came out as scheduled...spent 5 minutes in basement and then told me I had serious crack in my boiler heating element...and that it could not be fixed...and that I needed a new boiler...and that boiler was not holding pressure... I had other companies come out and tell me the complete opposite...that there was no crack...it was holding pressure...and that I did not need a boiler... of course I got 5 calls from this company in 3 days to sell me new boiler... not happy...

Went great. I had a ton of questions and he answered all of them and gave me a heads up about a possible failing capacitor and flame sensor - to keep an eye on them. Would definitely hire them back for larger projects.

Everything went well. This was a system check to insure the furnance would be ready to use in the winter.

Quick and easy. We didn't have any issues with our HVAC system so he left right after he informed us of how it went.

Our appointment was at 8 am. The technician was at our door no later than 8:05am. Josh was prompt, courteous, and informative. He checked out the location of our water heater, returned to his vehicle to get the necessary equipment needed to flush the water heater. He was careful to clean up any spills made during the process. We are very pleased with the service.

If you are happy with a 870% markup on replacement parts, then these guys are for you! I had an external water (available online for $42) pump replaced for $368 plus call out fee of $95 rudely by Josh. If you are thinking of doing a bigger job I would avoid these guys, you will get overcharged, BUYER BEWARE! My unit completely stopped working during some of those 90 degree days during July on a Friday. I called Sila on the weekend and they didn't answer, although they were not the only company to not be available. After one missed appointment on Tuesday, I had an appointment between 3-5pm scheduled Thursday (almost a week after my A/c stopped working). At 2pm Josh called to try to cancel the appointment, his reasons were "its raining and it hard for me to drive over there" and "its really unsafe to work out in the rain". I told Josh that he would be working indoors and it was urgent that I get my a/c working as it had almost been a week. He begrudgingly agreed to keep his appointment and sounded very annoyed, his tone went from polite to short. I assume he would of preferred to knock off early, I really don't think a 3pm appointment is too hard, especially since I had to come home from work and return to work myself. When Josh arrived (on time at 3pm), he was still short with me and began to look at the unit. To his credit he pinpointed the problem quickly, a faulty water pump. He then said "oh this is a very expensive part its like $350" , I said "I don't really have a choice, do I?". As he was installing the part, I googled the part and discovered it cost $42 online. He wrote up the bill and had the pump at $368 even more than he quoted and he added the call out fee of $95 on top. I questioned him on his pricing, showed him it online at $42, his response was "its just the cost of doing / running a business" and "we cant buy the part for that price, we pay $150" , if I can buy it for $42 I don't see how Sila can't. I explained that he was being very unfair (polite way of saying he was ripping me off so badly its basically stealing). We was very dismissive and wouldn't budge, I also asked if the call out fee was still necessary as I was paying so much for a cheap part, he said its still was to be paid. I called Sila to speak the Boss Evan Brodowski and see if he could make this right, a few days ago, he was unavailable and the lady said he would call me back, there has been no response. I was testing out Sila because I need to install a central system in my rental property, they really failed, If they rip me off that much for a small part I don't trust them for a installation. They made a few hundred dollars rudely and missed out on bigger business. **** update I went to replace the air filter and Josh the rude , try and cancel the job last minute installer had installed the the pipe to the pump in front of the filter slot, the pvc pipe had to be broken the replace filter. What a terrible job he did! Oh he still charged a high price.

What a great company! This was the first time I used them. I had to call to reschedule several times because of personal reasons, and they were pleasant and accommodating each time. This company spent more time than any other cleaning and servicing my unit, doing things that others did not do -- e.g. spending time hosing down the outdoor unit so that it would run at peak efficiency. The service provider spent a great deal of time speaking to me about tips for the efficient use of my system, and explaining in detail the work that was done. There was NO hard sell of other items for services, which I really appreciated. The service provider was very knowledgeable, and wore protective footwear inside my home. Bonus: I was able to us a $10 Angies List coupon that brought the priced down from $79 to $69. Thank you, Sila.

From start to finish they were excellent. The technician had a wonderful attitude, professional and friendly. He did a remarkable job and we will call upon him and them in the future.

The Provider was great. Took a couple of weeks to get an appointment (I assume because of the response from the Angie's list deal). I saw a similar deal elsewhere with more inspection points for $10 cheaper from a competitor but I had an appointment already here so I stuck with it. We were very pleased with the service tech. He was friendly, on time, and very knowledgeable. Would definitely use the company again.

Overall very positive experience. A little background though; I had originally purchased the $79 Angie?s List Big Deal which included a HVAC inspection/maintenance along with 1lb of refrigerant. Between the time of purchase, and the time the company called to schedule the visit, my AC had started to ?act up? again, as a result of a previously diagnosed slow Freon leak. In order to avoid waiting an additional 3 weeks for a visit, I was told I could upgrade to a $98 service/diagnostic visit, and that would allow for only a one week delay in scheduling a visit. I did so, and was very impressed with the technician who did a thorough check up of the system, including a nitrogen leak test. He did everything possible to ?save? my heat pump, but because of the leak location, the unit was ?terminally ill?. The technician was very competent, and explained each step of the process he took to diagnose and attempt a repair. They did credit the service call cost against my purchase of a new unit. It took another day in order for the estimator to visit and provide an estimate for a new unit. Thankfully, I was able to salvage the indoor unit/air-handler, and the new external heat pump was installed 4 business days later. The installers too, were extremely knowledgeable and professional. They even did some small ?retro-fitting? of my indoor unit drainage to permit me to more easily change the AC filters. They also re-insulated and re-installed some indoor piping/wiring to make the outdoor unit run more efficiently. All in all, I would recommend SILA to anyone looking for HVAC services.

They rescheduled my appointment twice. It was 2 months between buying the Angie"s list deal and getting the service. The technician was outstanding. Very helpful, friendly, patient...fantastic. My system required an additional lb of Freon which cost $175. After talking to others who bought Freon, $175 is at the very top of the cost range.

PRO: I called them right after I bought the Deal. Receptionist were courteous, polite, and friendly. The receptionist informed me of the next available dates which was about 1.5 weeks later. No problem...summer heat had not kicked in yet, but was getting some warm days here and there. Scheduled the appointment for the early morning at 9am. Got a call on the morning of, 1hr before the appt, stating that my technician was sick and I needed to reschedule. Rescheduled the next appt opening 10days later at 8am. 15min before my appt, the technician called saying he is about 13 min away. Dave showed up 5 min late, again not a problem, introduced himself and went to work. He had booties for his shoes, just in case he had to walk across the carpet to get to the A/C Furnace but it was not necessary, we have stone tile floor to the basement door. He check thermostat, then we headed to the basement. He checked the coils for rust then sprayed some disinfectant on the coils and drain pain as part of the tune up. He check blower operation and amperage draw while A/C was operating. We then headed outside where he cleaned the condenser. David hooked up his gauge lines and check operation and efficiency. Refrigerate levels were spot on since last A/C tune up 2yrs ago where I needed some refrigerant, so no leaks, at least for now. He inspected the condenser and amperage draws while in operation. We then headed back inside where he put on the booties for his shoes since we were on the freshly cut lawn that had dew on it. He check the temp differences between the output and the return, which was within the normal range. Went back up stairs, wrote up the receipt. He explained the receipt. David was at the house about 1.25hrs. He answered all my questions and then some, clearly and without hesitation. I had a lot of questions, as engineers normally do. He was polite. CON: This tune up was done by a different company that whom I had used before on Angie's List. With that said, no free 30 day filter was provided and the condenser unit was not waxed at the top of the condenser unit housing to protect it from the elements as the other company had done as part of its A/C Tune up. Now with the CON portion said, I will say I am still pleased about the service I got for the price on Angie's List.

Once Dave arrived he was happy, polite, knowledgable and did not waste any time. He checked it all out and didn't mess around. I would have him back if i have any issues in the future.

Dave was an awesome technician. He was late do to an emergency call before us but made up for it with an awesome customer service attitude. I would request him to come out to service our unit again.
