Since the visit was routine, it took several weeks before they could come out.  The serviceman who came was extremely polite and made a good impression.  Part of the servicing was to make sure the humidifier was working.   He checked out the humidifier and set it up properly.  However, he failed to note that no water was running to the humidifier.  Several weeks later after he left I noticed that the humidifier did not seem to create any humidity, and I called Service Experts to obtain a follow up visit. This time, within a day after I called, a new serviceman came.  In a few minutes he sized up the problem, which was that the  water valve connecting the humidifier to the water heater was too small and probably clogged up.  Since Service Experts do not do plumbing, he advised me to get a plumber, which I did.  Service Experts imposed no charge. (As noted above, I have an annual contract with them.) The plumber came and quickly replaced the valve with a larger one, which solved the problem, and water is now flowing to the humidifier.    As I recall the plumber's charge was about $200.
In short, Service Experts performed in a satisfactory manner but since they did not pick up an important problem they did not perform in an exceptional manner.   I have had Service Experts for many years.  My long term impression is that while they may not be the best company in town, they are quite acceptable.  They are quite pleasant to deal with, and quickly responsive when there is a need for prompt action.  In short, I feel they provide me with satisfactory service and see no reason to change.

It went extremely well. The service technician arrived on time the first day and a few hours early the second day, he fixed the A/C and had it running quickly. He then provided information on how to make sure it did not happen again. Very pleased, excellent service.

When I called to make arrangements to have the thermostat installed there was some confusion between NEST and Service Experts where my records were not transferred.  I had to call a couple of times to get the install appt scheduled.  After Service Experts received my information they were able to come out that day and complete  the install.  Total time was 20 minutes.

...I have lived in this house since 1986; recently we have paid as much as $550 to $600 (per month)  the last few summers for air conditioning that did not cool our house.  I actually purchased a free standing AC unit for our bedroom in the summers.  Service Experts (Peter LoBello) was one of four contractors I interviewed for the job.  Three of the contractors came in price very close to Service Masters; one company wanted over $18,000 for their top of the line unit.  I decided to go with Service Experts.  The unit installed is the Lenniox XC-21 air conditioner with the Lennox 506274-01 air handler.  That is the best from Lennox, you can see on the website.  Everything about the job went as presented.  Service Experts uses Randel Hubbard for their duct work.  He totally re-engineered the setup of our system.  Our old system was not getting enough return air and many of the delivery ducts were too small.   His crew is extremely professional and they know their business.  Everything is now insulated and wrapped as it should be in an attic system.  Service Master's crew came after the ductwork was completed.  Again their crew did an outstanding job regarding placement of the outside unit to all the wiring and setup that is involved.  This was a three day job.  Each day whoever was working cleaned up at the end of the day.The mechanics all gave me tips about saving energy.  My old system was installed before I bought the house; it was in violation of code.  Nothing was insulated (at all!) and the duct work was actually apart in a number of places blowing air into the attic. Wish I could remember the name of the company that inspected the property before I bought it!  During the process I have called Pete LoBello with questions several times.  He has responded very quickly and professionally.  I have nothing more to say except I am one extremely pleased customer.  I look forward to doing my service business with this company.

.I have used Service Expert Heating & Air Conditioning for twenty five years. They are an excellent company and very accommodating.  I have them perform annual checkups on my heating and cooling system. If a small part needs replacing, they will replace it free of charge. I highly recommend them.

They came, diagnosed the problem as one needing a very expensive repair, and then attempted to sell us additional equipment, service plans etc.  We decided to seek a second opinion.  They were wrong about the problem - the needed repair involved simply replacing a switch.  They seemed much more interested in marketing products than in providing reasonable and professional service.

They charged me too much for the service.  My biggest concern was the price.  I figured out the issue before they came, which was a blown capacitor.  He was able to verify that and replace it.  He was here for less than 30 minutes i.e. the time he showed up to the time he left.  The part costs only $40; so it means they charged $10 a minute, even if I remove the $40 up charge for coming out on the weekend.

I signed up for a maintenance service contract on heating and A/C.  I choose them because previous owners (of recently purchased townhouse) had used them and because they had good reports on Angie's list. I was and am disappointed in the service.  It seemed very superficial and the service agent seemed more interested in selling a new HVAC system than actually doing any service. Granted the system is old and needs to be replaced.

I am from Chicago and have an outstanding HVAC service provider there. Maybe things are different in Montgomery county Maryland but I consider the service Parker-Pearce provided as worthless.  They did not even hose off the outside A/C unit or replace the air filer. The guy laughed when I asked about filter replacement and said they couldn't stock everyone's specific filter. Yet air-rite service in Chicago replaced my filter every visit when I lived in Chicago. I don't know how they can do this in Chicago, a much larger and more diverse community than Rockville. Since they had previously serviced my house (prior owners) for several years, it seems like it would be easy to know which filter to bring out.  It is unfortunate that I signed up for a whole year service contract with this company as I do not feel that they offer much. I do not recommend. Indeed I am not even sure I will utilize them for the fall/winter service that I have already paid for.

It is now Nov 2013 and this company continues to call me several times a day. I never answer their calls because I want nothing to do with them. I have blocked their number yet they continue to call. I would avoid this contractor at all costs and if you do business with them, I would not give them your phone number.

Work performed was good, problem was fixed after about a week during mid-June. After tech came out for diagnostic and gave estimated day to return for repair, the day came and went and it was difficult getting response from company about estimated service date, and had to call them back repeatedly to get answers after being told they would contact me. One day the phone lines did not work for over 4 hours - I kept calling, they would answer but were not be able to hear me. Very annoying. Company reps & dispatch not great service. Service tech was very nice and professional, performed good work.

It took them six visits out here to accomplish what I wanted. The first three people they sent out were not qualified to work on an oil burner in spite of my telling them that I had an oil burner. The fourth person who was qualified said that they were not servicing oil burners at this time of the year. They sent out a fifth guy who did not have the right equipment and the sixth guy finally did. I finally got the oil burner serviced at a fair price but the hassle that I had to go through to get it really wasn’t worthwhile. My plan is to convert my oil burner to natural gas so that I don't have this problem. The price that I paid them was okay but the real cost was at least three afternoons of work that I missed to meet them here so that they could not leave the work. The last guy who came over and actually serviced it was the only one who apologized for all the trouble that it took to get them out here. His name is Lukas. I started calling them in March to have the servicing done and the first three people came out in April-June. The fourth guy came in June and he was the one who told me that they were not servicing oil burners at that time and did not know why I had scheduled it. I had only called the company and they had scheduled it. It was finally serviced in September 2010 and it became basically a six-month process to get the furnace serviced. I felt that the company is not customer-friendly or service-oriented.

They were very good. One guy kept more towards the machine. The other one talked to me and gave the pamphlet told me other things. I have a contract with them for air conditioning and heating. They call me every six months to make sure everything is okay. The last guy, who came for the heating, didn't mention anything about the duct. But they mentioned about the duct. They had a time frame between eight and nine, and they were here at eight. They were punctual. They came and finished the work within forty five minutes. I would use them in the future.
