My old roof was cedar shakes and selecting a fiberglass shingle took a lot of time.  The sales person was patient with me, and I never felt pressured to finalize the contract.  The installation was excellent; the gutters, yard and driveway were cleaned of any roof debris.  All contacts with the company were handled in a very professional, responsive manner, and I am currently considering using them for other home improvement projects.  I highly recommend this company.

They guy who came was nice, but it was just too expensive at the time. Overall, it was good. Their follow up was good as well.

Eric came out for estimates and worked with us to provide estimates for work that was not related to hail storm.  The workers were polite, on time and cleaned up everything before they left.

My wife and I were both impressed with S & K at all stages of the process. From my first contact with the Sales Manager for the free estimate to the scheduling (we had to delay THEM a few days because we had scheduled a short vacation), to the fast and extremely efficient installation and cleanup, we could not have asked for a better experience.



The crew arrived promptly at the scheduled hour and the crew leader Jose introduced himself and explained the plan for the day. The work began with the careful positioning of large tarps across the front and back of the house, including the driveway, bushes and the deck. These insured a clean job by catching not only old shingles but any other debris including nails. The work got underway and

the workers kept up a steady pace throughout the day. Whenever I came out to watch the progress, Jose informed me of the status and the next step. The entire job was finished by the end of the day the same day, except for one 20 minute  finishing touch the next morning.  At the end of the day, the crew was extremely thorough in surveying the entire area for nails or debris and even swept the driveway and returned any deck furniture to its previous location.



The finished product is very impressive, and the house looks beautiful with our new roof.  We could not be more pleased with how

S & K rose to the occasion and helped us complete this home improvement project. We hope to use them again for other projects in the near future.

They did a roof inspection, and honestly told me that I had about 3-5 years left on that roof. 

They repaired the leak.  They followed up with a phone call to be sure everything was fine.

Overall, good experience.  Some minor issues here and there with responsiveness and communication, but workmanship is good. I'm a perfectionist. Some things aren't perfect, but the average person probably wouldn't notice.
Company is very good about quality control if you bring something to their attention.  Quality control manager, Sean Toms is absolutely outstanding.

It went very well.  A large crew did the roof work and the entire roof was finished in three days.  The flashing around a vent and the chimney was replaced as well.  Supervisors came to check the work and  answer any questions.  All trash was collected and carted away.  Leftover slates were left  for us.  The gutter work followed the next week.  That went quickly as well and looks great.  It has rained quite hard since the job has been finished and there are no leaks.  Actually, it rained one evening during the job, but their covering of exposed areas allowed no leakage.  The workers were considerate and the supervisors were very helpful.

This job lasted from October 2012 until final new large window installation April 2013. I went through holidays with blue plastic covering my large windows. At first the job could not be done because the point person or the person who came out to give an estimate went on a long vacation. My impression was that they hired smaller contractors for the different jobs. Time passed, a couple of weeks, and after I called again the roofer came out and did a good job and good clean up. The mason, who I had to call,  was excellent. He came out to the house right after I called, promptly sent and estimate, did an excellent job and cleanup and came back in a week to make sure everything was ok.
The windows were another story. In the beginning of December the small window was to be installed. When the man came to the house he did not have the window and had to go back out for it. Then I realized the window was white on the inside and out. It did not match my siding. The man said I should have ordered the correct color and I said someone should have told me they would not be duplicating the original. This delayed the small window instillation until January 2nd 2013. it was at this time he looked at the large windows and stated this would be a much bigger job than he thought, and because he would have to order the windows in the color to match the shade they were it would take a while to put them in. I have to add that when the color issue came up I was directed to the S&K office who gave me a website to look at colors. The colors did not show up well on the website and when the window man came out for the bathroom window I stated that the colors were terrible on the website and I could not match them to the siding, where upon he pulled out a large ring of colors and we immediately found the right shades. This ,of course delayed the large windows. It wasn't until I began to complain regularly that the windows finally came. I might add that when I called about the windows the office person implied the delay was all caused by my color change. As a consequence my windows issue took 6 months to fix.

I requested an estimate to have siding replaced, gutters, soffits, and some chimney work done. The estimator came promptly and was very professional. He spent time explaining everything and answering questions. The decision was between S&K and another company and was difficult to make since both seemed great. In the end, I went with another company but would certainly consider using S&K for other work I may have done in the future.

A very professional crew of two carpenters did a great job replacing rotted trim.  Very high quality work.  They did miss two spots, which is inconvenient, but they are returning to complete the job.  Highly recommend them!

S & K is a very professional organization that is very responsive to the customer.  All of our dealings with the salesman and other members of the company were very positive, and they kept us informed when adverse weather caused the work to be rescheduled.  The estimator was extremely patient and answered all of our questions, and was quick to respond to follow-up questions.  He offered several solutions ranging from a quick fix to upgrading the siding.  While he made us very comfortable with choosing the quick fix we opted to go with the more expensive option. One of the biggest challenges in having work done is choosing a contractor that you can trust.  I certainly plan on using S&K in the future.

Awsome - the cleaned up after the job and did an excellent job on every aspect of work performed. The best about S&K the don't try to oversale you and offer many options to assist in making the best decision. Getting ready to use them again for siding, doors and shutters.

Great price and excellent work. Very easy to deal with and the owner is willing to work with the homeowner. Siding crew went above and beyond with their finish work.

I selected S and K based on its high ratings on Angies list, as well as 3 recommendations from friends.  While the final product is good, we had an incident that tainted our experience.  At the onset of the project, we came home to find that a pallet of shingles had fallen from the house roof onto our covered porch roof while the shingles were being delivered/placed on the roof.  The pallet crashed through our porch roof, putting a large hole in the roof and cracking the support   Not only that, the roofers already tried to replace the damaged roof, leaving the crack joists in place.  Once we called the office, a representative came out immediately and began to rectify the situation.  In his words, he was "appalled" that he was not phoned immediately after the mistake was made.  They then replaced the joist and matched up the color with the existing color.  The roof and downspouts have been excellent.

The work was flawless. Each of the 3 services (roof, siding & gutters) were treated as separate projects.  Each was scheduled with me in advance.  The crews for each service arrived on time, worked tirelessly, and cleaned up when they were finished.
The craftsmanship for each service is outstanding.  I highly recommend them.  From original estimate to final cleanup, everything was perfect every step of the way.

With a little bumpy start about the details of the estimate, everything went extremely well. Eric the salesman, and the office staff, very quickly responded to all concerns and questions and calls and emails from me. We did not have to wait long to have the work done.
The workers were polite, and the work was completed quickly. They damaged none of our many plants next to the house and cleaned up extremely well. I was pleasantly surprised with the ease of the process.

Our metal roof on our 1970s barn was leaking.   S&K reattached the metal roof with screws (to replace the nails) and also fixed two leaks.  The estimator who priced this job got on our barn roof and he felt that the eaks throughout the building were being caused because the metal roof was attached to the building with nails instead of screws.   Nails pull up over time with wind, causing leaks.  He suggested that we could fix the problem if we installed screws instead.  He did say though that there was a chance this approach wouldn't work, but this approach was considerably less expensive than installing a whole new metal roof.  There were also two small tears (about the size of  fist) that needed to be repaired.  The crew that came to the property were respectful.  I also found the company to be very easy to deal with in terms of scheduling the job.  However, now that the job is done, the disappointing part is that we still have leaks throughout the building.  The repair did not work.  I called the estimator back to take a look and he said he would come out, but its been a few weeks and he hasn't called me back to schedule a follow up visit.  I understand that we took a risk on this approach, so I can't necessarily give S&K a poor review there, but I'm not pleased with the lack of follow up now that it is clear that we still have lots of leaks.

Great job overall. There were some communication concerns during the project that seemed like lack of coordination but it all worked out in the end.

You can give S & K Roofing Siding & Windows Inc. tops on everything. They were very good. They were very professional. They sent someone over to look at the job and he knew what he was doing. He took the time to really sit down and discuss it with us. The workmen arrived on time and did a very good job. They cleaned up after themselves.

I Have used S & K for roof, siding, gutters insulation and the latest my front door.  I would recommend this company to anyone.  The are all wonderful!!  they know what they are talking about and also will help or recommend  advice.  What a great company!! You can not go wrong with them.  The $7700.00 is for only my door.
