About us
House With A Heart (HWAH) offers private boarding for friendly dogs. Your pet will stay in a home environment with a private entrance. Large fenced-in fields are used to exercise the dogs. We have doggie playgrounds in 2 of the fenced-in yards. Your pet will receive personal care with LOTS of time outside. Boarding Fee: All fees collected from boarding are used exclusively for the sanctuary residents' food and medical needs. The fee is $35 per day -- $15 of the fee is considered a charitable donation. You will receive a receipt for tax purposes. Boarding charges begin the first day that your pet is in our care.

As for the boarding facility, Sher has a limited number of boarding spaces in her home with much larger rooms/kennels than one typically finds in standard boarding facilities. Her love and kindness to the boarders is so evident, and while leaving our dogs is always difficult for us, we never, ever worry about their well-being. There are always volunteers on hand, and the dogs have outdoor play time throughout the day. While the cost may be a tiny bit higher than other places (not even sure about that), a portion of the boarding fees is tax deductible, as the proceeds go to support her amazing rescue work.
The only difficult part I have leaving this review is that HWAH will become so popular, we may find it more difficult to make a reservation ;-). However, the work Sher does and the kindness she exhibits FAR outweighs my little concern! I can't say enough wonderful things about Sher and House With A Heart, but you won't ever be sorry using this facility.
