From initial contact through completion of the project, this is simply the best vendor with whom I have done business, regardless of industry or line of service.  I would recommend this firm with no reservations.

After years of dealing with disheveled and poorly designed closets, my wife and I decided to go big when we purchased our new home and started looking at custom closet options. We initially looked at Elfa closets at the Container Store. They're nice, for sure. But we weren't terribly impressed with the quality and craftsmanship at such a high price point. Plus, the price did not include installation, which would put us out of budget. Then we decided to take up Closet America on their free in-home 90' consultation. The designer showed up on time, determined our needs, and then told us about the company and product. She then measured our walk-in closet and came up with a few 3-D draft designs on her computer. We finally settled on an option, and she priced it w/in our budget. Plus, we took advantage of the 25% off special. We felt good about our purchase but were a little nervous b/c we had just plucked down a couple thousand dollars. How good can you feel, right?
W/in a week, a consultant called us to schedule the installation, which ended up being 3 weeks after our consultation b/c we wanted installation on a Saturday. Ryan showed up 15 mins early and had our closet installed w/in a couple of hours. He then gave my wife and I a "tour". I have to admit that we were very impressed. The quality and craftsmanship were as advertised. The closet looked great. And days later, we were still looking in there and patting ourselves on the back for making such a good decision (Ha!). In all seriousness, we are very happy with our closet and highly recommend Closet America.

Closet America was a dream to work with. We looked at DIY systems and none seemed quite right - which is what happens when you don't know what you are looking for! They were extremely helpful, and the results are awesome. All appointments were on time, the quality is excellent, and the installation was painless. Well worth the investment.

They explained how to manage the…I had a big closet insert put in.  They showed me how to use it and how to change it if I wanted to.  I would definitely use them again.  I really had them design a wall insert too because I had a leak and I had to change my order and some people get really mad when you do that.  They were very nice about it.  They understood.   I really appreciate their work.  Throughout the year, they've had some discounts for people that have used them which I haven't had the chance to do that because I've not been able to do things.  They are very generous and they are nice.  I like them.  Once they design it plus the order, it took them about six weeks to do it.  They did it on time.  

We had a wonderful experience with Closet America.  The designer was great and designed a wonderful organization system specifically to meet our storage needs.  We had a pdf of the design within a couple of days of our initial meeting (we met on a Saturday) and then we were able to schedule installation that met our timetable.  The installation couldn't have gone better.  The installers were terrific.  They arrived exactly on time, were professional, and worked until the entire system was completely installed--all without taking a break.  They were also very friendly and helpful in showing up how to move shelves and hooks.  Also, the communication with the Closet America staff was exceptional.   They sent appropriate reminders about installation services, followed-up after the installation to ensure everything met our needs.  We would highly recommend them if you are interested in a garage organization system.  We certainly love ours!

I used the online contact form on the Closet America site to request a call for more info.  It wasn't ten minutes before I got my call.  They were available almost immediately to send a closet designer out.  I scheduled an appointment for the following Saturday and couldn't have been happier.
Jennifer came out and talked to me about what I wanted for the closet, then took some time to do some detailed measurements.  She sat down and created a 3D model based on the measurements and our discussion of what I wanted for the closet.  Being able to see the closet was the best part.  I never felt the upsell pressure that many companies give.  For example, at one point, she asked me if I wanted a particular feature in the closet.  I wasn't entirely sure and she basically told me that it would be more expensive and most people don't do it.  Easy answer, and it definitely made me comfortable with working with her.  I signed the papers that day, but had 3 days to change my mind, which was reassuring.
Early the following week, I got a call to schedule my install.  They were ready to do it much quicker than I was!  I still needed to tear out the existing closet and paint the room.  (I believe they also offer a tear-down service of the current closet, but I didn't need that.)  
On the day of the install, I was told the installer would show up between 7:30 and 8:30.  I appreciated that they explained the window to me.  "Our trucks leave our office in Lanham at 7."  Okay, that makes sense.  I also would get a call when he was about 20 minutes out.  And all of this went as planned - he was at my house before 7:45. 
The installer did a great job. He worked steadily until after 1 that afternoon, making sure everything was perfect.  I have no complaints.
About 15 minutes after he left, a manager from Closet America called and asked if they could come see the work and chat with me to make sure I was happy.  I got another call early the following week to make sure I was still happy with the work.  This is definitely a company that prides themselves on getting it right.

I had a great experience with them. I would recommend them. They were very professional. They talked to me about what I wanted. He did a drawing right there. I could see what I was going to get. He maximized my space. He gave me an estimate and lived up to everything that they said they were going to do. I was highly satisfied with them.

The service was great, from the very first moment that the consultant came through. We had gone to a home show, and they were there. I have used other companies in the past and they were horrible. We went to their booth, and set up and appointment with them. The representative came in, and she brought products and samples with her, the wood that they use, and the whole 9 yards. She must have been here for about 2 hours. She explained everything, and then measured everything. We set up and appointment for them to come and set up everything. Everything was premade, and it fit like a glove. They said it was made in a German system, where everything was level. When they were bringing the materials in the house, they put pads on the floor, and then took them upstairs. Everything was displayed on the floor as it was supposed to be put up. The two guys who came out were excellent. They were very organized, and I have never seen anything like that. They were very thorough, and the product was very good. It was a really good system.I wanted to cut back on the price a little bit, and the white was cheaper, so she  worked on that. It was a little pricey, but you get what you pay for.  The guy called me after I completed the form to set up an appointment, and they were flexible for when to come out. I had signed up for it in October, and they were supposed to come out in December, and I had just retired, so I kept delaying every month until May, and they were very flexible about that. They called and gave me a time frame of when they were going to come out and they came out early. The consultant knew what she needed, she knew her product, she knew the CAT program. The guys who came out cleaned everything, the wiped all the dust, and they explained everything. I have recommended them to my daughter.

I had used them before to do some projects for the upstairs. They are very professional.

First the good.  The people at the company were very pleasant to deal with.  The installer was very good.  They were very punctual.
The not so good.   1. Sales Pitch. During the initial meeting they show you examples of their pressboard and try to convince you how much better it is than everyone elses, how superior their hardware is  and all the awards they have received. And lets not forget their double lifetime guarantee.  Next  they proceed to design your closet.  Then they play a game with you trying to get you to guess how much your install might cost now that you know the great quality you are going to get.  They give you estimates of what a cabinet maker  would charge and how much a custom install from others would be. Their cost was twice as high as I had guessed they would be. And their estimates for custom work about 3x higher than I know it is, because I've had custom work done in the past.  They came down a little on their price and I bit.  Big mistake.  2. After the install I noticed I had less room than I anticipated.  Although the design was nice, it was completely inefficient.  They had but drawers in the middle of a shelf that left  unusable space on both sides.  I called and they agreed to change the design. During the change rather than use one new board the decided to recycle an old board that now had holes on the wrong side.  The installer called them about this also  but that's what he was told to use. 3. It's been over 6 months now and when I tried to move some of the shelves the little plastic pieces that lock into the press board came out and stuck on the pegs in the vertical boards.  I called then on this and they said that's normal.  Pretty unbelieveable.  So much for the quality hardware.  To be honest, They didn't do a bad job and for about 1/3 of what I paid I would have been happy.  It's basically some pressboard shelves, of Ikea quality, very well installed. At a huge premium price.  Nothing more. If I had to do it over I would go with Ikea when they have their organizer stuff in the store.  You get 3x more for your money and comparable quality. The funny thing is they do all these surveys.  I tell them my experience, they say thank-you and that's it.  Oh well...
