I thought I finally found an upstanding Auto Sales dealership. Well, what started as a good experience with John Goshnell and Bob King at Wilkins Auto has ended on a sour note. Their warranty states that all of their vehicles have passed a 100 plus inspection, which evidently must be a lie. I purchased the used car with the expectation that the car passed the 100 plus inspection and that I would be given “GREAT SERVICE” (what a joke). I told John I was going to have the car inspected again just to make sure that there were no problems before the 30 days or 1000 mile warranty expired. John replied “we stand behind our cars”. I made an appointment with Euro Motors Volvo on December 24th by a Certified Technician. He found that the brake vacuum seal is leaking fluid onto the engine which would cost approximately $300.00. Because I knew the car was under the 30/1000 mile warranty, I immediately, called the dealership and spoke with Bob King, Used Car Sales manager. I explained the issues that Euro Motors had divulged to me, all of sudden, he doesn’t think it’s covered for a car I haven’t had for TWO WEEKS. Bob King tells me to bring the car up on the December 26, 2013 to get my car mats and the technician could look at the car then. Well, I go back to the dealership and to my surprise, Bob King tells me that it’s not going to cost me as much as it would cost at Euro Motors Volvo. I then asked him again, why would it cost me anything if I’m still under the Dealership warranty? He became dismissive. Then the salesman, John Goshnell gives me the car mats that don’t fit or match, at this point I’m thoroughly Frustrated and DISSAPOINTED!!!! I call on December 27th to speak with the Operations Manager, Jeremy Wilkins to express my concerns and disappointment with Wilkins Auto not honoring the 100 plus inspection (the inspection which they pride themselves so highly on) but he wasn’t available and spoke with his secretary instead. She stated that someone would call me back. About an hour later Mr. Bruce Catterton, General Manager called, again I expressed my concerns. He said I could bring the car up so their mechanic could look at it once again. What a waste of my time. I take the car for the second time BACK TO WILKINS AUTO ONLY FOR THE TECHNICIANS TO SAY NOTHING IS LEAKING - REALLY!!! I took pictures where you clearly SEE the LEAK. I did not purchase an “AS IS CAR”!! So beware the statement says “Everybody Wins at Wilkins Great Cars Great Price and Great Service.” THEY DON’T BACK THEIR CARS!!! In LESS THAN 3 WEEKS OIL LEAKING ON ENGINE!!!!

I came here for a required state inspection on my vehicle. I own a Subaru and felt more comfortable going to a dealership for the inspection then a gas station. I also chose them because they required an appointment for the inspection while other locations did not, and I didn't want to wait all day. Unfortunately, only the Buick side of the Wilkins dealership does the inspections. I say unfortunately because I made an appointment for 8:00am, arrived at 7:20am, was the 4th person there, and proceeded to wait 5 1/2 hours for a process that takes 1 1/2 hours to complete. From 7:30am-1:15pm. I was given no reason or explanation or even just an apology,,, recognition that I was there for an unreasonable amount of time, anything. A man came in the waiting room after about 4 hours to say "the guy knows you're here, he'll be working on it soon." I don't understand why I would be given an appointment for 8:00am if they don't plan on working on my car until 12:00pm. Extremely disappointed.
Description of Work: The state of Maryland requires a state inspection for all new residents registering their vehicles. This dealership was a certified location for the inspection.

ALL THEY WERE INTERESTED IN WAS MAKING A SALE AND A GETTING A LEMON CAR OFF THE LOT. WOULD NOT STAND BEHIND THE THINGS THAT THEY PROMISED. VERY POOR SKILLS
Description of Work: THIS WAS THE WORST CAR DEALER I HAVE EVERY DEALT WITH. SOLD ME A USED LEMON AND WOULD NOT STAND BEHIND IT. ONCE THEY MADE THE SALE THEY COULD HAVE CARED LESS ABOUT THE PROBLEMS WITH THE CAR.
