It was typical mattress showroom scenario. But, it was fine. Never know whether you got a good price or not, but the quality was good and there was not a and quot;lotand quot; of pressure to buy. Salesman seemed knowledgeable about different types of mattresses and we went with his recommendation. It was not the most expensive, nor the least expensive mattress in the store. Overall, I was satisfied with the experience and would likely shop there again.

It went ok. I just think that there might have been other places out there that may have had a better price.

We purchased a top-of-the-line Stearns and Foster firm mattress Feb 2011. We chose this store since it had a 60 day satisfaction guarantee. It was delivered as promised. The first mattress delivered had a buckle in the top foam layer. It was not repairable, so we rejected delivery and requested replacement. The manager agreed to replace it and delivery of replacement was in a few days. No complaints on the delivery service or manager handling situation.

By the fall of 2011, about 6 months later, our premium mattress had developed and quot;body impressionsand quot;. This particular mattress is mostly springs with only a couple inches of foam. It is very firm. The cheap foam had collapsed and we have been laying on springs since. We are both of a tall/thin build and are fairly young but we have been waking up with sore backs and necks for the last 6 months. That's what happens when you sleep on hard coils.

I contacted my sales rep at this location. SR told me how to activate my warranty with Sealy (who now owns Sand F). I try to contact Sealy regarding the warranty. You can't talk to a live person. You have to submit your warranty according to the instructions on their website. You have to pay for inspection of the mattress by their personnel and you have to pay for delivery of the new one. So, I'm going through this process and I find out that my mattress must have indentations at least 1-1/2and quot; deep with no pressure on the mattress. Of course, I measure to find that mine are only 1/2and quot; deep. So, we keep sleeping on it. It's not that bad if it's not bad enough to be replaced, right? Well, recently it got so bad that I purchased a $500 2and quot; natural latex foam topper from a reputable store on the internet, Habitat Furnishings. It has eased the pain but doesn't help the sagging. We are basically stuck with this mattress since it's not bad enough to be replaced (according to Sealy). Mattress Discounters offers no help. I'm out $2300 for a mattress I slept on for a year.

So, is it appropriate for me to complain about the store? Yes, upon further conversation, my sales rep owns this mattress and knows it's a piece of junk. Admittedly, all no-flip mattress models on the market are cheaply made. So that's it. You sold me a piece of junk. At least The Back Store across the street stopped selling Sleep Number beds due to warranty issues. If you know the product has a problem, why do you continue to sell it?

We shopped at several stores, and this store gave us the best price by far. The salesman was knowledgable and helpful, and the set was delivered the next day exactly as promised and exactly on time. The delivery people took away the old mattress to be recycled (for which we paid $15). We are very happy with the product and the service.
