The service man was very professional and gave me some great tips on maintaining my heat pump. I would recommend this company.

I had purchased the super deal for this company. When I called for an appointment I was informed that they did not service my area. A refund was given from Angie's List.

We scheduled about a month in advance since A/C season had started along with a heat wave, and emergency repairs took priority - which I completely understood. Serviceman arrived right on time and went right to work cleaning the inside and outside units. Although my Angie's List Deal included up to a pound of gas, he convinced me that my high efficiency system did not need it and could, in fact, be harmed by adding more, providing me with the pressure of the gas as evidence. (The company we'd used last year had tried to sell me more gas for $100 above the service call, but since we thought the fairly new system cooled sufficiently we'd wait until this year. Are we glad we did!) He cleaned up after himself and was polite and professional throughout. They'll be back at our house!

Air Conditioning wasn't working. Did a full maintenance check, found that internal breaker was tripped. Cleaned inside and out and check all voltage levels inside and outside house. Professional and courteous. Recommended warranty because of age of unit but wasn't overly pushy about it. Would definitely use again.

The service rep checked and cleaned the ouyside unit and added a plastic tube inside to clesn drain pipe ,when needed.

Technician (Julio) was so kind and patient. He was a problem solved. I was ready to buy a new system...unfortunately that would not help because the system was fine, my problem was with the supply tubes. I had to demolish the ceiling of my basement to help them attempt to locate the leaks. Might be a mess now, but thankfully my a/c is now working well.

I purchased the service with 1 lb coolant form my ac system. The system has kept our home cool all summer and showed no sign of problems. I just figured it was due for a service. They were very quick in getting back to me to schedule an appointment and the tech was on time and pleasant. The problem was that he didn't do what I paid for. He checked the temps on the outgoing and incoming air and said it did not have enough temperature difference and therefore he couldn't perform the service. Instead he said I would have to pay for a diagnostic to find out what was wrong. He said it could just need a cleaning and some coolant (which is what I originally paid for ) but that he couldn't do anything unless I paid the $99 for the diagnostic. As my ac has kept our home cool all summer long, and is blowing cold air right now, I felt that was completely absurd. I have no problem addressing a problem if one turns up after the service I paid for, but to,refuse to do the service unless and until I paid for a diagnostic seems completely backwards. I called the company and they gave me the same line and showed no interest in working with me to resolve this. I won't be calling them again and recommend that you look elsewhere or at least get a second estimate before doing any work without them.

Not the news I wanted to hear of having to replace the unit. The tech did explain where the leak was and that it's not cost effective to repair ad the lea is in the aluminum pipe not the copper. He also explained the cost of the refrigerant and that the governemnt is trying to get companies and residents to stop using it. So, now looking to get estimates to replace the unit.

The service turned out pretty good. He guided us on the maintenance of the systems.

It was an Angie's list Big Deal that I purchased. It was pretty good. They came out pretty quickly after I purchased the deal. Everything went smooth and good.

I bought the AL big deal for AC tune up and Freon top off as I believed it to be a good price. I scheduled the appointment and gave my code. The appointment was not confirmed the day before so when the time window was about over I called the office to check on status of tech. I was told first I was on the schedule, and then not. They found my appointment and scheduled me for later in the day. Then they had cancelation so they called and tech came earlier. I am guessing a busy shop as it is July in Maryland and hot and humid. The tech was very professional and showed care for my home as put on the covers over his boots. It happened to be raining so I was glad that he did. He listened to my issues and what I suspected may be wrong with the unit after reading items online. He checked the system and added the Freon as needed and explained to me how the inside and outside unit work together. He measured the performance of unit and said it was working properly but a builder grade unit and old. Later in the day I went out to backyard and saw the two line covers still on the unit pad so I screwed them back on. Overall I am pleased with the professionalism of tech and helpfulness of his suggestions. I would use this company again and will consider them when I am ready to replace inside and outside unit.

Signed up for an air conditioner check and up to l lb Freon included, if needed. Upon inspection tech found coils frozen. I could not be there so my neighbor was there. Tech insisted neighbor go look with him so he could point out the frozen coils. Tech, Oscar, called me and explained what he found and the next step which was a leak test. We scheduled that for 2 days later so coils could thaw. Upon arrival he explained exactly what he would be doing. The leak was found, because of a stripped pin, which he showed me. A dye test was done also to make sure no additional leaks were there. One lb of Freon was added (which I was not charged because it was included with the original deal). Oscar explained the yearly service plan the company offers and said he would deduct the original $ 88.00 that I got off of Angie's list if I signed up then. That was a great deal! Needless to say, I signed onto the service plan. I am so pleased with this company. They were so professional yet explained everything in layman's terms. From customer service to the technical service, this is a top notch company.

I bought the package knowing my AC unit was 19 years old and with my home warranty if anything went wrong they want records of when the last time it was maintanced. So i saw the deal on Angieslist and decided this is the best bang for my buck. Between the time i bought the deal and the day of service my unit outside decided it had enough and stopped blowing cold air. I called and told them when the situation was which SILA was very responsive to and informed the tech on the situation. the tech (Oscar) was very nice, he was on time and talked me through everything he was doing. He spent about 45 mins going over my the entire AC unit both inside and outside. Oscar decided i needed an new compressor and he was nice enough to talk to my home warranty company and tell them what he saw what he did and how he determined the compressor needed to be replaced. My warranty company wanted an estimate so SILA gave me an estimate of 2600 to replace the compressor. (WAY HIGH) my warranty company laughed in my face. they sent out another company the next day and the tech from Metro Mechanical Services determined that 1. it was not my compressor but rather a fan motor. 2. i was 1lb short on freon. funny how i went from 2600 in repairs to 200.00. SILA was way off. also i didnt even get the 1lb of freon i bought with my angieslist deal. SILA aslo told me new units would be near 10k to replace. Metro Mech sent me 4 estimates with up to a 16 seer unit and the highest price was 7200. Evan with SILA did refund my 88.00 i spent on the angieslist deal. i will not use SILA every again and i will inform everyone i know to stay away.

He was very helpful, courteous, and prompt. He was knowledgeable and he went about his business quickly and efficiently. He answered any questions that I had.

Outstanding service; technician (Julio) arrived on time and brought booties(!)--that told me he respected my house as much as I do. Provided excellent service and answered our questions about the way ahead for our units (we will eventually need to convert to Puron systems). I would use Sila Heating & AC again in a heartbeat--they have earned my highest recommendation.

I really enjoy working with Oscar. He was very generous in sharing how I can save money by doing some simple thing on my AC units. He was very professional and efficient.

I was contacted within 48 hours of leaving a phone message. this was terrific considering the extreme busy season. An appointment was made for 4 days later. Julio arrived within a half hour of the two hour time window. He was professional and knowledgable. Everything necessary to get my systems up and running was on the truck.
