Outstanding experience.  I purchased a big deal for sanding and refinishing and was able to communite with them through email to work out the details.  I had to pay some additional for molding, but they were upfront and clear about it.  They were also willing to not do some additional work that I did not feel was needed (did not try to oversell).  The two workers showed up on time the day of the service and worked the entire day.  A supervisor stopped by to introduce himself and check out the work site.  The floor looks wonderful, like brand new.  Super easy experience for a contractor project, everything went very smoothly.

Excellent job.  Great attention to detail.  Even though they say it is virtually a dust free operation, you never believe that, but it's true. They cover everything with plastic and 'seal off' the kitchen with plastic to keep dust out of other rooms.  Their sanding system has a vacuum system which really does minimize the dust from the sanding.
Took most of the day 9:30-5PM to do the job, but the floor looks beautiful.
Easy to work with and an easy process to get the job done.  If you give them measurements, they do reserve the right to re-measure, which they did.  Wound up costing me a little more as my measurements were slightly off, but not a big enough cost difference to matter.

An appointment was scheduled, but company rescheduled because they didn't complete another job in time (stuff happens! )
On the next day, technician reported and cleaned requested areas. We were satisfied with their work.

DJ floors was wonderful to work with. The young lady that answers the phone,creates appts, & everything else...she is great. DJ Floors was very responsive, quick to call back, & reasonably priced. I was a bit concerned about the quality in the beginning b/c my floors were very dirty & I was unsure that they were going to bounce right back. DJ Floors done a fantastic job!! I would definitely use them in the future if I opt for the refinishing

Went well - on schedule.  I was not satisfied with the finishing polyurethene though - it does not look like 3 coats.

the two man crew from DJ Floors arrived on time and spent the first hour covering cabinets and doors with plastic. They spent the next 6/7 hours sanding the floor with first 36 grit sand paper and then a 200 grit paper to smooth the floor. By the end of the first day they had completely sanded both floors and put the stain on, which made the floor look like new wood.
On the second day they first started with installing the shoe molding them putting on a coat of polyurethane. Once that was dry the floor was buffed and the second coat of commerical grade poly was put on.  3 hours late it was dry and looked great!
The old floors look new again, DJ Floors worked miricales with our old floors. 
I would not hesitate in hiring them again for a flooring project!

It went very well. They accidently broke something but they replaced it without any questions; I thought that was very nice. I would use them again but I would try to negotiate the price.

I received 3 bids. Two of the bids were from people found on Angie's list . The other one was from a person recommended by my neighbor. All the proposals  were about the same. The reason I chose D.J. Floors is that  a very detailed proposal was presented and they charged less for moving all the furniture. (We couldn't believe that the people that moved the furniture were able to put it all of it in our small kitchen and still leave room for us to be able  use the stove, sink, and the fridge.) All the workmen did a professional job. If a workman was going to be late ; I was called. Also, a project manager would check the job each time it was finished. In the end,  I knew the exact cost; there were no surprises. I definitely would use them, again. As an aside, we felt secure leaving them in the house alone. They locked the house when leaving.

I contacted several companies via Angie's List to have the wood floors refinished in our DC condo. Dj was the quickest to respond, and provided me a rough quote via email based on the information that I provided. They included prices for various sanding / staining / shoe molding options, which I appreciated. A few weeks later they came out to look at the floors and measure, then provided me a quote that was even less than I expected. I said that I wanted to proceed with the work, then it took several weeks and repeated follow-ups to get a confirmed date. They showed up when promised, did the work, and the floors look great. The job took a little longer than I would have liked, but they're nice people and do good work, so I would use them again.

Of the three flooring companies I called (all from Angies List,) only DJ Floors sent someone out to see the floor before giving me an estimate.  Magnus measured the floor, gave me an estimate, and told me what to expect.  He emailed me the quote later that day.  After returning from vacation, I ordered the service.  The techs arrived on time, explained what they would do, and set to work.  They checked with me occassionally to be sure the color and texture were right.  After the 1 1/2 day process was complete, I was not completely satisfied that the texture was right .  Magnus and the team came back and re-worked the process until I was satisfied. What I really liked was their attitude.  Their only concern was my satisfaction.  Magnus made it clear that they would be there until I was satisfied.  That's what I call customer satisfaction!
DJ Floors will be the first call I make for my flooring needs from now on.

Job well done. The only thing is they took all the molding pieces and I had to buy new ones.

The job was very professionally done, DJ and his crew were always professional and polite with us. Every time we called the office Daniele was there to hep us.

I don't even know where to start, I first contacted this company on Aug. 14th to schedule an estimate on getting my floor refinished, I played phone tag with them for over a week and  finally manage to schedule an appointment for Aug 23rd.  I had  already requested the morning off at work so I could wait for the estimator when received a call late on Aug 22nd telling me they needed to reschedule, we ended up rescheduling for early in the morning on Tuesday the 28th.
The estimator arrived around 8:45 and walked around and took some  measurements and told me they would send me a quote by the end of the day.  The next day I had not received the quote so I contacted DJ Flooring to find out where they were and I was told the estimators laptop was broken and they needed to wait for him to come into the office and I should have something the next day.
By the 31st I still had not received a quote so I called again, this time the lady on the phone said they had sent them but she would send it again (surprisingly the quote arrived this time), but it was only the quote for my entrance way and hallway, when I mentioned I was suppose to receive 3 quotes (Entrance Way,  Hallway and Kitchen) she said the Entrance Way and Hallway were combined because there was a minimum (Never stated to me) and she wasn't sure where the Kitchen one was and would get back to me.  A little bit later I received an email with the quote for the kitchen.
The first quote was priced at $500 for the refinishing + Shoe Molding cost, the second quote (for the kitchen was priced at $825 +  the shoe molding cost. The quotes did not include the measurements on them for the rooms.
I went and measured the hallway and the entrance way and and the total square footage was 75 square feet.  According to their website and the AngiesList deal they will do 150 square feet for $247, they also state the normal price is $2.5 per square feet, so $2.5 x 75 square feet is $187, so where they got $500 is beyond me since that isn't even their normal price. 
I sent an email follow up regarding the price and still have not heard back, I've tried calling 3 times and received busy signals each time.
While I can't comment on their actual work, their customer service is horrible.

DJ Floors were very professional. They were prompt. His price was closer to what I wanted to pay. He was were very nice.

The price was very reasonable.  They were quick, and had the work done with in a day and a half.

The estimate was the lowest of the four estimates by approximately $200.  All of the estimates were from Angie's List and were based on using the same materials.  The written copy of the estimate was mailed to us and was very detailed, much more so than the others we got.  After the estimate arrived, I asked about a senior discount which took $200 off the price of the job.  The hardwood was delivered about a week before to "cure."  The men who delivered the wood and the installers were prompt and efficient.  We were told the job would take three days, but it was finished in 2 1/2 days.  The installers worked 8-hour days and stopped only to have lunch, which they brought with them.  The person who gave us the estimate came out each day to check on the progress and to make sure we were happy with the work.  Everyone was very courteous.  The installers did an excellent job of cleaning up at the end of each day.  I would higly recommend DJ Flooring for hardwood floor installation.

We got 3 estimates for installing/refinishing our oak floors.  DJ Floors estimate was the lowest, plus they were very responsive to all of my questions.   When I told them we wanted to hire them, they delivered the wood 2 days later (June 29) to acclimate and we paid 50% as a deposit.  They were supposed to start work on July 2, but we lost our power in the derecho so we had to reschedule.  They were able to rearrange their jobs so that they could start our floors on Monday, July 9. 
Two workers arrived promptly at 8 on Monday and removed the carpets in our family room, living room and stairs.  Then they started installing the new floors.  We wanted the living room and the existing wood floored hall next to it to be continuous, so they removed some of the old boards to integrate the old and new floors.  On Tuesday they finished installing the wood floors and stairs and a third worker came to install our new handrail.  On Wednesday two different workers came to sand the floors.  They first taped plastic up to protect the rest of the house.  I  told them several possible stain colors and they applied them to the floor so I could see what they looked like.  Then they sanded the floors and applied the stain that I picked.  The other worker continued working on the handrail.  On Thursday they applied two coats of polyurethane, installed all of the shoe molding and finished installing the handrail.  They worked a half day on Friday, applying the last coat of polyurethane to the floor and  a couple coats to the handrail.  After they left, I noticed a few small problems and they came back Monday morning to fix them.
Refinishing/installing hardwood floors is very disruptive, but DJ Floors did a good job keeping the dust level low and the water based polyurethane dried in a couple hours and the smell wasn't that strong.  The floors are gorgeous and I can't tell where the old floor ends and the new floor begins.  Our house looks so much better now! (We still have to repaint.)  Everyone at DJ's was helpful, responsive and punctual.  I'd definitely hire them again.

An excellent experience from start to finish. Everyone I spoke with at the company was helpful and courteous.  Anytime I emailed the company with questions I got a response right away. The installers removed the entire bedroom carpet and walk in closet carpet and replaced it with laminate flooring. I live on the 4th floor and when the materials were delivered, the delivery person was a pleasant as can be, even though it was many steps and hot outside! The installers finished in about  5 1/2 hours and the result is beautiful. They cleaned everything up nicely and put the furniture back in its place and even re-hung my clothes back in the closet. The installers were professional and courteous. The manager of DJ Floors came by my apartment to check on how things were progressing with the installation. I would highly recommend this company to friends and most definitely use them in the future.

Very well. Professional, courteous and efficient.  Arrived as scheduled.  Work done professionally.  House was absent dust and mess after work completed.

DJ has assembled a great crew of professionals.  We found everyone polite, thoughful, and easy to work with including the office person, Daniele.  It seemed that some of the problems that our design created required extra care and ingenuity.  Nearly all the people involved offered creative ideas that improved the design and the final product, which is spectacular.  Carlos, the plumber/electrician, is a real gem.  He always seemed willing to go the extra mile to do things the right way.  The tile professional and his assistant did excellent work.  The glass company that came in after DJ's part of the job was finished commented that the tile was layed with unusual accuracy.  That certainly added to the beauty of the final product.  The carpenter did an excellent job with everything especially the installation of the pocket door.  DJ, the owner, is a godsend.  His attention to our job made it all go well and set the tone for the others.  His ocassional advice and creative ideas improved our design in several ways. Perhaps, the best part of all is the pleasant atmosphere that everyone brought into our home.  After several weeks in our home, I can say that I never heard a hint of complaint or frustration even in challenging circumstances. My wife and I are thrilled with our new bathroom.  We feel that we all became friends in the process while maintaining a professional relationship.    Our home is blessed by their work and presence.

The overall experience was fine - couldn't have asked for better work.
