Short Hop wasn't the cheapest nor the most expensive bid for our in-town move, but they were the most responsive. We are very happy with our choice. I didn't post a review for their service in the spring so I'll mention it here - they moved a portion of our elderly parent's belongings from her home in Odenton to an assisted living facility in Severna Park. They were professional and accommodating during a short but somewhat chaotic move. They were back yesterday to move the remainder of her home. This wasn't a Point A to Point B move rather we needed items delivered to another residence, GoodWill, a consignment shop and the dump. I regret that I don't remember the driver's name (he was there for both moves!) but he coordinated the load and delivery schedule to maximum efficiency. The crew was about 20 minutes late arriving but made up for it during the move. I would definately recommend the Short Hop team!

Couple of problems we encountered:
(1) Company did not call the day before to confirm the appointment, nor did they respond to my email or phone calls to confirm the appointment. The lack of any communication the day before our move really had us stressed out since they were the company that we thought we had hired! Anyways they finally did call the day of the move and they showed up to do the job. The move went very smoothly when it came to the workers.
(2) Halfway through the move, the workers thought they wouldn't get it done in time for their next job. I had to call the owner to make sure that we actually got our move completed; it seemed that the owner had booked our job and the other job back to back.

Ultimately the company did what they were supposed to do, but the entire process was extremely stressful due to the lack of responsiveness which is why I'm giving them a C rating for that part only. Overall I'm rating this an A experience since we got what we wanted in the timeframe that we needed it to be done... and for a fair price.

I have used them previously, and I would recommend them for moving. They provide good service with prompt arrival. It is reasonably priced.

They did a great job. They showed up on time, treated the furniture kindly, loaded it on their truck, drove it across town, unloaded it, and set it up without incident. I've used them several times and have always been happy with their service and price.

Based on my description of the scope, they gave me a fixed price over the phone, and that's what I paid plus a tip for each of the workers.

The young people who had come had done a great job. They were quick and nothing in our house was damaged. They had looked around the house and given us a flat rate, which was very helpful. Another crew of theirs whose work was finished had come over and helped the crew that was working in our house finish the job at no extra charge. That was really nice, and we had around 15 people in the house. I have recommended Short Hop Moving to other people too.
