The plumber they sent is very nice. He installed a new hot water heater and it has been working very well.

The plumber arrived on time, and completed the work that morning. He showed me how to do necessary maintenance, and installed several shutoff valves to make maintenance and repair easier. The work took slightly longer than originally estimated. I found out in a later review that Stang will install some owner purchased equipment, and I could have gotten this UV light hundreds of dollars cheaper online, but we were trying to deal quickly with water that had failed several tests before we moved into the house and Stang's price was comparable to other plumbers' bids. A billing question was resolved quickly and satisfactorily with one phone call. We will consider using Stang plumbing again.

I was very happy with their service. They scheduled the installation on the date and time that I requested; they arrived on time, and completed the work within about 2 hours. They removed the old heater with no damage, and left the work area clean after ijstalling the new heater. They explained how to operate the new heater; It is working well, creating plenty of hot water. There have been no problems in the week since the installation. Stang obtained a city permit for the installation, and scheduled the city inspection a couple of days later at a time I requested. The inspector arrived on time and confirmed that the installation met all relevant city codes.

We used Stang around a year ago to install a backflow preventer (or backwater) valve. We were impressed with the work, so when we had problems this time around, they were the logical ones to call. For this call the problem was a backed up main line leading out of the house. Stang showed up promptly and performed excellent work as usual. They cleaned out our backflow valve, and ran a snake down the main line to remove a clog. The only thing I'm not rating A for this visit is the price. We were charged $265 per hour for the drain to be snaked, plus $45 per hour for a helper. In the end, we paid $635 for 2 hrs of labor and some misc supplies. The $265/hr seemed so excessive that I phoned Stang's office to see if it was a mistake, and it wasn't. I phoned some other plumbers in the area, and the average rate I found for this was $120/hr, so we were charged more than double that. When they installed our backflow valve, we paid around $1500, and they were here for 2-3 days jackhammering our floor, installing the valve, re-routing plumbing, re-cementing the floor, etc. Then $635 for only 2 hrs? I'd hire Stang again based on the quality of work, but I'll be asking for a quote on EVERY item next time!

Stang Plumbing has been doing the care and maintenance of my whole house water filter for years and they have always been efficient, professional, easy to set appointment, show up when scheduled (or call if experiencing a delay), and are happy to explain things and answer any and all questions. That is why I continue to use them. :-)

Plumber came on time and replaced two defective systems and they are still working great!

I chose Stang Plumbing because of the number of excellent ratings. When I called I explained that nothing was wrong; I wanted only an inspection and a service contract. I learned that Stang does not offer contracts but charges by the hour plus parts. I arranged for an inspection using an online $20 off- coupon from Angie's List. When Rob arrived, he checked for leaks in the toilet, found one and put in a new flapper.He said that customers have the option of buying some materials on their own and having Stang install them or letting Stang bring everything they need.( One plumbing company charged $800.00 to put in a toilet that I could have bought at Home Depot for $250.) He checked my water sources inside and outside and answered questions as I followed him around. He found and repaired minor problems, shut off a water pipe for the winter and told me how to check for leaks and sewage problems. He made suggestions on how to keep pipes unclogged without using harmful,liquid drain openers. Rob was not there to just make money.He wanted to help me maintain my house. Because Stang charges by the hour, not by the job I can get more done for less and always know approximately what my bill will be. I am very pleased.

I called Stang Plumbing, who I have used for previous plumbing work. As usual, my request was handled promptly and courteously. My house is difficult to find and I had provided instructions which the technician followed perfectly, which saved a lot of time and frustration. The technician arrived right on time and was very courteous and knowledgable. He located the problem very quickly, explained the problem to me and showed me what to do to prevent it in the future. As I mentioned I have used Stang in the past and have always been very pleased with their performance and highly recommend them to others.

I was pleasantly surprised. They were able to give a choice of appointment times within the next three days. At the appointed time they pre-called as they said they would and arrived right on time. After carefully putting on "booties" they went upstairs to access the situation and came down and said they could repair it without going through the wall. The estimate was around $250.00 which what I was charged. They were good natured and could have been more pleasant putting up nicely with my many questions. I was so pleased after they left I called their office and told of my very good experience.

The plumber fixed one tolit, advised against spending money on the second since it was over 30 years old and leaking slowly. He advised replacing the tolit in the future and obtained a price quote for me for two manufactures, Toto and American standard. The third probem, a noisy stack pipe he advised that it wasn't broken. I used "Angies" on line purchase of a coupon for $20 off the visit. The pulmber was very punctual, courteous, and informitive and Dawn in the service department is very pleasent to deal with. I have used Stang Plumbers for years and will continue to use them.

I contacted Stang Plumbing for a cast iron sewer pipe that had cracks and was leaking. I was promptly called the next morning and set up an appointment for the next day. The plumbers arrived at the time that was arranged and went immediately to work. Within an hour the old cast iron pipe was removed and was replaced with a new PVC pipe. The new pipe works great and the leaking problem is gone. The plumbers cleaned up the area so you couldn't even tell anyone had been working there. A great job and I am quite satisifed with the price.

They came as scheduied and fixed the sink without any trouble. Diagnosed high pitched noise as faulty main pressure valve into house and replaced it. However this didn't fix the problem--it returned just after they left. However, on being called they returned and fixed problem w/ no charge the second time. Overall cost was a bit high even with the coupon, but hey, its plumbing...

Stang was very responsive and was ready to send someone out as soon as I called. The plumber arrived, and quickly took care of the leaky toilet. He looked at the main shut-off valve as well, but said we did not need to replace pipes anytime soon unless we had more leaks. Amazing! I've always had plumbers recommend the most expensive service possible, so this was a refreshing departure from the norm. Stang will be my new go-to plumbers.

We were very satisfied with there quick response time and the thoroughness of the work completed. Their technician was courteous and professional. The price was reasonable and their has been no problems since the repair. We had used Stang Plumbing & Heating previously on a pipe for an install on our new Heat/Air system. We are very pleased with this company and plan to use them for any future plumbing problems or upgrades that may occur.

The clothes washer sink blocked up. I tried numerous times to clear it with a hand snake. All attempts failed so I call Stang Plumbing the next morning. They had someone out to fix the problem within an hour. The technician, although young, was quite polite and knowledgeable about drain problems, he explained what he was going to do and answered all my questions. Within 30 minutes the problem was fixed. I have used Stang Plumbing a number of times and always have had superior results. They are local to this area and really care about service.

Both of the gentlemen from Stang Plumbing and Heating were professional, pleasant, and quick about vacuuming up the water and letting me know who to call to get my problem solved. They took off their shoes outside and wore booties in the house--always important!

They always do very good work. They're clean, and prepared. They did the work quickly and made sure everything was put in right.

The plumber who came to the house was able to determine that the tank was in good condition. Even though it was already after 5:00 when he returned with the parts, he still stayed to do the work and add the parts needed to bring our tank up to code. We only had to pay for the new parts to bring it up to code. The Home Warranty paid for replacements and labor. The work was done in a timely manner, he cleaned up everything and made sure everything was working before he left... i.e.: he checked that the water was already getting warm. He told us what to look for over the next few days and to call if anything didn't seem right. Everything is working great and we will definitely call again for any other work in the house. We have a toilet that will need to be replaced but can't do it right now. We when can we will definitely use them again!

The service was well. I will have to talk to them about a discount that they would not honor.
