At first I sent an email to Great Beginnings explaining what happened. No one responded. I then called and spoke witha live person who apologized that no one responded and put me through to another voicemail. I had to leave two messages at this voicemail before someone called me back and was then instructed to send email pictures of the broken dresser. I did so and was promised a warranty replacement. This furniture was months old and cost about $3,000 so I of course expected a prompt replacement. I was given a time frame for the new replacement to arrive but the deadline came and past with no replacement. i followed up AGAIN via email and was given a new date. This date came and passed and no delivery was made. I followed up again and at this point, the person I had been emailing didn't even seem to remember my problem (she coudn't remember the brand and color of my furniture) so I doubt it was ever even on order. Fast forward 5 MONTHS and 25 emails in our chain and I still have NO replacement. Today I called the department again and it went straight to voicemail with the voicemail instructing me to email. I am over the top frustrated by Great Beginnings. They clearly do not stand by their defective products. It is unsafe for me to continue to sue a broken dresser but they are too disorganized or lazy to address their shortcomings. Finally I called the store and demanded to speak with a manager who was apologetic and got a repalcement shipped to me shortly. But, it should not have had to be that complicated. WARNING-- DO NOT BUY HERE... EVER!!!
Description of Work: We ordered a set of high quality, expensive baby furniture for our daughter. Set included crib, dresser and night stand. A few months into owning the set, the dresser spontaneously cracked between the top drawers. This dresser also functions as a changing table so very unsafe for our infant daughter to be "sitting" on. I followed up immediately with Great Beginnings for advice.

We went to Great Beginnings based on the store and the furniture manufacturer's reputation. The 3 pieces were delivered the third week in December. Two of the pieces were fine, but one of the dressers has a deep gouge in the leg. The delivery crew took pictures of the damage and said someone would contact us. After a few days, no one did so my husband called and was told the store was still waiting on the photos to determine if we should get a new dresser or if it could be repaired.We had two more followup calls with the store since then and they keep telling us the same thing. On January 3rd I called the store again and left a message, offering to send our own pictures if it would expedite the process. No response came. Two days later, I left a message for the store manager outlining our problem. More than 24 hours later, there's still no response. Needless to say, we are frustrated by the store's lack of response and action to resolve the issue. Update: We finally got the replacement piece of furniture at the end of February, a full two months after the original delivery date. But heard nothing else from the store. No apology, no coupon for a future purchase, nothing. We understand that things can happen and it may take a while to resolve the problem, but better communication and perhaps a followup apology could have gone a long way in keeping us future customers.
Description of Work: We ordered a crib, two dressers, and a mattress from Great Beginnings in early October. The sales process went fine and we were told it would be 10-12 weeks before the furniture would come in.

Great sales staff - awesome selection. Advice and recommendations superior to anywhere else we shopped. It is not close to our home, but we're willing to drive the extra distance just to but there. Great experience - strongly recommended
