Creative Metal Design
About us
About Creative Metal Design In an age when mass production is the norm and the average product life is 3 - 5 years, there is a craftsman whose work is built to last a lifetime. Pete Markey, owner of Creative Metal Design, is an artist who creates on a canvas of iron. Using the hammer in place of the brush, he paints three-dimensional works of art that are functional as well as beautiful. Pete is a graduate of Turley Forge in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where he mastered the time-honored, traditional method of shaping metal with hammer and anvil. His expertise ranges from faithful reproductions to his own highly original designs, and his skill with a variety of metals enables him to express many moods and effects. He specializes in custom-built one-of-a-kind pieces, which interpret the visions of individuals who search for the truly distinctive and unique. Handcrafted from start to finish, Pete’s metal designs represent a creative approach to practicality and visual pleasure. Their quality and beauty make them architectural treasures to be used and appreciated for generations.
