Company was very professional and returned call promptly. When I called and told them we were previous customers, they looked us up, saw that our roof was still under warranty, and told us there would be no charge for the repairs on the part of the roof they had previously installed. They also replaced shingles on the part of the roof (over our sunroom) that they had not previously worked on. The charge for that work was only $300, for materials and labor.

The roofing was scheduled to be done two weeks after contract signed; however, an opening came up and they were able to do it more than a week early. The roofing was to be done on one day and the soffits the next day. Roofing crew arrived on time and got to work right away. They backed their almost full truck into our delapidated driveway, placed tarps over shrubbery and began removing shingles. When the truck was full they left to dump it and came back quickly and continued the removal. At some point when they backed up in the driveway they backed up onto the walkway to the front step(it protrudes slightly into the driveway) and the weight of the truck cracked off a large corner of the walkway. Annoying, but we are planning to redo our driveway anyway, so we'll just have to do that part too. We never mentioned it to the company. The tarp was covering the intersection of the two, so I'm guessing the driver never noticed it. The crew was here about half the day, but they worked efficiently. The crew didn't say much to me and mostly spoke spanish. The clean up was not perfect(a few nails in the driveway and sidewalk), but fairly good for all the mess that is made. I honestly think the nails probably fell out of the truck as it was driving away. Our roof had never looked so good!
The next day a new crew came to do the siding and gutters. Boy was that a big mess in the yard! They pulled down all the old soffits and completely replaced them with new vented ones. They also replaced the wood they attach to. This crew was very jolly, mostly asian, and interacted with me a bit more. They were here a good full day as expected as this is more detailed work than reshingling. They set up scaffolding all around, removed gutters, and proceeded with all trim work. They also left a few nails about the yard and bushes, but its not like a magnet will pick up aluminum inside bushes. They walked the yard with a bucket and collected everything they saw. The only real complaint with this part was that when removing the scaffolding they left a few roof tiles lifted. My husband had to go up on the roof and tuck them back down. Not a big deal. We've worked with many contractors and this was one of our most pleasant experiences.
All in all a good experience. The owner is very personable, responsive and gives a great price(lowest of 4 bids). He even accepted two coupons because the job was considered two different jobs(roof and soffits). I would reccommend these guys and use them again. Many of our neighbors have used them too and these guys have always been responsive to any issue.

Highly professional, organized, on time, very efficient. The entire roof replaced within normal working hours in one day. When they finished the surrounding grounds of my home had no indication that all this work took place. My new roof has now survived all of our recent wind, rain and snow storms. The next day the supervisor inspected the grounds for loose debris. I have already and will refer friends/family to Chesapeake Roofing.

From the beginning, the owner Kurt was very responsive and came right out to address my concerns, take a look at the roof and then gave me an estimate on sight. I got a couple other estimates and he was matched for the best price. I have family members that used him in the past and recommended him, so between that and the price, I went with Chesapeake. Kurt was very responsive and helpful by e-mail with questions and options. We ended up adding a few things to the service agreement. The crew showed up a couple minutes early and were very professional and nice. All work was done in the 2 days that they told me. Our house looks great and we have even had neighbors that have stopped by to ask about it and comment on what a good job they did.

Everything went fairly smoothly. We did have an issue with some leaking that occurred with Hurricane Sandy and it turned out something wasn't done right and they came back and fixed it. All was resolved and we would recommend or use them again if we needed to.

The job was done before lunch. They came out and did not disturb my sleeping toddler and cleaned up all of the scrap that I left behind when I pulled the siding away. I love this company.

the door had to be ordered and I was given a date when the work should start. The door came in a little early so Mr Burkhart called to see if i was available to get it installed earlier than the estimated date. Since I work from home this was not a problem. The crew arived and carefully removed the old door as quiet as ossible since I was trying to work. They had the new door installed in about 2 hours and now my door does not leak air. I am very pleased with them.

They installed the roof. There were issues with leaks, where they came back and replaced the shingles to fix the problem. I was not happy with how they dealt with it. I wanted to make them redo the whole roof, but didn't listen to my instincts. Less then a month after the 5 year warranty ended, we have mold coming through our ceiling. I believe we have had a long term slow leak in our roof for years. So now we will probably have to get the roof done ...again...and have to have mold remediation as well. I would never use this company again.

Kurt, the owner came out himself to give me an estimate. He was knowledgeable, courteous and friendly. As promised, his workers showed up at the precise time and day Kurt told me they would and replaced my skylight without much fuss at all. The new buyers were thrilled with the quality of the work and the upgraded skylight. Wonderful experience! I would definitely hire them again.

We are very pleased with the window replacement process from the quote through completion of installation. The Simonton windows exceed our expectations. Installation workmanship was of the highest caliber. Appreciate that Curt provided factual information and did not try to oversell the product as we experienced with other sales folks. Everyone was courteous and professional.

They were great and were very responsive. He was prompt and came right over because it was an emergency kind of thing. He was able to do it quickly and was courteous.

The job went very well. We are glad to have the skylights replaced because they were leaking. Chesapeake roofing initially tried to reseal them to block out further water damage before replacing them but the skylights were just ready to be replaced after 25 years.

Jim was great and willing to work around my schedule. From the estimate date to install date was less than 10 days. I didn't need to be home for the installation, but they called and told me to place old sheets underneath the skylights just in case debris fell in. On the day of installation, I could not even tell they had been there other than a few paint chips on the old sheets. I was nervous the first 2-3 rainstorms as one of the old ones leaked and I'd always had to line up big containers when I thought it was going to rain. As I type this, I'm 5 hours into Hurricane Irene...not one leak. In addition, my old ones were builder grade and in the summer my upstairs would be 15-20 degrees hotter than the lower levels. These have made such a difference! .

Their attention to detail was outstanding. They cleaned the premises better than when they started. They did a spectacular job of cleaning up. They were on time and they notified us in advance of the project starting. The quality of the work was beyond our expectations. We had other bids and they were not the least expensive but the job was well worth what they charged. They were very punctual. We would use them again and we would recommend them.

Got an estimate, Very professional, competitive estimate. Decided to go with another company simply because we had a touchy roof repair--the company we chose was a roof repair specialist. Very impressed with Chesapeake.

The company was fantastic. It was a small job and some companies wouldn't talk to us, but Kurt said they'd be happy to provide an estimate. I was surprised that he came by our house and we got an estimate the same day I called. The estimate seemed reasonable based on previous roofing/siding work. I sent back the signed contract the next day, and that very day he came and did the work. I had used another company two years ago for the same issue and it took them 6 weeks (and it obviously didn't work well, since the trim had to be replaced again). I was very impressed with how quickly the work was done by Chesapeake Roofing, and how responsive Kurt was throughout the short process via phone calls and emails.

Excellent. Estimate and consultation were timely and professional. Everything was done as expected. Crew was professional, cleaned up after themselves, and worked hard all day and late into the night to get the job finished before it rained the next day. Highly recommended.

Tim came out to give estimate. I told him that I was getting multiple estimates and he stated if I could find someone cheaper he would go lower. Other estimates came in but were $1000s MORE than Tim's estimate. Workers were fast and efficient. Very courteous when asked questions and the explanations were put into my terms. Was surprised on how fast the new roof was put on.

Went well. They were running late, but honored the appointment and stayed quite late to make sure this job was completed on the day scheduled. We've used this company for other small stuff and were pleased.

They did a good job. They were very easy to work with. There was one small problem and the owner of the company came to my home to inspect the issue within about 48 hours, they are very responsive.
