Certified Roofing

This is the second job that Certified Inc has done for our family and we have been absolutely delighted with the professionalism, punctuality and workmanship that we received. I would hire Certified for any future project and would refer (and have already) to any friend or family member.

The replacement of the roof went very well. Javier and his team showed up on time and worked hard each and every day. Their workmanship was excellent, and they cleaned up each day prior to leaving the property. I would highly recommend this company and Javier. They take pride in their work.

Certified did a nice job replacing a roof on a rental property that I own. They installed PVC material and worked underneath an existing roof deck. They had to come back a couple of times to make my neighbor who had some complaints happy, and they did so without hesitation. I will use them on other projects.

Generally things went very well. The roofing team was a dream. The guys showed up early every day and put a good hard more than full day's work. The foreman, Javier, was excellent - very attentive and knowledgable. I felt the whole time that the project was in good hands. We did have some small issues. For example, the start date was changed abruptly. Tom, the owner, helped to rectify the situation and we were able to go back to the originally agreed upon date. None of the issues would keep me from hiring them again. They did a great job. We're very pleased with the end result.

Certified did a great job. Jose, the lead roofer, was very polite and professional. James, the estimator, was also very polite and professional. As a whole, Certified met and exceeded my expectations. I chose Certified and two other contractors for estimates because they were a CertainTeed premier contractors. One of the other offers was competitive with Certified, but I found that Certified to be more professional. The other offer was just laughable after comparing it to Certified. They were just trying to milk me for every penny. Here is a hint, stay away from companies that use high pressure sales tactics and advertise on TV. I am so glad I chose Certified. They understand that the customer wants value and great craftsmanship. I recommend them for any roofing job.

James is the first person from the company that we met. He is personable, knowledgeable and gets to the point, which I appreciated. We interviewed 3 different companies and the pricing wasn't very different, but Certified was a little less expensive than the other two. We decided to go with Certified because we were impressed with James and the company's 5 star warranty. The crew worked hard in some excruciating heat. They were also thorough and paid attention to detail. I especially liked interacting with Jose, the foreman on the job. He was happy to answer questions. The crew cleaned up after themselves and were done in about a day and a half. The roof is beautiful.

Great! I did my research. I met with several roofing companies prior to choosing Certified. Certified gave me the best solution for solving a tricky gutter issue and their warranty can't be beat. Certified also helped us decide on solar panels which was a great decision for us. James was excellent, super responsive, honest and upfront. They worked quickly, kept things tidy, and when there was a minor issue (as there always is) came back and adjusted to my liking immediately.

My wife and I are extremely pleased with the work performed on our home. James Pingleton was a delight to work with. He was very responsive to my calls and any concerns that I had. I would definitely recommend Certified to anyone looking to have work performed on their roof and would not hesitate to use them again if the need arises.

We hired Certified because they had done a roof for our son. We did not get multiple proposals so it is difficult for us to comment on how their price would compare to others. Our son said that he evaluated different proposals and they were competitive, not the highest, not the lowest. We found Certified to be highly professional, from the initial meeting to explain the options for a new roof, to the actual installation, to discussions over a minor snafu during the installation. The team was very punctual, showed up very early with a large seemingly very capable crew and worked a very long (very hot) day the first day and was able to finish up mid-day on the second day. The small snafu involved one of the crew members placing a board over the outside A/C compressor, which caused it to overheat and shut off. I managed to figure out how to reset that system. Certified addressed this snafu very responsibly and professionally and allowed me to deduct the estimated cost of an A/C contractor maintenance call from the final invoice. I would definitely recommend using Certified again. The roof and new skylights look great. They also did a good job of cleaning up each day after finishing up, which was important to us..

Certified was excellent to work with. They were extremely responsive and professional, from the proposal through completion of the job. Their crew was top notch and their rates are competitive. We interviewed several companies and we were very happy we chose Certified.

John was excellent during our initial proposal visit; his demeanor and "soft sell", as well as a competitive price won our business over 4 others. There was a little confusion when they initially began work, but after this was solved the project was completed in a professional and timely manner. We were impressed with the difference this new siding made in the look of our home and the energy savings we immediately noticed. They also offered to accept a substantial amount of payment by credit card.

James Pingleton was punctual, pleasant to speak to and informative. When later asked (via email) he was quick to respond.

James came to the house to evaluate the job and give us an estimate. He made a professional and thorough presentation of products they would use as well as Certified's capabilities and warranty. Javier and his crew did an excellent job with the installation. They showed up on time and worked long hours in the heat and humidity. They were always courteous and professional. Overall the job was professional and a good experience. I would definitely hire them again.

James was excellent to work with the entire process of having our roofing and gutters. We had a quote done several months before and was not hassled in the interim as we have had been in the past by another roofing company. Certified's pricing and quality of materials was very competitive and fair. One small complaint would be scheduling. There was no advance courtesy notice as to when they would show up for either the roof or the gutters. This does not deter us from highly recommending Certified to others.

He was professional but he did not ask us any questions like the one we had on Monday. The plus point for him was he does work with somebody that does solar systems. He referred us to him. He did not walk up in the attic. He did not seem to do as thorough a job at looking and reviewing the status or condition of the roof. I'm not sure if the estimate he provided is going to be close to what they're saying or whether we're going to have to appraise it. He did ok.

Excellently. James showed up on time and proceeded to tell me what he was going to look for and how he was going to document it if he found anything. We had had areas nearby where hail had caused damage but not on our street, so I wanted to see if we had experienced any damage. It turned out that we hadn't and the roof is good for about five more years. The inspection took under 30 minutes and I was very satisfied. I'd definitely use Certified again.

I postponed my plans for other reasons so I did not follow through the project. But the gentleman who came promptly to walk through provided estimate in a thorough and timely manner, and also provided reference upon request.

Certified was very professional and responsive from quote to completion, including resolving an issue of damage to a window screen and glass. They were the 2nd lowest bidder, but they provided a more complete and easy to read quote than any of the others and better warranties also. Additionally they were very low pressure which contributed to my decision to use them. The roof itself went very smoothly and there was surprisingly little noise. The crew (foreman Jesus) was very professional and considerate, taking care to protect the landscaping and cleaned up every nail from what I could tell. They were able to finish the job in one day per my request and did a super job. The gutters and downspouts did not go as smoothly. Certified's office was unable to tell me what time the crew would show up, which wasn't ideal since it was a Saturday and I had tons of things to do. I was away during most the job and also when they finished up. Apparently they had run out of material but completed the job with different colored material which was intended to be temporary but they did not notify me or my salesman. So I was a little shocked to see my downspout 1/2 the wrong color and immediately called my salesman (James). They did return within a couple of days to resolve this, however again nobody told me when they would show up and they actually came and left before even my salesman knew about it. They did do a good job in the end. The next day is when I noticed the hole in the window screen next to the downspout, and scratches on the window glass. My salesman took care of this immediately with the office, arranging for repair. The scheduling of the repair team was a bit challenging though, with assumptions made by Certified as to my availability, not all good ones. The scheduling of the gutters/downspouts activities and subsequent follow up visits is really my only critical thing to say about Certified. When you work from a home office on some days, you really need to know when people will be showing up as you will have conference calls etc. If they can address this one factor I would say the experience would be flawless. I would highly recommend them to anyone despite this however. I felt I got a fair deal and was treated professionally and with respect, and they seem to sincerely value their customers.

Went well, they completed the work within the specified time period.
