Overall it was a good experience. It was easy to book. They do nickle and dime you for a la carte services. I was also a little frustrated because I booked my dog over a month in advance, and they call your vet when you make the booking to make sure your dog is up to date on vaccinations. They emailed me 3 days before boarding, on a Friday, that she needed a vaccine and we could either have them do it or take her to our vet. They left us no time to get it done by our vet, so we had to let them do it. We should have been notified right away. From what I could tell from when I dropped my dog off, it was clean and well taken care of. A dog trainer was the one who took my dog back to the boarding area and he was very pleasant and sweet. My dog was happy and had no issues when we picked him up.

Our five Bichons were groomed and taken care of perfectly. Everyone was super friendly, generous, and professional. The facility looks great and very inviting. I can strongly recommend the place!

We have taken our two dogs there for day camp a couple of times and then did day camp with overnight boarding.  While we obviously didn't see the dogs while they were there, they appear excited to get in the car and go whenever they get a chance.  The staff is extremely friendly and professional.  The facilities are also exquisite.  While it is a little pricey, you definitely get what you pay for, and that is worth it for me.  I have no hesitation to leave my dogs there either for day camp or for boarding and would highly recommend them.

My experience at Greenbriar was exceptional. I was in tears as I watched my elderly cat deteriorate the days after I picked her up from being boarded at another vet clinic. I left her in good health, and a few days later she was sneezing, lethargic, and would no longer eat or drink . My mother called Greenbriar and spoke with Kaitlin who was very sympathetic and understanding. She was able to get us an appointment right away. When I met Dr. Pooya he was very understanding as well, and listened to my concerns. I did not want to leave my cat over night and did not want to put her through a lot of tests. He did not push me to leave her there or to put her through a ton of tests. He suggested blood work and fluids as she was severely dehydrated. He explained everything (her diagnosis, the treatment, my options) very clearly and was obviously extremely knowledgeable. Thankfully, my cat began to show signs of improvement after fluids and an appetite stimulant. I did call Greenbriar a few days later on a Friday late afternoon because my cat was still sounding very congested. Someone did answer, but it was after hours. I left a message, and was pleasantly surprised to receive a phone call from Dr. Pooya about an hour later. I was so appreciative of his personal attention. I have taken my cat back twice since her initial appointment and each time I go to Greenbriar the staff is friendly and Kaitlin still remembers my cat and asks about her. Dr. Pooya and his technicians are always professional and friendly. I am so grateful that we found him.

We had been boarding over Memorial Day weekend for several years with Greenbriar and the service has noticeably decline over the years. We were very pleased in the beginning with our American Bulldog Murphy. He happily would follow staff back to his run. Last year we boarded our 2 year old pit bull Lemmy there. His personality is different so he was reluctant to leave us but I was very disturbed by how frantic he seemed when we picked him up. Murphy was always really happy and calm. They charge extra to give food from home and medications. It is already expensive enough to board there that the extra cost of food was too high. Long story short, he was given food with grains in it which he is allergic to which inflamed his skin and then bathed. Within a day of being home he had a terrible skin infection that looked like hives over his whole body which required steroids and antibiotics to fix. We will be taking our business elsewhere in the future

I like the puppy cut that they give him. They specialized in breed cutting which I really like. Scheduling is just fine however I do think they are slightly expensive but I travel over 40 miles just to see them since I like them so much. It is worth the travel.

I've been using them for a year and a half. I like the services they have available. They are available to drop my dogs off in the morning and have them do doggy day camp. And then when it is time I take them in for their annual physical. Then they are available to pick them up after work. They are expensive.

They have a behaviorist who gets to know your dog, and matches him with a suitable day camp group. In this way he has regular friends to play with every time he goes. He stays 2-3 times per year and enjoys it, and they love him.

I moved my boxer to Greenbriar one year ago and I've been so happy with their service! The vet experience is always pleasant. Waiting time is minimal and I'm moved to an exam room instantly so there's no waiting in the open area while the dogs/cats/etc go crazy. In addition, I've used their grooming services which are exceptional. I'm so happy I made the switch and I'm sure my handsome boxer feels the same!

Our dog, a lab who is 5, was limping so we brought him in to see what was wrong. The original appointment was fine. The doctor, a female, was great and very sweet. She said that he had damage to his cruciate ligament in his knee and she thinks he was going to need surgery but she would have the orthopedic doctor take a look. She sent us home with medicine,an anti-inflamatory, to make him more comfortable and there may have been one other. Anyway, we received a call back from the orthopedic doctor the following evening. He said that he looked at the x-rays and that he definitely needed surgery. Not only did he need surgery on his left rear knee but he needed it on his right as well. He very quickly, but in detail, went through the procedure that he would do, saying that they use something that is similar to fishing lines that will be placed in his knee. He also recommended that he had both knees done at the same time. He said that it would be cheaper having both done rather than do them separately. I questioned that thinking about how my poor dog, who is 70 pounds would fair having no use of either of his back legs, much less the discomfort, but he stated that he has a weight limit. Anything more than 80 pounds he doesn't recommend it. We hung up and I still wasn't comfortable with what he said, so I discussed with my husband and we agreed to get a second opinion. We took him for a second opinion and were SO thankful we did. The doctor was so nice, not that the other wasn't, but he wasn't as much of a and quot;salesmanand quot;. He reviewed the x-rays and said that he did need surgery on his left knee but that he didn't need it on his right one. When we told him that the previous doctor was going to do both legs at the same time, he said in a very nice way, as not to say anything bad about anyone, that the ONLY time you should do both legs at the same time is if the dog is totally incapacitated and basically crippled. He also said that the procedure that the other doctor was going to do was a very outdated procedure and would only be a temporary fix that a few years from now we would be right back where we started. He couldn't understand why he would do that instead of the TPLO which is the more modern surgery and is more of a permanent fix.
All I kept thinking about is what if we hadn't gotten a 2nd opinion and what we would have put our poor dog through. I am not the type of person who ever posts anything but I just want others who may be in the same situation to PLEASE get a 2nd opinion. You may find that you stick with the original findings, but at least you will have peace of mind that you did the best thing for your pet. We ended up going with the other doctor and everything went well and we also paid $1000 less than what Greenbriar had told us and it's more of a permanent procedure.

They over fed my puppy by about 3x amount he was supposed to be fed. He was barely able to walk when we arrived to take him home.

This was the first time I used Greenbriar. It delivers the top quality service indicated on its website and validated by positive Angie's List reviews. It's pretty close to Interstate 270 but the setting is wooded and rural. I like the availability of and quot;nature walksand quot; in that environment; my corgi is accustomed to daily outings. The location is a bit of a drive from my home unless I'm traveling NW out of the Washington area but it's worth the extra 15 or 20 minutes at least for longer stays.

The vet asked me a few questions and after each question he would then lecture me on my answer, such as the food I was feeding him was killing my dog (my dog was not ill because of his food), the 1 baby aspirin that i gave my dog for pain overnight until his appt. (he weighs 90lbs) could cause him bleeding ulcers (no he did not have an ulcer). This non-stop lecturing continued everytime the Dr talked to me. My dog is 9 years old and has been seen by this clinic for 4 years and has never been ill (our usual vet left last year).

When the tech reviewed my bill with me he reviewed each item and made it clear what was optional. But, when i got to the check out i had 2 bills. One for $392 for an exam, medicine for his arthritis, medicine for his ears. The second bill was $924 to have his teeth cleaned, a set of X-rays on his one leg, normal labs for anesthesia, med for anesthesia and antibiotics for teeth cleaning. The bill reviewed with me was the $924 making the total $1300. When I picked him up the bill was $200 more.

My dog was staying the night so they could do his teeth cleaning first thing in the am (at no charge), but they decided to place on an IV that he pulled out which is the bill was $200 more. When i got home and reviewed the medicine bottles this is what i found: The arthritis medicine was Glucosamine and Chondroitin (same as humans take), Fish oil (same as what humans take) the bottles had brand names that would not give you a clue to what they are and Rimadyl. The ear medicine was an ear wash ( which I said i had but the doctor said this was special for yeast infections) and ear drops for the infection.

I felt that I had been bamboozled by a fast talking car salesman. I'm not usually so naive, but the buyers remorse i am feeling because I did not stop him to clarify what he was talking about has made us decide we will not be returning to this clinic.

The other staff were respectful and attentive. My lab has been groomed here on average 6 times a year, his groomer treats him like he is his dog. It is a shame that the clinic has resorted to disrespectful sales tactics as their business ethics.
