County.

Do not use this company! Yesterday a technician replaced a part in an air conditioning unit that is only 5 years old. I paid $700 for 15 minutes labor (the part was under warranty). To add insult to injury, the AC still did not work. Another technician came this morning, told me the things that yesterdays guy did wrong, and assured me it was fixed. But it is not fixed. So someone is coming again tomorrow to fix the AC. Meanwhile, I have to wait at home each time I had to wait five visits until it was fixed. In the end they said all I needed was Freon, I'm not sure I needed that new part.

All I know is do not ever use ARS in Laurel... I am going through some issues for this ac unit... we paid about 10k for this new unit. It was installed in April of 2018. We have had multiple issues from the start, like the unit continuously running and turning on and off by itself. At the original installation the tech said he was having problems installing the new Nest thermostat. We went through Home Depot who subcontracted them... they also subcontracted an electric company to install a second breaker box.... our thermostat is saying No power, no RH wire detected.... tell me how a 10k unit is already NOT working.... units should last 12 to 15 years. It has randomly turned on and off by itself from the beginning and ARS had came out and tried to say it was just a filter. They wanted money to come out today even though Home Depot offered a 10 year warranty to replace it if it stops working.... Home Depot in my area says they have specifically stopped using ARS in Laurel because other customers have had similar issues and complaints and now they use McCrea. So Home Depot is trying to figure out how to resolve it since they do not use them. A 10k unit should not stop working within a year and two months... DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

One word - AWESOME! From initial customer service representative, to service technician, Todd, to estimator/sales rep, Matt, to install team, Kevin and Nate...a very pleasant and professional experience. Everyone was timely, thorough and knowledgeable. Willing to share information yet no pressure. They truly want their customers to be happy and comfortable. Woke up to no heat one morning and had a technician at the house within a few hours. He quickly analyzed the problem and provided options for repair versus replacement. The sales rep arrived promptly for our scheduled appointment that afternoon and, with our input, provided several options for replacement units. The install team was out promptly the following morning! They worked non-stop for six-plus hours. We have nothing but positives to describe this company. Highly recommend.

I have had mutiple problem with using this company yet like a stubburn person I continue to try and work withe them since they did install my AC unit. yet it had notworked correctly since it has been installed and every time I have them over to try and fix it each tech finds something new wrong yet refuses to not even return my call but not even fix it. They just noticed that the unit was installed with out a drainage pan under the unit yet he did even offer to fix that for me he asked to see the paper work to see who sold and installed it to me I showed him everything and her said yea he doesn't work for use any more then promised to call me that evening or the next morning with some pricing on 2 solution to try and solve my cooling issue but I didn't even here from him. So I diced to call him direct and he picked up and stated there is nothing that they can do for me and that I should Call Michel and Son. I asked him about the plans that we discussed and pricing and basic he said that they didn't want to sell me another unit to do a dual zone Heating and cooling because they dont do duct work that they are in the business of replacing old unit with new one at this time. I have been using this company since 2011 when they did the install enough head aches I have giving them more then a fair shot to try and resolve the issue yet to no avail don't care. I have tried to talk to there corporate office yet they give me a number that no one picks up and have never return my phone call. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Whelp off to Michel and Sons hope I get better luck and results.

A very good experience damaged by the technician lying to me when he told me he had cleaned up and restored the work area to the original condition. The inside components of my heat pump had to be installed in a crawl space under my house. It was necessary to peel back the plastic ground cover and excavate a small trench below the entry hatch to allow the unit to be maneuvered into the final position. I specifically asked Gerardo if he replaced the dirt, returned the plastic cover and sealed it with tape before signing the final sheet. He told me yes he did each of those things. I should have checked but I had no reason to doubt him and so it wasn't until later that I opened the access hatch and discovered the dirt was strewn about and the plastic cover had not been replaced or repaired. I reported this to my salesman and when I received a follow-up call from ARS asking how the job had gone. In both instances I was told someone would be dispatched to restore the work area to its original condition. I am still waiting. ARS does do good work but are not very trustworthy, otherwise, I would have provided all 5.
