Second time using JW Home Improvement. Great representation by owner Jesse during initial estimate. Listened to what we wanted done and offered suggestions on how to handle efficiently. Scheduling was a breeze. The crew (Ramond, Thomas, and Denys) were timely, knowledgeable, professional, and a pleasure to work with. Projects (foam board insulation in basement ceilings and walls; laying flooring in bathroom, installing new toilet, replacing damaged wood panels and added reinforced flooring of our outdoor shed, and a few odds and ends) were completed in less time than estimated. Enjoyed seeing the crew each day. Easy communication with Doug for final payment. Would definitely hire again (and will). Many thanks for another job well done.

Thomas and Apolo were great. They showed up on time, were respectful, asked questions to clarify project requirements and kept their work areas clean/cleaned post project. They did a great job on putting together a quality product. JW Home Improvement is a tad bit pricier and I'm sure you could get cheaper quotes but the extra expense is worth it if you want quality and great customer service.

Excellent. Luis and Cesar did a great job. They arrived on time and went right to work. The completed the jobs well and early. I am satisfied and will use this company again. I have used this company on several previous projects with great outcomes.

Not well -- I have had JW do some work in the past and they were great. I got a special on angies for 4 hours of work and paid for it through angies. JW sent out their handyman -- Justin -- and he worked for me for the allotted 4 hours doing minor things, such as hanging curtain rods, changing outlets, etc. within that 4 hour window. I supplied all the materials. That has now changed even when you get a 4 hour special. they send out either Josh or Jessie to review what is to be done. I don't like either one of them and find their review of what I need done superfulous and unwanted. I just want someone to come out for the 4 hours and do what they can during that timeframe -- but NO, Jessie or Josh have to step in and try and upsell me or say that the handyman can't do this or that during the timeframe. I am so disappointed because Justin is great and I loved working with him but I will not tolerate Jessie and Josh trying to push me around. I will find another handyman.

Wow! We’ve worked with JW before and as before the work is excellent. We had Alfredo and Juan the first two days, the a third man named Juan on day three. The weather was simply atrocious but they powered right through! Courteous, easy to work with - great experience. The office team is also excellent. A terrible repeat experience. The work is decent when they actually show up and are available. After being a repeat customer for years, they completely took our loyalty for granted. Scheduling and price estimates are a nightmare. Angie’s List is a big place. Save your money and time by skipping JW Home Improvement.

We had used JW on a prior job and while not cheap they were outstanding. Our experience on this job was opposite (messy, overcharged, rude and failing to complete work). It was simple - insulate the doors to the house, fix a fan, install a couple of overhead lights. I paid a large down payment of about $1984 based on an estimate range of $1984 to $2884 depending on level of effort for 2 people, two days worst case (It was explained that if the work took 1.5 days for the two of them the cost was $1984, which I had paid, if it was less, they would credit). The day they were scheduled they showed up on time - a more seasoned worker, and a younger fellow. Both pleasant. They began work, but the seasoned worker left midway through the first day and never returned. As a result they did not finish the job and there were messes I discovered after they left- they left paint drips along the basement staircase onto my tiled floor, rusted nails and bent flashings on the deck and stair. There were still moldings and flashings that needed to be replaced on the exteriors of the doors, the screen on the fan mount they installed popped open that evening, and i couldnt close it, and they left debris on driveway -(later picked up), as consequence my wife punctured her left front tire with a nail from that debris pile. She had to take off work and we had to purchase a new front tire for $82 because it could not be repaired due to the location of the puncture. I sent a detailed email and my wife sent photos of the debris they left, and they did not respond i called and they said "you can clean the paint drips easily off the stairs", but agreed to send a worker to make the repairs, and they never showed. I called again and we tried to reschedule and they said "let me get back to you" - they never did, or at least did not try hard enough. The original job was estimated for 2 people, 1.5 days with 2 full days being the max. Billing called my wife demanding us to pay for the remaining costs (for two people based on original estimate), she pointed out that the job wasnt complete, they turned us to dispatcher who told us any "repairs" to the work would be an additional fee, and my wife left the call, pointing out that we had already paid $1900 for the work, based on a 1.5 minimum - 2.0 day job for two people, and the additional charges were based on a 2 day price for two people. After that we lost contact, and decided to throw in the towel. Just as the holidays are beginning we received an charge for over $900, making the total cost $2884 (the highest end of the estimate - 2 people, 2 days or 4 days work, whereas we actually had 2.5 to 2.75 days of actual work) for some very basic work, We are disputing the charge. I have stage 4 pancreatic cancer. My health is broken, my wife is working full time and trying to keep our family afloat. This has been a terrible stress to my family. Again, they had done a great job earlier, on a roof leak. This time I found their dispatcher to be completely unsympathetic to our situation, and their response to be incredibly disappointing, I am paying an incredible $2800 for work I could do if my health were better, and my wife and I have spent at least 8 hours trying to unscrew their actions. I find that taking advantage of sick, older people is the worst thing a vendor can do, and it happens all the time - i just never thought it would be us. Clearly the company can do great work, but they may risk something like this.

The work was superior in quality. The technician was excellent, professional and left the property immaculate. The estimator was also very good and professional and the phone staff were polite, helpful and thorough.

I submitted a request. They called me within 24 hours to come out and provide an estimate. Clint came out to provide the estimate and took the time to explain everything. We scheduled the work to begin 2 days later. Alberto sent me a text message to let me know he was about 30 minutes away. He arrived on time to perform the services. Alberto and Javier fixed everything and cleaned up after themselves. The work area was spotless. I plan to hire them again for some additional work.

Great! Workers came on time and not only did a beautiful job, but stacked up the refuse discreetly and picked it up early the next day with no traces left. Quality work.

Company charges $50 for estimate -- good toward cost of job if you choose them. I chose not to pay for an estimate and will look elsewhere. The "C" rating and hire again "no" response are not relevant -- I just could not submit the review without checking something.

Tough job in a confined space but precisely and professionally completed in estimated time. Thorough clean-up done at end of each day, and great care taken to avoid tracking-in or damaging home.
