I had to get somebody else to do it, after they had done it.

I was very pleased with the roof inspection from technician Howard Shires and with Amanda who scheduled the appointment and explained everything that would be done at up this appointment. Howard arrived timely and went right to work inspecting the roof inside and out to find the source of a leak that appeared after a huge snow storm. Problem found. He also gave me good information about replacing my attic fan. He spent a good amount of time inspecting everything about my roof. I appreciated the time he took to review the pictures he took and to explain everything to me. When I do have any additional work to be done, they will be the first company I call.

The provider arrived on time, explained the process and got to work immediately. Cleaning was handled with a leaf blower and manual cleaning rather than water, which I felt was a better and much less messy way to handle the job. Afterwards I was provided with a review of all work done, recommendations for potential improvements and a roof inspection report. The provider reviewed teh report with me and arranged for a followup by phone. There was no pressure, just good info and a needed job well done.

$149 Roof tune up $39.00 Attic Inspection, Plus an Insulation and Ventilation Analysis Howard was very helpful. He assessed the attic and insulation noticing areas that needed more insulation. He also went on the roof and did an assessment of the roof. He took pictures of everything that was a concern, and provided me a checkoff sheet/inspection report of everything that was good or was a concern. Although I don't have any leaks, he pointed out a number of potential leak areas. Because of the assessment, I decided to purchase the roof tune-up. After fixing the potential problems, he took pictures of everything he did. Howard told me that he will have them send me the pictures of the before and after work so I can show the work to my wife. I?ve had this house for six years now, and I always thought the roof had two layers of shingles but he told me that there was only one layer. He also said that the roof should be good for another ten to fifteen years. I did put a down payment on the Rhino gutter guards which will cost me an additional $1,168 and they will schedule another day for this group to do the work. He said the one I have are ineffective and he noticed a puddle on the roof that could not be fixed unless the gutter guard was removed. I did realize in the past that when I have a heavy rain the water doesn?t necessary travel down the gutter, but off the roof.

Mr. Jeff arrived early to perform the service. He introduced himself and wanted to get started on the roof inspection which I declined. He went to work inspecting and cleaning the gutters on the front of the home. Once completed he moved to the back of the home to inspect and clean the gutters. Once finished Mr. Jeff reported back about the shape of the gutters. After I inquired, he recommended replacing the rear gutters. I declined at this time. He gave me the inspection report and his business card and was on his way.

The contractor Howard Shires was extremely professional. He did not rush the consultation or inspection. He took the time to deliver the results of his inspection which he thoroughly explained. He gave options of ways to resolve the issues. I was totally satisfied with the service rendered, and plan to use this company for needed repairs. I will also keep them in mind when others may need a GREAT Roofing a company. Thanks again to the Awesome Roof Technocian... Howard Shires. Even the staff scheduling and placing reminder calls were Awesome.

Everything was fine with this work. Marc Burkett was the worker and he arrived within given time window. He performed roof/gutter inspection and cleaned gutters where necessary. He was friendly and very knowledgeable about his work. I would hire this company again.

I would use American Home Contractors again without hesitation. I was impressed by the first phone call with a very polite service coordinator. She was pleasant and scheduling service was very easy. Two roof technicians were sent for my service: Jonathan Ross and Mark Burkett. They were amazing! I have had other roof contractors from other companies come out and the crew from American Home Contractors far exceeded any service I received from other companies. Jonathan spent extra time in my attic investigating a leak. He took pictures and communicated exactly what was needed to fix the roof leak. On the exterior, Mark was able to immediately identify another area of concern. He spotted this area that other companies failed to identify. Given the professionalism of these two roof technicians and the very pleasant and organized front office, I will use this company again.

Very professional. Performed work efficiently. Technician provided recommendations for additional gutter and down spout improvements to help drainage if needed.

The inspection went went very well. Mr Howard Shires of American Home Contractors arrived within minutes of the scheduled time and got to work inspecting the attic and exterior of my house. He provided a detailed analysis of the type and condition of the insulation within my attic, and the structure and roofing materials. He explained, within laymen's terms, the deficiencies that existed and made recommendations of what type of improvements I could make. He also made clear the benefits of various types of insulation and roof improvements that would extend and enhance the comfort of my home.I felt as though I was benefiting from his 26 years of experience. This was an excellent value for the cost of this service.

Jeff was on time and with lots of information all i needed was a little bit of TLC and the job was done thanks Jeff I hope I don't need you again lol but If i do you'll be the first number I call

Howard came to my appointment on time and worked quickly and thoroughly. He provided pictures of what needed to repaired and also after he fixed the issue. Very friendly and knowledgeable.

Marc Burkett did a terrific job diagnosing the source of our basement water infiltration job -- a downspout that was apparently leaking at a critical ground-level juncture. He managed to squeeze himself in behind our air conditioner compressor unit, and raised/re-positioned the downspout to avoid the issue. He also re-braced another downspout that was loose in the alley driveway next to our home.

Marc Burkett was the technician and he did a great job. He identified some trouble areas around some vent pipes and around the gutters on the front porch that need attention and took the proper steps to prevent leaks and damage in the future.

Looked at problems we were having in our attic regarding ventilation and exhaust vents, and also identified some drip-edge gaps due to framing of the house... places where critters could get into the attic. Identified several areas that needed work, including several exhaust pipes where leaking was about to become a problem. Jeff was informative and helpful, arrived early for the appointment, and explained what did and didn't need to be done -- with plenty of photos. We appreciated his great service.

The company got in touch with me right away to schedule this work. They were accommodating about my schedule. Mark showed up right on time. He inspected the problem area, and then went to work. First he cleared piles of leaves from the roof and surrounding gutters, and cleaned up that mess from my deck. Then he caulked some seams around a furnace vent, and explained how that could be the cause of the leak. He then showed me in detail that the flat roof is deteriorated to the point that it probably needs to be replaced. It is buckled in many places. I knew that, since it has probably not been replaced for 20 years or so. We looked at other parts of the roof, and saw what looks like areas of damaged shingles on the newer parts of the roof. Mark was able to get some pictures, so that I could go back to that contractor for repairs on that 5 year old roof. Mark was very professional, respectful, knowledgeable and was able to show me visually and with good explanation what was going on. It was a pleasure to have him work on the roof, even though the news is not great!

It went very well. Howard took pictures of roof and attic. Provided good information and advice. Very satisfied.

There was a leak into an upstairs bathroom ceiling. Not sure if it was coming from the roof or the gutter. Jeff was efficient in identifying the source of the leak and repairing the leak. He also addressed some other questions I had about the roof and was very knowledgeable. Will be calling American Home Contractors again if another issue arises.

Everything went well! Howard made minor repairs that were needed, cleaned gutters as indicated, and offered helpful advice for me to follow to maintain a healthy roof and gutter system. I was very pleased with not only his level of detail and expertise, but also his friendly and professional nature. I would recommend him and AHC to anyone, and will definitely continue to work with them.

The office contact was excellent. Very friendly. Called to verify appointment the night before. Thomas came to do the estimate. He was on time friendly and knowledgeable. He gave us a good price on Saturday and the skylights were installed three days later on Tuesday. Definitely would use them again.

The agent, Marc B, was courteous, polite, professional, informative and skilled.

The technician who came, Marc, let me know he was running late, which I appreciated. When he arrived, he answered my questions and quickly got to work. HOWEVER: I have an issue with the "credit" that I purchased. When Marc arrived, I was informed that the credit could only be applied to projects costing $2500 or more. This was the first time I heard of such a limit--it was NOT listed on the Angie's list deal, nor is it on the similar deal listed on American Home Contractors website. I am very disappointed. This credit was definitely a reason I purchased this deal and had I known about the restrictions for use of the credit, I likely would not have purchased it. I will be contacting the company and Angie's List regarding this. Beware!

The technician discussed options with me. And it was decided to do nothing

I had to call the company to schedule the big deal service. They did not reach out to me like some of the other providers had, but once I called the office Amanda took great care of me. The service call was scheduled for 4 days out and they followed up well to confirm the appointment. I felt like they cared about my experience, even calling me the day before to tell me the name of the tech who would be coming to the house, Howard. Howard was awesome. He spent time doing a thorough inspection and cleaned out several gutters that were clogged. He inspected the roof through the attic to identify any potential issues and made a few recommendations. He was honest and knowledgeable, and I was happy to learn that our roof was in good shape and required no major repairs. Would absolutely use this company again and highly recommend them!!

Photograph roof from inside and out. Evaluate where the weak spots were that needed repair and or replacing. Detailed check list of worked before with before and after photos. Flashing caulked, rubber gaskets replaced and re-caulked. Bought us some more time before replacing the entire roof.
