It was alright. I ended up doing some more work. I didn't know exactly what they are about to do, and when they were here, I had to finish the job. If I am asked if I would do the job, I would say that I would do it because it is maintenance, but I would not do it with the same company because they charge a little bit more than it should be, and I think I can get a better rate at another company. I don't see a good part. I didn't have that much of a good experience with the big deal that I bought with the company. I can get the same service at a more reasonable price. The good part is that what they did worked. If I had known what they were going to do, I would have gone to another company. If I would have asked another company to give me an estimate, they would have given me a better price. I told him to get it done because he was doing. He took 10 or 15 minutes.

I purchased a deal though Angies List for roof inspection. I also asked if someone would be able to reattach a loose piece of siding on the rear of my home at extra cost. I was told that would be fine. The guy shows up and its raining. He says it's not safe and I understand that. I ask if he can do the the attic inspection that is included with the deal. He says he can tell there is no leaking from looking at the outside. I asked if he can verify that by going into attic. He doesn't. He says he will reschedule. I say OK. I get a follow up call from the office. I tell them that I took a day off for nothing. She calls the inspector. He calls me back and says he will be back. He finally checks the attic and says there are no leaks. He tells me I need a new roof (I knew that) and new siding. He does not reattach it though. He then tells me I need the new deal with two people for double the cost but someone can reattach the siding when its not raining. I call the office. I tell her what happened. I decline the new offer of two people to inspect the roof. No leaks in attic so I am OK...today. I then tell her that I still need the siding reattached that we spoken about. She puts me on hold. She then informs me that I can purchase the new deal for siding! I will not use this company again. I paid for what I could have gotten if I had asked for a free roof estimate. The deal is not a deal.

Johnathon our technician was prompt and very professional. Our gutters were long overdue for a cleaning. He worked quickly and did a great job cleaning up all the mess we let accumulate. We will be using their services again!

Marc called to let me know he was going to be 8min late. I was surprised but thought it was great that he was courtsey and valued our time. He was fast and gave us details about the roof .On the phone he explained that due to the drizzling rain, we may have to wait if the its to wet because the seal wouldnt stick. He was very professional and informative. He took time to explain the recommendations and why it was needed. Great service

The problem was they didn't get the work done until June 19 because of the weather. I have some questions on it and he didn't show back up until today. Therefore, it wasn't finished until today. The salesperson was terrific and installation was good.

Howard Shires arrived at the house and did a great job collecting information about a strange problem I was having with a loud noise in my gutter system. Although it was a problem out of the ordinary he continued to consider it and tested the system to determine that a downspout although working well was causing a loud water noise outside my son's bedroom(causing our sleepless nights). He "Magyvered" a great idea to insulate the inside of the gutter to decrease the noise through the system. Instant improvement in noise control. He was kind and courteous during the visit. Took pictures of the roof and spots not easily seen and gave me a working plan of how to deal with the concerns he had to the structure and what to expect looking into the future for work on our home. When he left I was confident in the work he had done and in my plan moving forward for the care of the exterior of the home. I would definitely recommend this company to others and will use them again in the future.

The company was extremely professional from the time I called to schedule, the reminder call, as well as on the service date. Howard was very pleasant and helpful. Am happy with the work performed as well as the recommendations for future work. Would certainly use again.

The job started around August of 2015. A couple months ago I had someone come out to my residence to do some insulation work. I was advised that this service provider who installed the gutters damaged the shingles of my roof. I then had a roofer come out to do an inspection and was told that American Home Contractors Inc damaged the drip edge in replacing the shingles as well as the shingles themselves. I called the service provider and was told that they didn't damage my shingles so I went ahead and called another roofer. They told me that the shingles were indeed damaged and most likely replaced by American Home Contractors Inc because the shingles were a different color than the rest of my roof. The companies who came out to inspect my roof took photos to show me the damage. They also cut off the drainage pipe to the sump pump and I had to call a supervisor to come out and fix it. I was promised that they were going to install a drainage pipe on the bottom of the downspouts and they didn't but they did come back out and complete that task. When I called them about it recently they still claiming that they didn't cause those damages.

This was an excellent package. Jonathan arrived early. He was every courteous, thorough and quite informative. He kept us abreast of what he was seeing throughout the entire process. In addition, he showed before and after photos where repairs were made. The office will email those photos to us later. I will definitely use AHC in the future for other projects that we have in mind and will recommend AHC to family, friends and neighbors.

After getting three estimates this company was actually my first choice. Since the estimates came in a little high, my insurance company asked for a more specific breakdown of pricing. Every other company provided it with no questions asked. This one declined to do so. In the end we decided to upgrade to a 3-D Architectural Roof. Our roof looks great. My neighbor decided to purchase a new roof from the same company after seeing ours. Though we did not go with American Home. I think they could have done a good job. They were the highest of all the estimates, but their warranty was one of the best. So, I would have been willing to pay the difference for the quality. They just need to be more understandable and responsive to customer requests.

He went to our roof three time during the inspection. Between them, he showed the photos before and after what he has done and sealed and repaired which is pretty nice actually. So we knew the jobs he had done and also involved in the process. It's our routine roof inspection, he gave us some genuine suggestions and we can think about it. We are satisfied with and appreciated his service.

Howard Shires actually arrived early for his appointment which worked out perfect. After I showed him the shingles that had fallen off the roof, he first carefully inspected the attic and took photos which included those showing the large exposed opening at the top of the roof. He then went up on the roof and replaced the missing shingles. Turns out these same shingles had been improperly installed less than 2 years earlier by another roofing company. Howard installed the new and properly fitting shingles, brought the old ones down for me to see, and then patiently explained what had happened. The repair he'd provided comes with a lifetime warranty. The entire inspection, repair and teaching me about roofing experience lasted under an hour. I will get the photos Howard took from the AHC home office for my files. Overall great experience.

Marc was timely and professional. He explained everything he was doing and why he was doing it. When the cleaning and inspection were finished, he thoroughly went over the report with me. He even helped me set up a follow-up appointment for our next project. Setting up my initial appointment was easy. I received a reminder phone call and a confirmation email. Everyone I worked with was courteous. I highly recommend American Home Contractors!

We were very happy and satisfied with the work Howard did as well as the experience working with American Home Contractors. We have a three story townhouse. A company we used several years ago for gutter cleaning was reluctant to follow through after the purchase of an Angies List deal once they learned the house was three stories. Howard came prepared with appropriate ladders. American Home Contractors made an appointment on the first phone call and then called and emailed a few days before the appointment to confirm. Howard arrived on time.

This was my first experience with American Home Contractors and it was great. We got a nice reminder call a few days prior letting us know the name of the technician that would be out to service our gutters. Out technician, Howard, was actually early and got right to work. Our attic is not an easy one to access, but Howard did a great inspection and provided plenty of pictures to show what was going on up there. He also provided many pictures of our roof, highlighting all sorts of issues we've been completely oblivious to. He gave us a lot of honest feedback about the condition of our home. He did a fantastic job with the gutter cleaning, providing both before and after pictures of his work. What was most impressive was that he took a trash bag up with him and bagged all the debris instead of having it litter our bushes and deck. Big thumbs up for that! Thank you. Before he left, he went through a thorough check list of what was good and what needed work, offering clear explanations along the way. He was both friendly and professional and I'd certainly recommend to friends and family.

Marc arrived on time and quickly assessed our gutter problems. Repairs were completed efficiently and he identified further work that should be done to ensure no future problems.

I had the Roof Tune Up scheduled for 8am and Stephen arrived at 8am to perform the work. He was very polite and professional. He explained everything that was included with my purchase and what he would be doing. He checked the attic first and let me know how it looked, then checked out the roof and gutters and told me what all he needed to up there. He got his things from his truck and went back up to complete the job. I purchased this due to our roof being fairly new, but we had a small leak after the blizzard this past winter. Stephen was able to tell me the area on the roof that caused the leak and fix the problem so it would not happen again. I appreciated his explanation of each step and friendly attitude performing his job.

It went extremely well. Howard has 27 years of experience with roofing and was very pleasant, personable, patient at what and why the problems were happening and very thorough in his examination. He was very knowledgable about various leaks. He showed me the before and after pictures of the results of his examination and repairs. He went over the results of his examination and provided a copy of the inspection report which included the attic, roof, gutter, windows, and siding/sofit. I would call Howard again if I had any other issues--he was friendly and a pleasure.

I signed the contract and faxed it along with a $500 coupon provided to me by a company roof inspector on JuneMade second inquiry about start of job after leaving $1000 deposit and was told that someone would get back to me. Later the same day, I was advised that the company dispatched a tech to review material requirements onsite on no one was home. I advised them that this was rental property and no one should have been dispatched without my prior authorization. I agreed to notify the tenant that someone would be on the roof, however, I specially requested 48-hours notification before any work was to begin. The reception assured me twice that no work would start on the roof replacement without the 48-hour notification. I shared that information with the tenant. The following morning, I received a voice-mail message from another company rep that the crew was onsite ready to start the replacement work on no one was home. They requested to know if it was ok to start work even though they knew I had requested 48 hours advanced notice. I called that rep back around 9:00 AM and told him to stop any and all work, that no one shold have been dispatched without my prior notification and authorization. He said they would stop. I then called a company official and told them how disconcerting it was that my request was totally disregarded and he said they were trying to get ahead of the pending rain. I explained to him that my tenant does not appreciate strangers on the property when she has not been notified of their arrival. I do not appreciate work starting without my authorization to start the work. Again he apologized and told me that the work would stop and any work started would be protected from the rain. Six hours later, my tenant called and said men were working on the roof with torches and she was upset. I called the company rep back and he claimed when we spoke at 9, that he didn't realize how much demolition on the roof had already occurred. After some back and forth, we agreed that the contract should be cancelled and the deposit should be returned. The company owner later and tried to make amends by offering a $400 reduction in the price but refused to accept the $500 coupon I was given by the company roof inspector . After some back and forth, I told him that I wanted my full refund returned because I never authorized any work to start and was appalled that I was just learning the work crew tore off half the roof that day even though I was told no work had started.

Marc was able to arrive earlier and called ahead of time to check if we would be available. He was here right on time.

The experience was great. Marc came out to meet with my tenants. He gave me a thorough report and recommendations, which I thought was very objective. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

I was very happy. Howard did a great job and was very honest. He went out of his way to help me with several issues and gave me cost effective solutions to my problems. I have no complaints and would definitely recommend them. I really value honesty and felt like this company provided that.

Howard came on a Saturday to install my skylight and did a spectacular job. He explained to me exactly what he was going to do and did it in 3 hours. No complaints because Howard is the best at what he does. I will definitely use American Home Contractors again.

My best experience with Angie's list to date (and i've had 5 in the last year). Howard was a true professional - he was punctual and thorough in his communications. He took pictures of everything - explained it all to me and then asked if i had any questions. I had none because he explained it so well. He also commented about other things that he saw in my attic that were a potential concern which he didn't have to do b/c not his line of business. He's going to fix the roof parts that are included in the tune-up and also provide me feedback on skylights that are rotting for future work depending on my budget! Would use this company again in the future for sure - feel like a got a great deal and had a real expert.

Marc Burkett was extremely helpful. He had clearly learned much from his mother and all his life experiences. Marc was the best part of this service.
