This company's customer service and communication is awful. It's so bad that the estimator miscommunicated the work that was to be done, which meant it wasn't done as it was requested and our basement flooded just days after work was complete. On the upside the company was very compliant about coming back out and fixing the work to the original specifications. To date the system hasn't been tested by the weather to see if the work will truly keep our basement dry. Just to emphasize the poor communication of the company and lousy follow-up, they called us just yesterday to ask if we would like to get the work complete -- this is days after the work was complete. Also, they never did follow-up after completion of the work. For such a large investment ($4,200) I would hope that such a service company would care enough to follow-up with their customer, no matter how big or small the job, but especially for one of this size.

They came by to install a sump pump but found out after digging into the foundation that because of the way the house was built they would be unable to install a sump pump and would have to seal the outside. They repaired the hole and didn't charge me for anything on the first day. They were able to come out the following week and seal the outside plus install an outside drainage system to lead water away from the house. They ended up bringing out two crews and finished the work in one day instead of two. They also saved me money by digging under the concrete sidewalks/stairs instead of breaking it apart and took it off the final price. The owner and the crews were very respectful and we're happy with how it turned out.

The salesman is very enthusiatic and willing to answer any questions.. The workers were so very nice, respectful and hard working on probably one of the coldest days. I do think it was overpriced . Peace of mind I guess is worth something

I hired this company to test whether the mold I had discovered on a patch of drywall was toxic or not. They were unable to get out to me for over a week, at which point their representative showed up (late) to gather samples. A week later, I called to determine the status of my test, as I was told I would hear back from them in 48 hours, to find that apparently one of the samples containers had broken, and they would have to come out again. Flash forward another week, someone showed up to do so again; its been 2 weeks now and I still have no results. Strongly advise to avoid this company.

The work was very well done and professional. Now a carpenter is needed to rebuild the torn-up walls, re-install the carpeting and prvide the labor to move all the furniture back where it was.

MD Waterproofing Provided very timely, friendly, and knowledgeable service. I needed a sump pump installed, which turned out to be a bigger job than anticipated due to various issues with the house. They handled it no problem and still got the job completed on schedule.

As of yesterday, the concrete was laid and this was the final process in completing the 3-4 day water management project. I haven't had a chance to test the system yet, however, Ken Siedelman (Salesperson) was very hands-on, responsive (answered my litany of questions extremely quickly), and overall provided excellent customer. Thankfully, I didn't get that high-pressured sales pitch, harassing me w/scare tactics and hurry up and get it done phone calls, like the other companies I received estimates from, which was a thorough relief. To top it off, they were very reasonably priced. So far so good MD Waterproofing!

Professional, skillful, and very good price. Had water coming up through the concrete floor of the basement. They determined what was wrong and gave me a good price. Their price was much less that two other comps I had gotten. Worked until I was satisfied with the job!

They did not do what they said they would. They left the job and said they were done but they were not. I have to walk around they house pointing out what they missed. They left my front yard a mess and I had to fix, and reseed the yard myself. They suppose to reduce my charges and they did not, I had to complain to get the agreed upon reduction removed (this was for work they did not perform). Some of the team members was great to work with, but others were not, the sales guy would tell me one thing and something else would happen, or not at all. What was done and what I was charged was not worth it.

I would give no stars to this company. Maryland Waterproofing provided extremely poor service on our project. I am happy to provide details or be used as a negative reference. I would have reported them to the Better Business Bureau bynow if I had not been so busy. They are not equipped with the knowledgeto deal with EPA Standards, water damage and rebuilding interior space.Their sales practices and estimates for work and cost are designed to take advantage of the unsuspecting homeowner. We felt we were dealing with crooks and with workmen who had no respect for our home.

"After communication with the homeowmner regarding all issues relating to the project, the company has paid the homeowner for her inconvienience, and fixed all issues. She has indicated her complete satisfaction with the negotiated settlement and has a dry basement in the contracted areas. The salesperson was let go from our company and currently works for a competitor. We have been in business for a very long time and have performed thousands of jobs with an "A" rating from the BBB. We strive to maintain customer satisfaction. The homeowner has also agreed to retract and modify this unsatisfactory rating."

Professional, nice, timely and efficient, they were outstanding to work with. They explained the Radon-mitigation equipment they would install, and when I thought I had a problem with the system (I didn't, it turns out) they immediately dispatched the technician who installed it (even though it was Inauguration Day) to look at the system.
