Our overall experience with Blue Sky Painting and Carpentry was excellent. In our opinion, they are top of their trade.
We made an appointment for an estimate, and they came out promptly.  We were pleased with the estimate.  They did an excellent painting job, showed a commitment to detail, quality work,  and completed the project to our full satisfaction. We would not hesitate to use this company again or recommend to friends and neighbors.

You will not be disappointed with this company. My Project Coordinator, Adam Almony was just great! I cannot say enough about him. Very pleasant  and extremely knowledgeable. His professionalism when he came to do the estimate is the main reason that I decided to go with this company over the other two who gave me quotes. Their pricing was in line with others.

The job began as scheduled and was completed in about 2-3 days.

After the work was completed we walked through and created a small punch list. Adam sent the crew out right away to address the items on my list.

When we did a second walk through and still had some concerns, I called Adam and he promised to address them. I was so confident that he was a man of his word, that when he asked if I didn't mind paying my balance before the issues were addressed, I said ok - and I never say that.

As promised, soon after, Adam drove down from Baltimore to a look at the work and agreed that some items still needed to be addressed. A crew member (Saul) was sent out a few days later.

I am a very happy customer who will not hesitate to hire them again and recommend them to others.

Excellent customer service and performance of work from start to finish. Adam came out and provided a fair estimate, and was readily available throughout the job for questions. Saul and his crew paid attention to detail while doing the work, and left our house as clean (or cleaner) than when they found it. They didn't have a problem with our (very specific) paint type/brand/color selection or with our trickier requests (20 ft ceilings, tray ceilings).
All in all, highly recommended.

The two man crew arrived on time and quickly got to work. I provided the wall and trim paint, and primer, Blue Sky provided the expertise. As they were waiting for the drywall patch to dry they found a bubbling above several of the drywall nails, and brought this to my attention. We agreed to have them fix the bubbles while they were here. I had both a time and dollar quote from them before they started, and even with that they came in below their anticipated budget. They painted an entire 30' by 20' wall and the paint looks flawless. Their work was fast, professional, and thorough. I highly recommend them to any one needing paint or minor carpentry.

There was a little bit of confusion between the meeting time and the contractors getting here and getting started. I was away, but my fiancé communicated to me that when they did get here, they had to leave to actually go get the paint. I guess I had assumed they'd come with the paint ready to roll. 
Other than the actual meet up, it went well. The paint was of high quality, the painters did a nice job and I am pleased with the outcome. The price IMO could be just a tad lower as I honestly had two and a half walls painted.....but you go with what's comfortable for you.

My wife and I bought our first home and we had a tight window of time before we moved in.  We were looking to have some interior painting and wall paper removal done with only 4 days to do it. We had a couple estimates and Adam was very helpful and professional with communication with us.  Adam helped us with paint selection and catered to our requests to make us happy.  He kept us in the loop about the job and crew were effecient in completing the job to our satisfaction.  Blue Sky painting really came through for us and I will certainly use them in the future when the need arises.

Everything was amazing. I have never had an experience like this with a company before. They came out and evaluated everything, gave a quote for the work, explained the quality of paint they recommended. They were very, very timely. The cleaning they did was thorough and the repairs as well as painting came out great. They were very good at color recommendations and matching the paint colors for us perfectly. We were just thrilled. We were very impressed with the attention to detail and they just nailed it. Efficient, timely, clean, I cant say enough about them. They were very easy to work with from the paint crew to the man that came out and gave the quote. It was all excellently done. As far as the trim goes, we have a pergola, a number of columns, patio, a lot of trim work they had to do. It was a perfect match up as far as the carpentry work. It was an involved process.

Project Coordinator, Adam, was the reason we chose Blue Sky - had another ballpark estimate but Adam's professionalism, courtesy & communication skills sealed the deal. We had some rotting wood trim on our 2001-era townhome in Longwood Community - some of which was on top level - and all needed a fresh coat of paint. Adam was great: listened to what we wanted done, took notes, explained clearly what Blue Sky would do. Then he got back to us with an estimate later that day (he also called each time he sent us an email throughout the project).
The crew was a different story, however. Two workers (with minimal English skills) & a supervisor (Durian was his name, as I recall) came out to do the job. Adam said it would probably take a day-and-a-half but the crew seemed to be rushing to finish it that one day. Sure enough, when I inspected their work the next morning in good light I found several problems: the re-caulking was poorly done, some painted trim edges were sloppy, a repaired PVC trim piece wasn't planed down before being painted. Worst of all, the one top level piece of trim that was to be replaced with PVC had not been - and this was written down in our Blue Sky contract. The workers had left sawdust, wood scraps & TWO NAILS in our driveway, too.
We got Adam back out here & showed him all the problems. He was respectful, attentive & agreed with us that the job was not professional work. He apologized to us & promised to make it right. The team came back, made the corrections, replaced the top level trim with PVC & painted it, re-did the poor caulking & sloppy trim edges. 
I gave Blue Sky an "A" because when all was said & done, Adam made it a success. Without his efforts & interpersonal skills this would not have been rated an "Excellent" experience. We were confident in Adam's representation of what Blue sky could do for us at the beginning & he didn't disappoint. We will hire this company again because of this ultimate guarantee of satisfactory service.

They did very nice work.  We combined a deal purchase with additional hours.  All work was performed per the quote with no overruns.  The external and internal work was all high quality and blended right in.  Courteous and clean, I would use this vendor again for sure.

They got all the work done in two days.  They even brought in a few other people during the last day to help finish up.  They were efficient and good at their job.  The living room was a bit demanding because it was very darkly painted and had to have multiple coats of paint to cover the rather garish sponge painting.  All of the walls look good now and the spots that required a little extra work (some dripping water marks) were covered nicely.  The painters even added some examples of off-white spots painted on the ceiling and asked me which I thought was the best match for the repaired spot.  [The whole ceiling was not being painted so they were matching as best they could.]
I especially enjoyed the fact that one of the main workers was a woman.  She was intelligent, very polite, and fun to talk to.  Plus she is an avid reader and a Jane Austen fan.  As all the painters were leaving she asked me about a few of the author's books she had noticed on my shelves in the living room. So we quickly exchanged our views on a few of Jane's books and movies before she left.

Arrived on time, in uniform, and worked full day.  Workers were courteous and very professional.  Painting was neatly done. Will hire for future work needed on interior of house.

Very impressed with all aspects of this job. Preparation cleaning showed the siding to be in much worse condition than covered by the origional estimate. Kevin did a revised estimate quickly and fairly. Company uses top quality paint and materials. Good clean-up.

The work turned out very well! The price was good and the quality was great! They are very responsive and professional. Even if they are not the cheapest, I appreciate them as painters.

The work was fine. You do have keep on them and to make sure they complete what you ask them to do in the way that you ask them to do it. The work was good.

We had previously hired another painting company. The crew was bad and had painted latex over oil based paint. They did a really sloppy job where the walls and woodwork were not smooth.  I asked Tom if he could fix what they did and they did a great job! He had great communication and made sure he really understood what I needed by listening to all of my concerns.  I was going to buy the paint, but I agreed to have him purchase the paint. Later, I was disappointed when I discovered that the time they took out of the day to purchase the paint subtracted from the hours within my Big Deal. When I spoke with Tom, he made things right and gave back that time they took to purchase the paint. I thought that was fair. The job took them at least two hours longer that the Big Deal time allowed. I just wonder if they would have finished on time had they used primer because we were painting orange over dark blue. We had to pay the hourly rate for all time beyond the Big Deal. They did clean up well, were courteous, and respectful. There was a lot of sanding and they did a great job with sealing off the dust and concealing it to that room. You can tell that Tom cares about whether his customers are happy. I will be hiring them for additional jobs in the future.
