Everything went very smoothly from start to finish. Job was assessed, appt made, workers showed up on time, work done in a timely manner.

I used them within the last month. I was pretty pleased with the whole process. I wouldn't say any negatives at all. I think the pricing was reasonable. They were great.

Moved into the new house and was having problems with gutters. Called for multiple estimates, Shanco was a bit more expensive but very honest and straightforward. Others claimed we needed a new roof, but Shanco said we'd be ok and that the gutters alone needed to be fixed.

We worked with them two years ago and then from April through July. Two years ago when we had half of the house replaced, it went well which is why we decided to use them again. We chose them again to do the other half of the window replacement and they were very, very poorly managed. It was very poor workmanship and we had a lot of problems. They were not able to competently measure the windows. They did not have a really good rapport with the company that they needed to purchase the windows from. Scheduling was really bad in terms of when they were supposed to be here. They would call 15 minutes before they were supposed to arrive to say that they were not going to be here. They missed showing up several times. Those were the most major things that adversely affected us to never use them again or recommend them.

Shanco provided one of several estimates I requested for roofing. Although I did not contract with them for the job, they were very prompt and professional in estimating, explaining and detailing the job. I would certainly consider for future work.

Shanco did a thorough inspection and recommended replacing two additional vents. The estimator was very helpful and answered all my questions. Their estimate was the most reasonable, and they performed the work in a timely manner. I will definitely consider them when we need to replace the entire roof in a few years.

First: I was grateful that Shanco would take on a roof repair rather than a total roof replacement. Second: I was pleased that Brad Young came to my house soon after I called. Third: Shanco gave me a very fair price. Fourth: The repair men worked extremely h****** a very hot day and were very professional and well mannered. I was impressed how they cleaned up after themselves. Fifth: Within days, I received the receipt and the two year warranty.

We have used Shanco in the past and they recently came through for us once again. Brad came to our house to diagnose and propose solutions to a couple of problems we had - water damage around some windows and a saggy back porch. He immediately found the cause of our problems and gave us an estimate for repairs the following day. Two very competent repairmen came the next week and worked into the early evening to complete the job. They installed replacement oversized gutters, repaired the roof and retouched some exterior paint around the flashing, and fixed a saggy back porch. The quality of the work is excellent, they worked efficiently and they cleaned up beautifully. We would be happy to call upon Shanco again.

They were very professional, on time and completed the job in a timely manner. Furthermore, they took care of the problem I was experiencing without trying to sell me products I did not need and did it for substantially less than other quotes.

It was a great experience. They did exactly what they said they were going to do, they did it on time, and they let us know ahead of time and rescheduled right away when there were weather delays. They are a very responsible company and they checked up on us afterwards. I recommend them.

Previous gutter screens/covering not done properly. One corner of the gutter occassionally leaked. I thought repairs needed to be done before summer storms become frequent. Selected Shanco and two others from your "A list" for estimates. Shanco was the only one who responded to my rather minor job request. Shanco's rep satisfied my questions. Besides, I trust Angie's List so I did not seek any other estimates before hiring Shanco. Shenco kept me informed via e-mail during every step of the planning. Very easy to communicate with them.

Stanco came punctually to prepare estimate. Submitted detailed estimate in a timely manner. Workmen came on date and on time. Workmen very professional. Supervisor equally professional; explained problem and work to be undertaken clearly and in detail.Excellent experience.

I had very good experience with them and they were very highly rated. They were very responsive and very professional from the time they came out to do the estimate. They kept the cost within reasonable range. They worked with me to get the job done properly always through the process. They came on time and they did the right job that needed to be done. They sent me an email before they came asking for a good time to come in.

My husband and I had the same experience as the person from 4/2/2011. A Shanco rep. came to the house to do an estimate for rotting wood and a window replacement. He was personable, helpful, appeared to be interested in doing the work, and said he would get back to us soon with an estimate - and 3 weeks later we still haven't heard a word. I'm not going to even bother running him down as there are plenty of other companies out there that would probably like our business.

We are very pleased with this company. Everyone we dealt with was extremely knowledgeable and professional. The work was done as promised and we weren't billed until we received a follow-up phone call.

Researched gutter companies using Angie's list and Consumer Checkbook. Called several other companies as well as Shanco. Shanco responded immediately and was very professional. They sent someone for the estimate, provided the proposal via email and answered questions promptly. Terms were clear in their contract - and optional upgrades were offered. We opted for the larger size gutters, for example, after they explained the pro's and cons of larger gutters. They did an excellent job - we plan to use their services in the future. Highly recommend!

I think Bartlett Roofing became Shanco Companies. I spent $260 on that service. The experience with that work was excellent. They are very inexpensive and in fact I recommended them to my neighbor.

They came on time. Both jobs were completed in a reasonable time frame. I would use them again.

They were a bit pricey so I ended up not using them.

That was very nice of him and I'll use them forever because of this.

This is a case of extremely poor responsiveness. Shanco showed up to give us an estimate for fixing some water and rot problems we have on the rear of our house. He was personable and seemingly helpful as we discussed several options. He promised to get us an estimate within a few days. After several phone calls, we finally got an estimate a month later. When the estimate came, it included a couple of items that we had talked about, but decided not to do. I responded to the estimate with a request to trim out those extra items. I never heard back.

I had a 3x4 foot section of roof tiles that had been ripped from my roof during a wind storm. Shanco came and gave me a estimate and upon my request nailed down the old tiles as temporary fix since rain was in the forecast for that night. I agreed to the estimate and made a downpayment for the work to be done. Ten days later I received an invoice by email for the remainder of payment. After calling Shanco I was told the repair had been completed but the job foreman not called to inform me the work had been done. For this they apologized. The roof looks great and you would never know where the patch job had been done. Over all it looks like they did a great job.

When I called them they told me someone could take a look at the gutters without me being there. Plus one for convenience. I was e-mailed the quote on a Thursday and at $330 (Angie's list discount factored in) was the most reasonable I came across. I was told that the gutters needed replacement because of ice-dam damage. I called them up the next day and was told the earliest they could do the job was the Tuesday the next week. Tuesday was earlier than I expected. So plus two there. That rainy weekend I noticed that I had wet spot on my bathroom ceiling telling me I have a leak on my roof. I went into my attic to go look for that leak and found that my plumbing vent boot was ripped and letting water go into my house. I called them up to see if they could add replacing that boot since they were going to be on my roof anyway. They said they could and it would cost another $80. I said okay, hence the total cost of $410. Overall, I was pleased with their work (they didn't leave any trace that anything was done other than a brand new gutter), how quick they got to it, and how we communicated even though I never met anyone in person. If I have problems with the gutters on the front of my house, I'll be sure to give them a call again.

I called to have my gutter attached back to my house. A gentleman called to let me know he would not be able to make it to my home on the day he was scheduled. He let me know, I did not have to be at the home for him to write up an estimate. Well that was the last time I heard from him and that was Tuesday, March 1st. Thank goodness I found someone to do the job!

I would not hesitate to consider them again for the services they provide.
