Only conduct business with James Pingleton because he is "The Best OF The Best!" Because: (1) He is honest in his presentation; no pressure sales tactics. (2) He constantly updated my husband and me on the progress of the job because we had some rainy days. (3) The workers left the premises neat and clean. Fantastic! The gentlemen who came to work on our roof were very courteous and cleaned up the area both evenings. I spoke with Diana in their office aat least a couple of times and she was very courteous and responsive to any questions we had. We would definitely use them again!

Getting an estimate was extremely fast and easy which surprised me because our roof is fairly complex. James was courteous and friendly. The crew showed up on time and were very diligent. The crew boss was Javier and he was knowledgable and very easy to work with. The job took a little less than 2 weeks but that's because we also had them install gutter screens which took a few extra days. The new roof looks beautiful, and we are hopeful it will be leak-free for decades to come. Having a new roof put on is a messy process. No matter how much they try to clean up the nails that come off, be prepared to find more in your yard/driveway. Overall we are very satisfied with Certified Inc and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them for roofing.

Can't sing the praises of this company enough (especially James!). We have a row house that had multiple old layers needing to be removed, and needed an entirely new roof including turret, gutters, and downspout. Certified was one of eight Angie's List roofing companies we contacted, and one of only three to respond with a quote. They came in with a very competitive price, and were willing and able to start quickly. The entire roof was replaced during about a three week period of constant rain, and they managed to work around the weather and other jobs wonderfully. James was quick to communicate schedule changes beyond their control, and was quick to address any concerns. Due to the weather and state of the roof, we did have a couple minor leaks while work was going on. James and the team were quick to address everything, and even offered to repair drywall and repaint out of pocket. Since we had another contractor doing interior renovations, we just had them touch up the spots instead - but it was extremely professional for them to go the extra mile by offering. They also steered us in the way of a solar company, and while we were hesitant at first it turned out to be just as good of a deal as promised. Once permitting is through, and next year's taxes roll around, we will end up completely off the power grid for no net cost. We never would've thought to explore this option, and really appreciated James bringing it to our attention in a manner that didn't pressure us one way or another. All told, we could not have been happier, and have piece of mind in both their warranty and quality of service. We plan to contact them for upcoming window replacements and to add a roof deck down the road. In short - save time and contact them over other roofing companies!

Certified was a pleasure to work with. James visited the house, provided an estimate, and answered all of my questions. He was easy to work with and provided a much cheaper estimate than I received from another local company. The crew completed their work quickly, was friendly, and did an amazing job of cleaning up the associated debris. While I haven't had a chance to inspect the quality of the work, I was impressed by the warranties offered by Certified. I would recommend them to others looking for roofing work.

Certified did an outstanding job with our new roof. Their installation team arrived on time, was courteous and efficient, and did an excellent job. The new roof looks fantastic, and they were meticulous about cleaning up the substantial amount of debris from the old roof removal. We had a minor issue with the wrong shingles being delivered from their supplier. It was fixed quickly and did not delay the installation. Additionally, they offer a comprehensive 50 year warranty on their work and products. I would definitely recommend them to any friend or family member that needed roofing work.

It went extremely well. We chose a more expensive roof to match the era of our historic home and also replaced the gutters and skylight. Tom provided the estimates from 3 years ago and was able to source an even better non-fading black slate. From start to finish he and his crew were quick to respond, come on time and clean up on a daily basis. As our roof was over 100 years old we had never experienced this kind of project. The lead crew manager - Javier - was a delight to be around....and when I was sort of shocked at how much tarp had to be put on the grass and debris that fell down he made it all seem not so terrible. Every night they cleaned up very well and made us feel like we had out house back for the evening. They also managed to do it in a very short amount of time....far shorter than I expected given the rainy season we have had. This was an expense we avoided for 7+ years as babies and life got in the way. Tom gently eased us into the decision and was respectful of our financial concerns and aesthetic desires. Lastly, when we had a few tiny things that needed some follow up they called right away and were out within a few days to take care of everything. Our new slate roof makes our pretty old house really shine. When I drive down our street from the backside I never have an ounce of regret that we finally made it happen. Tom, Javier and the entire Certified team were exceptional.

They came when scheduled and almost completed the job the first day. I had to call to point out that they failed to complete some flashing installation. The main problem was a lack of adequate clean up. Many old roofing nais were all over, including our driveway, causing a flat tire. Trash blew off the roof a few weeks later - it was a piece of aluminum flashing. Very disappointing!

Excellent work in all respects. Staff was prompt, professional, helpful. Prices were lower than several other high quality providers Will be working with these folks again as need arises.

We were very pleased with the quality of the completed job. They had problems with the exterior of the dormer but when this was brought to their attention they quickly redid it to our complete satisfaction. They had 5-7man crews working from morning to dark. They kept the work site clean and left no debris for us to clean up. Only the foreman spoke English

We contacted several roofers to do this work and received three estimates, but James from Certified, Inc. was the best at offering and explaining options.It was also the most competitive bid and offered the best warranty. He was easy to talk with, which made the interactions pleasant. James was extremely responsive throughout the process to our questions and concerns. We believe the contract was very fair; it was modified to reflect certain specifications we had. James came the first day to make sure all the work was going well, as promised. He also promptly responded to a separate issue that arose regarding a portion of the roof on another part of the house and ensured that his foreman conducted a thorough inspection of the area. We were also impressed with Juan, the foreman, who was extremely competent and knowledgeable as well as hardworking and personable. He and his crew worked 12-bour days to finish before a rainstorm. He came up with a plan to fix a leak in a portion of our roof that was not easy to fix, and provided us information about the construction of our house pertinent to the roofs. The crew was able to capably address problems that arose as the old roof was removed, and the new roofs look so much better. We wanted to keep the stones that weighted down one of the roofs, and the crew moved what turned out to be a larger amount than we anticipated to several areas so we wouldn't have to deal with one, very heavy pile. Although the job will not be completed until the new skylights are installed in a couple of weeks, we have had two significant rainstorms and there are no leaks. We recommend Certified, Inc. for reroofing with no reservations.

Our experience was good, both with the estimate we received, (we were given many options and many price points if we'd chosen to replace the roof) and with the repair work we went with. After we sent in our contract, we did have to reach out to the scheduler to get it scheduled, but then things moved along quickly after that and it was easy to work with the scheduler. The man who came to do the work was very friendly and professional and came back himself to complete the repair. His work seemed thorough, though the test will come next winter if we have another ice dam in our gutter! We would hire Certified again.

First: note that I get $50 off the price of work for leaving this review. Still will be as honest as I can. James came on time, answered questions, and promptly returned with an estimate. Their estimate was roughly in line with others, and Certified had such good reviews here that I opted for them. We scheduled the work pretty fast. So far so good. On the second day or so of work, James called me to confirm whether I wanted the skylight covered or not. We had talked about this and included it in the contract that I did indeed want the existing skylight removed and covered. He said OK. The next day, after the work was done, I went up to the roof to check it out. It all looked good, except there was brand new skylight installed. I called James and told him I did not want that and wanted it removed. He apologized and said they'd come out that week to remove it and cover it up. They didn't come that week but they did eventually come remove it. All in all, not a huge issue, but also not super professional. I had a bit of an issue when the workers throwing stuff off the roof. It knicked up our back porch a bit, and the neighbors (politely) complained to me about junk going into their yard and smashing one of their plant pots. I called James, and he offered to reimburse. When the work was done, I found a new potted plant on the back porch. That was a nice gesture. And, worth noting that the workers did clean up everything pretty good after they were done. But the next issue came with the bill. We had agreed to pay for planking that had to be replaced. The bill included about $300 of planking. That was in the contract, and in line (though on the high end) of the verbal estimate James had given me. Unexpectedly though, they added $160 to rebuild the hatch curb. This is not something we discussed, and was not included in contract. I called James about it, and he explained that they normally charge much more for this, but they were cutting me a deal. But, again, we had never discussed this, it was not in the contract, and I had never OKed the work. In the end, they cut the price in half, but it left a bad taste in my mouth. If they knew they were going to have to do this, why not add it in the original estimate or at least let me know? Again, not the end of the world. We're talking less than $100 on a $7500 job. So I'm honestly conflicted about the experience. Price was good and the end product was good, but the bad communications about work expectations and the haggling over the final small costs didn't leave me feeling enthusiastic. I’d probably recommend with qualifications—make sure you discuss everything and get it in writing so both parties know what to expect.

We are a property management company and have used in the past, and will use Certified again in the future. The responsiveness and professionalism from the first contact, their estimator James, was perfect and the price seemed fair for the work completed. Where they seemed to have fallen a bit short this time was that some of the work was incomplete after day one, and though they were coming back to complete the work, did not communicate that with my on-site manager, leaving him to wonder why it wasn't complete and when they planned to return. They left their materials in the yard with no indication when they were returning, and the work was started on a Saturday, so it would have been good to know if they were planning on coming back on Sunday, Monday or when. Additionally, their crew left nails in the front yard and our landscaper had to replace some tires on his lawnmower due to flats caused by the nails in the yard. That was not only not good, but out of character for this company. Our first roofing experience with them did not leave this kind of debris, so I'm going to put this down as a fluke by whoever was running this crew, but I do think the company should be aware that this is not the way we would expect the job to end. Our landscaper had to put money out of pocket to fix these flats on his equipment. Not good. Perhaps a magnetic yard sweep would have been in order.

Very pleased with Certified's service, especially considering the cost. The salesman and work crews were professional, punctual, and did the appropriate job for our home. Other providers tried to sell us features that were quite inappropriate for our 80+ years old home. Certified had worked on our type of home in our neighborhood before, and did the job the right way for the right price.

Tom Keehn of Certified INC.and his team of professional Roofers provided an excellent experience. From the first contact call, speaking to the office staff, Diane and later Jodi, to the personalized 1.5 hour meeting with the companies representative we were impressed. The meeting in our home was detailed, providing answers to every question. When the introductory meeting was over, we reviewed the quality of this company's work online, we looked at each other and commented, this is the company we want to work with. We feel blessed and pleased we made the right decision The Materials for the job arrived on schedule followed by a team of workers. Tom's team arrived promptly and began to remove the existing roof. I received a call from Mr.Keehn, informing me that the existing Roof had been built up with more layers,than we were aware of, requiring more labor and time. He made a modest and fair adjustment in the pricing, and the work proceeded without any delays. The next morning there were eight workman present to complete the install of our new roof.The workman were professional, and courteous. When the job was completed, the work site was completely cleaned, restored, revealing little evidence that big trucks, sophisticated equipment, roofing materials, and a busy work effort had taken place. What remained was a professionally installed attractive New Roof. We thank Tom Keehn for his personal input in guiding us to the right roof selection and for working with us to accomplish a very important and needed project to protect our home. What a pleasant experience! Certified is a very well run company. They have replaced several roofs in my neighborhood. Everyone I talked to is extremely happy with their workmanship Tom Keehn is a very experienced roofing consultant that provided me with a very detailed proposal. He offered me less costly options for the skylight installation. In addition, he offered discounts to me and my neighbors if we had our roofs replaced at the same time. There was no sales pressure to use Certified Inc or to sign a contract. He provided me with an accurate staring time, communicated well from start to finish. The job was done very professionally and on time. I can highly recommend this company.

We ended up adding fanfold insulation and Tyvek wrap under the siding. Certified delivered supplies and when the weather broke they were on site with a full crew and installed in a day and a half. The project went well the crew was polite, happy and tidy. Turned out great. Will use them again for siding and any roofing projects I have in the future.

Great. Shingle recommendation was spot on. Installation went smoothly with little hiccups. Those hiccups that did occur (materials that were not delivered to job site) were quickly remedied (part of the crew went to pick up edge vents from distributor). Roof looks great. It has rained a lot since the installation. I have yet to notice any leaks.

Excellent - efficient, friendly, good value

James was great - he arrived early for the inspection, provided a verbal estimate on the spot and a formal written estimate that same evening. The work took longer than expected because upon removing the old roof, it was discovered that we didn't have just one bad roof, we had three old roofs layered on top of one another. Additionally, once the old roofs were removed, we found that there was no underlying tapering system for the roof. James kept us informed of the progress the roofers were making. Adding a tapering system was expensive and not a cost we had planned for, but James provided us with all the information we needed to make a decision on upgrading the roof to a tapered system. During construction, our building was a bit of a mess (inside and out) but the cleaned up upon request. The new roof is fantastic. No leaks and a lengthy warranty. I would highly recommend Certified Inc.
