J & C CUSTOM TILE

I was completely pleased with the work from beginning to end.  Jimmy arrives on time, keeps to his estimates, lets you know if there is a problem and is clear about what to expect.  He calls if he has questions, he sends texts if there is any issue, he was more than happy to talk to my stone fabricator for the custom stone tile situation I created, and his communications overall were excellent.  Most of all, he is a true craftsman and thought of many things I had not considered (and I have laid tile and stone myself before so I had some idea about what was involved).  He carefully thought about all the joins and boundaries, came up with a better layout than I ever would, and was clever about where the lines would be.  Lippage is truly minimal on this job, despite having a challenging floor threshold and a diagonal layout.  He matched up the different marble tiles very nicely and he used the busiest marble near the toilet, so that any typical mens' room sort of drips would not show.  The grout job was perfect and he was happy to order the custom extra-white grout that I asked him for.  Many contractors would have rolled their eyes about how fussy I am, but he was only too happy to have a customer who knew about the products on the market.  His suggestions were all very good and his work was excellent.  We are now more than six months after the job's been done, and I am still very pleased.  Everything looks great, minimal settling, and no problems.  I plan to hire him again for the house's entryway.
