Certified Roofing

The initial estimate went very well. James, the estimator, was punctual, informative, and friendly. We received 4 total estimates and Certified's product and pricing was very competitive. We chose Certified because they had the best warranty and were willing to price match our second best offer. We had a bit of an issue with scheduling, the initial work was scheduled for January 30th, and as the date approached, weather conditions were looking unfavorable. I was concerned with work being done in temperatures below freezing (ideally roofs should be installed at temp. above 40F). I called Certified the Wednesday before our installation to reschedule and was told that the person responsible for scheduling was not going to be back until after the office closed on Friday. So essentially there would be no way for me to contact him before the day of our scheduled installation. I was assured that the installation wouldn't take place in unfit weather conditions and that if the weather forecast continued to look bad for Jan. 30th that someone would call me over the weekend to reschedule. It ended up snowing Sunday night and temperatures continued in the low 30s through Monday morning. I never heard from Certified over the weekend. Needless to say, I was a little concerned. I called Monday morning to make sure the installation would not take place that day and they were amenable to rescheduling, however not very apologetic about the poor communication. Long story short, after a few more attempts at rescheduling due to weather conditions, and some more missed communications, we were finally able to get the roof installed the next week. We are very happy with how the roof turned out. Javier, the lead roofer, was very professional, and did a excellent job. He he even provided me with pictures of the installation process so that I could see what was being done without having to climb the roof myself. Overall, I could not be happier with the finished product, however, I feel that the company's communication could be improved.

The new roof and gutters look great! The reason for the B rating is due to few hick ups in communication. James, the main contact, was always easy to reach to answer questions; however, when he told me the arrival time for the roof crew over an hour later than actual time of the arrival, I was not ready at 7 AM, when the crew arrived and asked to move all cars out of the drive way so they can get their truck through my drive way... I wish this was communicated to me.

Workers arrived on schedule, safely removed the old shingles, replaced 8 sheets of plywood due to rot, installed new shingles, etc. and cleaned up the surrounding grounds of all debris prior to departure. The crew supervisor generously left behind some shingles at my request.

Great! Easy process, James clearly explained my options, and the different qualities available, and was easy to work with. The work was completed very quickly, and the crew did a thorough cleanup of my yard.

From beginning of getting estimates, to final decision and completed job, Certified was definite a stand out company for excellence! Tom provided a clear and competitive estimate, answered all questions and offered suggestions. Crew showed up on time, was super friendly and professional. Completed all work as promised, and were immaculate on clean up! A++++ service all around.

Extremely responsive to my request for an estimate. Final price was very reasonable in comparison to other roofers I contacted. Scheduled the work to fit my schedule. Performed the work expeditiously to avoid forecasted snowfall. Workmen were on time and friendly. Thoroughly cleaned up after the work was finished. Excellent service! The salesman was not at all pushy and was very upfront about products, services, pricing, and insurance matters. Certified was able to get us on the schedule within a week of signing the contract. They offered a better product at a lower price point than the competitors that we interviewed. The workers were competent and communicative, and the finished product looks great.

The job went well. The crew started and finish as stated in the contract. The office and estimator were very responsive to questions and concerns. However, the crew supervisor would not return calls or text messages. He promised pictures of the old roof damage areas. Those pictures were not provided until I called the office. As a normal course of business, this company should provide before, during and after pictures to the customer. This would require little time and ZERO cost to the company. I was not able to get after pictures which would have been nice to have since I have a flat roof that can not be seen from the ground. Kudos to the office staff and estimator. They covered somewhat for the poor "D" responsiveness of the crew chief.

The job went very well. The only glitch in the overall process from our perspective was a lack of communication related to our installation schedule. Our sales representative was on vacation the week our installation occurred and we were unable to find out from the home office if there was a weather delay before 10am, the latest the team would have shown up. Given the pouring rain we assumed the install was going to be pushed forward a day but no one from the answering service was able to confirm this - we had to wait until the office opened. The quote process went smoothly, the work performed appears to be high quality, the work crew was polite and did a very thorough job cleaning up both days. We had a question about the final bill and it was resolved immediately. We are thrilled with our new roof and anticipate decades of happy shelter from the elements.

After a tree fell on a back section of my roof, damaging the roof, gutter and a window frame I contacted Certified for an estimate. They called promptly and we set up an appointment for the following day. James showed up exactly on-time, and was great to work with. He was very professional and extremely helpful. The written estimate/pricing was provide via email later that same day. The pricing proposed was very reasonable, and we agreed to proceed with the recommended repairs. All work was completed as promised, and the roof, replaced gutter run and window frame all look "good as new." I would certainly recommend Certified for any roofing related needs.

They have an exceptionally helpful and pleasant staff and work is done well. Certified did a full roof replacement about a year and a half ago and i was equally pleased with them then.

It went very well. They came when they said they would, it took two days and they cleaned up after themselves. We are very happy. JP was very helpful and his crew did a great job.

Excellent. Very professional staff. Company provided me with sample homes to see shingle colors, promptly scheduled a time for the job and completed the job on time. The workers were professional and they did an excellent job. The clean-up was complete.

Very well. Took some extra time given that our roof timber was 90-year-old oak, some of which needed replacement. And the rest is tougher than most roofers encounter these days. These guys worked from first light until after dark. Particularly grateful that they beat the rain!

This is my SECOND roof from this company. The first roof I purchased for my mom, with the help of James Pinkerton. Because of the great service and care given to my mom, I decided to get my roof done by the same company. This time, I was helped by Mr. Tom Keene. The roofers and gutter men showed up on time. During the installation, it was found that I needed more plywood than anticipated. I really appreciated getting a picture of the wood that needed to be replaced. Upon completion of the roof and gutters, the workers took care to make sure my yard was clear of nails and debris. I did incur one small issue that was quickly rectified when I contacted Mr. Keene. I am very pleased with the job Certified has done. This was my second purchase, and I have 1 more future purchase to go. I feel good knowing that I do not have to look no further than Certified to purchase a quality roof.

The work was scheduled to start within a week of agreeing to the contract. The workers were professional and timely, and the quality of the work appears to be superior. The job took several hours longer than expected, making the clean up activities spill into a third day. I'm very happy all around. The only improvement area I would note is communication on the timing and detail of the clean up work that needed to be performed over the weekend following the two days of work during the week. However, this is a very minor item surrounded by many great things. The price was great for the work performed.

Extremely well. I was impressed with every facet of service from the salesman, James Pinkerton, to the crew that did the work. I can't say enough about the quality of work/work ethic of the crew. They worked after dark and in bitter cold with high winds to finish the job before an ice storm. Very impressive! A neighbor recommended them and I'm glad he did.

Both the sales person (James) and the subcontractor (Choi) were friendly and helpful. In particular, Choi did an outstanding job on the siding. There were a couple frustrating points - namely not enough materials were ordered and there wasn't any flexibility on their install dates.
