Certified Roofing

Both the sales person (James) and the subcontractor (Choi) were friendly and helpful. In particular, Choi did an outstanding job on the siding. There were a couple frustrating points - namely not enough materials were ordered and there wasn't any flexibility on their install dates.

Certified proposed a great system and gave me a great price. Work was scheduled quickly. Problems arose with their distributor and delivery of materials (supplier came a day ahead, in a truck to big to turn down my street, and was not equipped to put the materials up on the roof). This was eventually straightened out the next day by the installation crew. While the skylights were temporarily removed, large amounts of dirt, roofing debris, and broken skylight glass fell into my house, which I had to clean up myself because the installers had taken no precautions - such as putting down drop cloths. They reinstalled the skylights with smears of tar inside and out, so they had to come back and remove, clean, and reinstall them. On inspection, I found unsealed flashing on the roof, and debris in my gutters, which the contract specified they were to clean. So they had to come back yet again and fix that. And if I hadn't been able to climb up on my roof, I would never have found these problems. Ultimately, I think the roof is good and it has a 20 year warranty, but there were a lot of avoidable problems with the installation process that left a bad taste.

Shockingly, swimmingly easy. James at Certified was incredibly friendly and responsive; came in on short notice, did a very fast inspection, and offered us multiple avenues for replacement at far more reasonable prices than the competition. I'm still kind of shocked at how quick and effortless this work was completed.

Excellent, quick, and as promised. Super easy to work with and communication was excellent. Their quote was much better than several competing companies and their products are great quality.

My roof is very steep with several gables but the roofers were knowledgeable, professional and thorough in their work! They did an excellent job in clean up as well. They also finished in the timeframe they had estimated the job would take to complete. I highly recommend Certified Inc for roofing work. Additionally, James the sales representative was very responsive to my questions and the office manager called me to let me know when the roofers would start work and followed up in a very professional and friendly manner to respond to my questions timely.

I worked with James and Tom to get a full roof replacement under our insurance. They were always on-time and very helpful as we went through the process with the insurance company. They went above and beyond. In the end we got a top quality roofing job done on time and we are very happy with pricing and how they helped us work with our insurance. I would highly recommend them.

James came out to meet me soon after I contacted Certified. He was punctual and was very professional in going over all the materials and work to be done. The work was done on schedule (only delayed due to weather). The workers left everything clean and tidy and were respectful of our property. The new roof looks good. The only hiccup we had was due to an invoice issue, but James resolved it without a problem.

James came out to give me an estimate on replacing my existing roof and very patiently answered my questions from our initial meeting to waiting for hoa approval. A crew of three men came and worked very **** ** the roof. There are a few lingering issues, but overall I am very pleased.

The company did what was agreed. The salesman was very impressive and took the time to really explain the work plan. The foreman was approachable, friendly and also responsive. I believe the work team was stunned to find five layers of old roof that needed to be removed and it more than doubled the expected time of the work (from 2.5 to 5.5 days). Overall, the company stuck to the deal despite the additional work. I wish the company had been better at communication (managing expectations), cleanliness (it was an incredibly dirty job and we had so much garbage and dust both in the back and front yard: including all over our unprotected porch furniture. The company didn't leave the place in the shape they found it (there is still roof pieces in the gutters, I found our alarm sign in the neighbor's front yard; when I opened the attic door upon final inspection I received a shower of stones and dirt in my face). I believe they did a good job in the end but not without some frustration; they kept to the contractual arrangement despite the unexpected additional work; but 5-10 minutes of sweeping at the end of the day would have made much of a difference.

The work was done much quicker than I expected. They started working three days after contract was signed. The overall quality of the work is excellent. Many details of the job were taken care of.

The crew worked hard to complete with quality and workmanship. I was impressed at how well they worked together as though each new what the other was doing. Very coordinated. The final product appears to be something the crew can be proud of. I am very happy with the project and appreciated all of the attention to detail. The entire work area was much cleaner than it was before the work started. I got eight estimates and Certified came up just a little below the average, but I sensed that I would get good service and communication after James went through all of the steps with me prior to work. Thank you for such a positive experience.

Absolutely perfect job, from beginning to end. The work was done on schedule with excellent workmanship. The crew who did the work were pleasant and easy to work with. The foreman communicated every step and couldn't have been nicer. They were very skilled roofers and cleaned up afterwards with not a single nail or bit of trash left behind. I would use them again without any reservation. I wish all companies were this good.

Certified was excellent. While the job took longer than estimated (5 full days vs 1 day), there was a lot of work to do and the crews performed with the utmost professionalism and pride in their work. I am very happy with the finished product. The house looks incredible and we're so excited not to ever have to worry about rotten wood again! Thank you James and Thank you Certified!

It took a number of days longer than expected, but we never received an explanation as to why. I believe the work was good, but it has only been a few days since the work was completed. I will provide an update.

They had to be asked to nail down certain areas and paint the siding that was marked up when putting on the roof. They did fix the problems right away. A note to those who do not have a ceiling in their garages or attics, cover your cars or anything in there that you don't want wood or debris on. They didn't mention this to me prior. So when they cut the roof vent for the garage, my car ended up with splintered wood and shavings. Since I had never had a roof replaced, I didn't know to ask. The crew was fast and they cleaned up the yard afterwards. I'm pleased with the the way the roof looks and would recommend them. They were all nice to deal with.

Certified did an outstanding job, just as they did almost 3 years ago when they installed new gutters on my house. Everyone I dealt with was professional, responsive and courteous during the entire process. We had one minor installation issue which was promptly corrected when I pointed it out. The crew's workmanship was impeccable--they really are craftsmen--and they did an excellent job cleaning up after the job was done. I couldn't be more pleased with the results.

The final product was a great improvement. The team was flexible and quickly addressed any new issues which we discovered as we pulled off the old materials. The teams were efficient and cleaned up the property well before they left.

The workmen were quiet and went about the work in a professional manner. They cleaned up as they went even the leaves from the gutters. They did a good job.

James came out to do an estimate within two days of calling. He was very friendly and professional. I told him that I had cheaper estimates but that I was more comfortable having his team do the work. He was the sixth company that I had met with. Most places were quoting me $9000! Even while out of town with his family he dropped the price as much as he could so that I could afford to use his team and superior materials, compared to the less expensive estimates that I had received. They were out to replace the roof within 10 day, other companies were telling me that it would be over two weeks before they could get to the job. The price ended up being much over due to so much wood that needed to be replaced, while it's not their fault, it was another $800! I wish that I could have budgeted more for that. I am putting this house on the market and no other companies would transfer the labor warranty to the new owner, James told me that I could transfer the 15 year labor warranty to the new owner, and the shingles came with a 50 year warranty. I'm very pleased with the work and experience. I would use them again in the future!!
