ASHLEY FURNITURE HOME STORE

Called to inform them and was told I would have to file a claim online. I filed the claim and received an email saying someone would get back with me in 24 hours. No one did, so I called my sales person who said it really takes 48 hours. So I waited an additional day as instructed. I still did not receive a call from customer service. I called the store back today and was transferred to customer service by my sales person who said "we have to follow the process". Customer service told me they never got the claim despite the confirmation email. I sent the claim information via email while they were on the phone. I was then told the mattress was not in stock and I would have to wait 10 days for another delivery. I asked for some sort of discount for the inconvenience of having to waste another day waiting for replacements of items that should have never been delivered. They offered me $30. This does not seem to cover the 8+ hours that will be required for the delivery window. I called my sales person back to see if he could do anything. At that point he told me NO ONE INSPECTS the items UNLESS YOU GET PREMIUM DELIVERY. This was the first I heard of this and also seems to contradict the initials on the mattress and box spring tags. He was rude and ended up hanging up on me because I told him that it seemed as if he got his sale and now didn't care (and was unwilling to help).

We bought furniture at Ashley Furniture about a year ago. The cost was about 4000 or so and they did charge for the delivery and the cost of the delivery was about 100 dollars. What stood out about Ashley Furniture is that they were attentive without being too over bearing.
