We met with a young woman from Bowen in January. During our initial meeting she was pleasant but did come across as being inexperienced. She took measurements and stated it would be approximately a week and a half to generate drawings and provide us with an initial estimate. There was no follow-up by phone or email in the stated timeframe. Approximately 3 weeks later I emailed her to try to attempt to coordinate a time to review drawings and obtain the requested estimate. It took her 6 days to respond to my email at which point she stated she had been out sick and that the computer program they use to generate the plans and estimate was not working but she was hopeful it would be up again later in the week. She further stated that she would like to set-up an appointment for us to come in later in the week, possibly the weekend. I responded requesting a time on Saturday as she had proposed. I did not receive a response by phone or email. I called Bowen directly 2 days later to try to determine the status of the requested appointment. The receptionist indicated that she wasn't sure if there was an appointment on the books, but that they could take a message for me and the estimator would call me back. At that point I also asked if the business owner could please contact me regarding our poor customer service with Bowen. That was in February. It is now April and I have had no follow-up from the initial estimator or the business owner. Very poor communication. Very poor customer service. We have, not surprisingly, contracted with another company to complete our work.

We have been in business for many years and completed over 500 jobs including kitchens, bathrooms, and basements in the last year alone with a lot of happy and excited customers. Unfortunately, with a lot of emails going back and forth we were set to meet you on that Saturday however you seemed not interested at that point so it was dropped. I'm sorry if there was miscommunication on both our parts."

Began on 2 December 2013, the time estimate to complete the job provided by the project manager was 2-3 weeks, with the caveat that the shower door would take a couple of weeks longer. All work was completed by 17 February 2014 - 77 days/11 weeks. Demolition and beginning stages of remodel were accomplished by mid-December. Craftsmen on site were prompt, ensured that everything was protected as much as possible from debris and dust, did excellent work - they all deserve an A+ rating. I am very satisfied with the final result. My only complaint is with the project manager's time estimate and the PM's slow and sometimes no responses to phone calls and emails. I'd like to attribute that to youth and inexperience.

"I believe that she is correct in that she received the best quality at the best price. I also believe in our company motto that we never leave a customer unhappy. Her bathroom was completed on time except for three things that she did not like. 1) She did not like the paint color that she chose for the bathroom so we repainted it a no charge to her. 2) She thought the shower was too dark and she added as a change order after the bathroom was complete to add a light over the shower which was done and the drywall and touch up painting were done. 3) The tricky one after her bathroom was complete she told us her showerhead was too low. She never brought up the shower head preconstruction so it remained in the same place it was. We met with her three different times to figure out a way to not disturb the 12X24 tile. All of that was done at no cost to her for the new showerhead pieces and plumbing charges. Unfortunately the last shower arm piece that we settled on we had to reorder due to it coming in wrong. She is a nice lady and we enjoyed working for her. Unfortunately she did not think the bathroom was complete because of the three issues and would not use the bathroom even though everything was fully functional. Our contract was complete and we didn't not have to do any to the three items however, we take great pride in what we do and our customers happiness with the end result of the project."

They did a great job, I would definitely use them again, My designer was awesome to work with, very professional, listened to what I wanted and made some great suggestions. the construction team did a great job. they actually worked on my house prior to me moving in so I was not there for much of the work, I always found the area neat and clean when they left.

I needed to replace my 1970's tub and tile and opted for a full bathroom makeover. After speaking with the owner at a local home show, I visited their showroom. This helped the design process from the very start. They have many bathrooms on display and walls of tile, cabinetry, and fixtures. Once I had an idea of what I wanted, the designer came to my home and made suggestions based on the size and layout of my bathroom. She took all measurements and had a quote to me the same day. The price was a little higher than I expected but I was willing to take a chance due to their great reviews.
The foreman, electrician, plumber, and painter were professional and did quality work. They were neat and covered all the master bedroom furniture and flooring to and from the bathroom to protect it while they worked each day. The job was completed on schedule and to my satisfaction. They say you get what you pay for and I definitely got excellent quality for my dollar. I am in the process of contracting with Bowen Remodeling and Design to replace a leaky neo-angle fiberglass shower with a mudset tile floor and walls. I am pleased with the quality of their work and highly recommend them to others.

This company is the best we have ever used. A dream experience. We completely gutted the master bathroom, put in a new window, relocated practically everything. We remodeled a powder room and a hall bath with new fixtures, counter tops and cabinets. Starting with the design, they were knowledgeable about products and gave sound advice on the best product for the money. They didn't try to up sell us but told us when we could save money on a different product. They thought of all the little details that made the finished project have all the conveniences that we didn't think to ask for.
Their showroom display is excellent where you can actually see the quality of the products you are ordering. They started the work when they said they would and came everyday until it was finished. Their employees were professional, neat, skilled, polite and cleaned up after themselves everyday. They covered the carpets with tarps from the front door to the bathroom. The quality of the fit and finish is superior. Their time estimate from start to finish was accurate.

They also do general contracting work. I believe they are on by Bowen Contracting, and we had used them for other work also. They did an excellent job, and we had no complaints. Their demeanor and customer service skills were very nice.

Our appointment was set for 6:00 pm. By 6:30, no one showed up, so I called the office. The office was closed, so I left a message on the answering service. No one called back. Two days later, I called the office again. This time, I talked to a person who took my information and said that she would give the message to Samantha Bowen. It's now four days later, and still, no phone call. I can appreciate that everyone makes mistakes and schedules can sometimes be unpredictable, but the lack of any explanation or communication is just inconsiderate and unprofessional. I have no input on the quality of this company's work, since they did not actually do the work.

From estimate to installation work was achieved with relative ease, and all associated trades were coordinated. The company was flexible and always tried to meet my needs. The painters were outstanding and very neat. (Painted the entire second floor)

At first, they came and gave estimate then I have to do some follow ups for the schedule. They e-mailed and called back for the reminders and when they are finally coming. We were painting when he came and he just did his job. He told me everything what he is doing. His work was amazing; it was a real package, there was nothing left for me to clean, and he just did a great job. My husband had an engineering degree and he is amazed with his works. He is really professional. He is also famous in the area and good, he is somebody you could call and rely on your stuff. I am happy with the whole thing. I got more than the service I needed.

They have been fabulous. They helped fix an electrical issue we've always had when they remodeled. The price was less expensive then other quotes we received. Their quality, punctuality, and professionalism are great. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

Up until the very end, everything went well and the men were all very nice. The problems began when we were trying to get them to come and finish a small part of the job. They had to move a wall and install some more tile. It was not done the way we wanted. My husband let them know of this. Eventually, Tom, the head carpenter, came out and finished the project. Everything wound up looking wonderful! The only issue we had in the end was with a door Tom hung; again, he came out and fixed everything right away.

I thought they were very nice and the price was reasonable. I went to their showroom and picked stuff out and the lady was very nice. The only thing is I put down the down payment and have emailed her a few times and she has not gotten back with me. They are not scheduled to start until April 30, 2012.

The Bowen team completed the demolition of our bathroom in one day. The rebuild was complete in less than two weeks, with the exception of the custom glass for our shower enclosure. The entire bathroom was retiled, the shower was redesigned, and we replaced the original tub with a corner tub. The price was very fair. A viturally identical deisign with another major bathroom remodeler was over $15000 more! The workmanship was first class, and the entire operation was very clean. The workers were extremely careful to ensure dust and dirt was kept to a bare minimum. After the job was done, we also had the entire bathroom repainted by Bowen as well. I would highly recommend Bowen for either bathroom remodeling or painting. We will use them again for sure.

Was very satisfied with professionalism of the staff including estimator, lead painter, and office staff. All appts were on time. It was a 4-day job and everyday they cleaned up and mopped floor before they left for the day. The work came out very nice - makes these rooms look new again. They finished the job a day before estimated completion. Only glitch was a minor one, which was the estimator told me they would use any paint I requested although they preferred Sherwin Williams because they had a contract with them. When I called the office with my paint selection, I requested Behr. On painting day, they showed up with Valspar (?) paint. I contacted the office as soon as I noticed this and the estimator called back to explain they did not understand was partial to Behr. He dropped by my house that afternoon to provide information supporting that Valspar is a good quality paint and showed the colors exactly matched the Behr colors I had selected. After researching the paint brand, I realized it is an equivalent quality paint, but I wish they would have gotten my approval instead of just showing up with it. This is a good company and I highly recommend them.

Overall, the experience was good. They were talking about doing good work, but I thought their estimate, at the time, were a little too high. They were incredibly professional, arrived on time, and had samples. I might consider them because of the work that we talked about doing.
