Mr Handyman of Greater Columbia and Eldersburg

They were very good. I was very pleased with the guy's professionalism. I did not use them for the job because the company who originally did the work made the repairs. If I did not have someone lined up, I would have used their services.

The service was good and he did a good job. However, I felt it was expensive given the work performed. Other than that, I was pleased with the quality of the service.

Fabulous!  Mr. Handyman was prompt, quick to set the work, prepared with
all necessary supplies, intelligent at problem solving, offered quality
suggestions, executed everything I asked very well.  I am thoroughly
pleased and plan to use him again and have already recommended him on
Facebook to my friends in the neighborhood.  Money well spent.

Needed to do some rescheduling because rainy weather interfered.  They were willing to work with our schedules, and finished work in a timely manner.  They were careful to do the repairs in a way that should prevent future problems of the type we had to deal with.

Even though I thought the rate was a bit high, I figured given such high ratings, I'd try it out, at least to get the initial estimate for $150.  If the estimate is too high, I figured I'd just lose the $150, and lessons learned never to use the company. The appointment was fine and the technician arrived within the hours given.  Unfortunately, I wasn't around but my mom was there to let him in.  I called and talked to the technician, who quoted somewhere between 2.5 to 3 hours for the whole process, and said $40 to $50 of materials is all that he'd need. I said go ahead and do the work, thinking it's a bit high, but compared to $150 that I would lose if I said no, another $150 labor + $40 materials would be worth the risk.  Unfortunately, the entire job took 4 hours and 15 minutes.  In addition, materials ended up costing around $190.  While it seemed he did work those hours, I feel like that he didn't quite deliver up to his initial estimate.  The reason why I went ahead and agreed to this job was b/c he quoted 2.5-3 hours, not 4 hours+ for the service rendered.  If he exceeded this estimate for whatever reason, he should take some responsibility for not charging beyond what he estimated.  I had planned to pay around $300-$400 and ended up paying around $700.  Although I'm told the work done was fine, getting you to commit and jack up the price twice is not something I expected from an Angie's List company.  I don't think I'll ever use this company again and hope that other people are aware of this shady practice.

He was great.

The work was excellent - however it was quite costly.

I employed two handymen for two days to work through a long list of minor repairs (see above). Cornett and Charlie performed the work both days and were superb: Professional, courteous, conscientious, and (most importantly!) highly-skilled. .

Cornett and Charlie arrives on time, stayed until the jobs were done, and communicated well with me about my wishes, about how their work was going, and about their recommendations for possible future work. Their demeanor, communications, and work product were all highly professional and earned my trust and respect.

The quality of the work exceeded my expectations. Work of this high quality takes time to complete, and the hourly rate is not cheap. However, in this case the cost is 100% worth it because the quality of the work is so high. 

Cornett and Charlie cleaned up well after themselves, both inside and outside, and were a pleasure to work with. I will definitely use this firm again, and I would be happy to receive additional service from these two professionals.

The handyman checked the sliding glass door and an entry door and gave me estimates on both of those which I appreciated. The job was okay, but I thought it was a little high. I took advantage of Angie’s List which said that it would be $31 for at least 2 hours. It didn’t take any time at all for checking the doors. However, it took him a long time for the window. It took him about an hour and a half. I was already paying over $150 just to install the sash which I bought. My son had replaced it once and I knew it took him a while, but he had no experience. I was surprised because I got an estimate for 45 minutes, but the handyman doubled that when he got here. There were about 20 minutes left for two hours, but he went half an hour or 40 minutes beyond that time. So, I ended up paying $300. I also asked him about the $31 that I got from Angie’s List. He was courteous. It was my fault because I had to investigate on what was going on. The handyman was good. I would recommend him, but you should be cautious about the price. I wouldn’t use him again since I wasn’t happy with the price. He was a local guy.

Excellent work done in a reasonable time (5 1/2 hours) by a skilled technician (Pete).  We are having him come back for additional work.

They did very good work. They allowed me to go with the repair man to purchase the materials which I liked. He was on time, and courteous.

It was a good experience. We have a two story house and they painted the shutters on the upper level.  They were very prompt. I sent an email request and the manager called me back within an hour to set up an appointment.  They arrived when they said they would and it took just as long as they said it would.  I was very pleased. 

I wasn't there when the job was done but they were very nice when I talked to them on the phone. They called me with an estimate. They were very personable. Overall I had a good experience even though they were a little expensive.

Mike and Cornett came out and fixed it. They are very nice, friendly, and professional. No problem at all.

They were at the top of the price range, but they were competent. The experience was excellent. I didn't have any complaints, apart from a few finishing details that they could've been more careful on. Those were purely cosmetic. The job was expensive; it was more than I would've liked to have paid.

I called to request service and my call was handled in a most professional manner. As a matter of fact, I called the wrong Mr. Handyman(wrong area covered), but was referred to Tom and Annette. I received a call the next day from Tom, who was eager to prrovide service. When the screen popped out again, I called Tom and he arranged for next day service at no extra charge. We will definitely be repeat customers for work still on our list to be done. Thanks, Tom!

The flashing on the deck needed replacing because it had been done improperly by the previous owner and water was getting into the wall below. The handyman showed up on time and inspected the area needing work and pointed out that water was also getting in to an area I hadn't noticed. He did a nice job and also sealed up two vents that that could have been an issue later without charging me extra. The work was done very neatly and the work area was left clean. It's a month later and I am still very happy with the work done.

Jerry from Mr. Handyman of Fredrick was awesome. He arrived on time for starters and then took a close look of the work that needed to be performed. He then proceeded to provide us with the best possible solution(at the lowest price) to the wood-work outside our bay window. He also recommended me to get the required materials from the Hardware store while he got started to save me even more time as well as money. The work that her performed was top notch and his rates though a bit high were very reasonable. I strongly recommend him.

It was tough to find somebody to fix relatively minor damage to my rain gutters and I am glad I finally called Mr. Handyman. They did a good job, were prompt, and very professional. I was impressed enough to have them come out about five days later to repair the roof seal around the chimney that the workman spotted on the first visit. The second visit was a repeat of the first: very positive. I am definitely calling these guys first next time!

It was a positive experience and I was very pleased with the services. I thought they did a very good follow up to make sure I was satisfied.
