After a few weeks' delay due to the unexpected snowfalls, they arrived at 8:00 AM as promised and finished the job in one day (which surprised me). Craig had come a few weeks before and gave me what I felt was a reasonable estimate, came and checked his crew's work, and emailed me his bill. No surprises. Everything went smoothly and Craig was pleasant and easy to work with.

There is a reason why this company has received all grade A's. Craig came out and walked around my property with me, and examined all the work that needed to be done. He is an arborist, so he knew exactly what could be saved and what had to go. I feel that for the amount of work done, the price was very fair. I called him to arrange a date for the work to be done, and he called me back promptly. When I came home from work, the work was done and cleaned up. Great company--I will call again!

Craig was great. Very responsive. Came when promised and did excellent job. Very reasonable price compared to other estimates.

It was great. I'd gotten a bid from another contractor and was surprised that the cost was much higher than other reviews on Angie's List had reported. The bid from S&P was very reasonable and in line with other reports of their costs. The crew arrived on time, was efficient, and cleaned up all the tree mess. Craig explained what the trees were, why he proposed what he did, and answered my dozen other questions. He was polite, friendly, and gave me a senior discount.

I asked Craig to come out to look at our trees and provide some recommendations to keep them healthy and remove some junk, in connection with my next door neighbor. He used a laser pointer to help be precise with which limbs he suggested removing, which really helped us visualize the proposed work. His recommendations are first to protect the tree's health as well as the house, rather than just cut haphazardly. We agreed on a price and scheduled him to come out. The crew showed up on time and set up quickly. They worked very hard and reevaluated some things seeing them in different light (evening versus morning) changed his suggestions - one limb he thought should come down he said shouldn't and offered to grind a out stump the next day in lieu of removing that (big) limb. He easily could have not removed it and we wouldn't have noticed; we greatly appreciated his honesty. I will definitely use Craig and S&P again (maybe as soon as next year as one of the trees, he pointed out, isn't so hot right now but he suggested reevaluating in the spring instead of just flatly saying "get rid of it).

S&P are wonderful! Very fast service -- scheduled appointment for estimate within a few days, consultant was extremely knowledgeable, told me what I did -- and did not -- need, promised to provide service within a week, were able to come within three days, did the job perfectly, and price was competitive. Hire them!

Craig Sullivan came out to our home to conduct the initial estimate; he was very knowledgeable and professional. He explained what type of care each tree needed and answered all of my questions. With the recent storms we had tree damage plus a failing tree. Mr. Sullivan was available via phone and email to answer all of our questions regarding the work. The crew removed all of the storm debris as well as their own trimmings and left the yard in better shape than it was! We couldn't be happier with the results or the costs; very impressed with the quality of the work and a contractor who delivered exactly what was promised.

Craig is extremely responsive and had my large Red Maple removed the day after I contacted him. Craig's crew did a great job working around my garden as they removed the large tree . Edwin, the head climber skillfully and efficiently removed large limbs of the tree, one, by one, working with his crew to carefully lower and/or drop limbs to the ground and avoid damage to the garden. The crew works very cohesively, and professionally. They completed the tree removal in 2-3 hours. Great Job! This is the second time I've used S&P and highly recommend them.

The tree looks great now. I don't have to worry that the tree will fall over in the next bad thunderstorm. The price was very reasonable. I'm very pleased.

My homeowners association has been working with SP Tree for a while. I had initially contacted them a few years ago and Craig recommended waiting through two more flowering cycles before pruning the tree. This spring, we decided it was time to do the work. His crew arrived promptly as scheduled, Craig met them here to review what needed to be done. The crew was efficient and did a great job of both pruning/cutting the limbs, and cleanup. I have been really impressed with Craig, who has been extremely responsive every time I have contacted him. I would highly recommend them.

Work was scheduled for Tuesday morning. They arrived promptly and immediately started work. Trees were removed, stumps were ground and the trimming of the other trees was fantastic. The recommendations Craig made on caring for the trees, and trying to save damaged tree was in depth. He took great pains to explain exactly what trees I had, and when I explained future plans for my deck made great recommendations. All work was completed in about 3 hours, no stray debris from the removed trees or tree pruning jobs was left behind - cleanup following work was excellent. I will keep this contact and have him back in about 3 years to trim again. I want the house to continue to look as nice as it does today. I would recommend S&P tree service to anyone needing trees removed or trimmed or pruned. Great service, friendly workers and a joy to do business. Price was outstanding and Craig said no payment until I was satisfied with the work. I was impressed and, more importantly, my wife was very happy with the results. Thanks Craig!

Chris was very knowledgeable and friendly when he came to spec out the project. We orginially thought that we wanted to remove 4 trees, but Chris suggested that we just trim 2 of them. He also was helpful with suggestions about reintroducing grass to the back yard that has been so shady that nothing but moss was growing. When they arrived, they were courteous and extremely fast. Very professional tree service. A competitor who saw the work at a later date even praised it. They cleaned up nicely after the job was completed.

We recently hired S&P Tree to cut down 3 large trees (2 oaks and 1 maple) and trim a fourth tree. They showed up promptly as scheduled. They did an incredible job and provided the necessary manpower to complete the job in one day including grinding of all 3 stumps. They cleaned up the yard thoroughly. We will use this firm again in the future and highly recommend them for tree cutting services. Their price was extremely competitive at $2500 for the entire job. Of note: We did not have them remove the tree trunks and large branches as we donated them to a church to distribute to folks needing heating fuel.

They got here and did a good job. This company did the job about a week after I called but I was on the road when they did the job. My impression is good. They worked around a lot of thunderstorms, did not tear up my yard, cleaned up their mess and my neighbor said he is going to use them to trim his trees.

It went very well. Price was reasonable and estimate and work was fast. The only thing is that I didn't expect they would leave the wood chip instead of taking them away.

WOW!!! Craig Sullivan gave us a reasonable estimate and his workers did an amazing job!!! They cut down 4 large trees - removed all the debris and their cute remote controlled stump grinder completely removed the large stumps. A year ago, when we first moved into our house, S & P came to reclaim the overgrown and out of control jungle in my backyard and they also did an amazing and fantastic job at a great price. At that time, they cut large ivy vines that were choking 2 gorgeous huge trees. This visit, they removed all that dead ivy on my trees, climbing all the way up and cleaning the entire tree. They also removed a huge limb from my neighbor's tree that was hanging over my bedroom. I highly recommend Craig and his staff. It was amazing to watch them climb up in the trees like monkeys and expertly do their job!!!

Craig Sullivan was very helpful, since the original request included a 2nd tree that he observed was on the county right of way. Rather than take it down, he took out the other as planned, set me on the road to getting county permission, and was perfectly willing to come back later at no additional cost to take the 2nd larger tree out if we received permission. (To date, we have not been able to get that permission.) He also gave advice on the viability of two other trees which were showing signs of significant stress. One of them was apparently diseased, but he encouraged me to leave the other one for a year or two in the expectation it would improve. There was no sense of his trying to get me to take them down just because he could.
